I feel that Verizon has conducted and treated a long time customer in a predatory manner just to make a few dollars. I added a hotspot feature on my Iphone and its called a plan change. I wanted 1 gig and ended up with 4 gigs. If 1 gig was not available I was not informed. Plus the charge for the convertion to a new plan. I called today and I cancelled the plan so I 'm being charged another fee for the plan change. I have really enjoyed working with Verizon but I will have to start looking for another provider.

Then the employees, and you, don't understand EDGE. It's not a service plan, it's a PAYMENT option to pay the full price of the phone in installments, and have no "contract" or obligation to stay with Verizon once the phone is paid for, which you can do at any time. So if you were trying to get discounted pricing, and the reps were talking EDGE, you were talking at cross purposes....
In order to get the upgrade pricing, you need to sign a contract for 2 years of service, and agree to an ETF if you leave Verizon before the two years.

Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

You will have to set changed version as closed(DOC_CLOSED set to X)
and in active version set DOC_CLOSED to space.

My wife was given a 5s and she sent her 4s to her daughter in Thailand to use. The problem is the 4s needs to have the imei number unlocked. We need assistance on how that can be done. We are long time Verizon customers.
Your daughter will have to send it back to you. You will have to reactivate it on you line. You will then have to request to have it unlocked. See THIS thread for more information.

As I'm certain many others who bought this phone are, I am increasingly irritated that Verizon has not released the Windows 8.1 update.
When will it be release? Early 2015 is not an acceptable answer."Early 2015" is the best answer you are going to get. I suggest that it is less stressful to accept what is rather than reject it. Taking the stance of "not acceptable" for something like this does nothing but disturb your peace of mind.
Really though, to me it is very good news in the sense that we now know we WILL eventually be getting 8.1, Cyan, and Denim. Verizon has made no official statement at all about this. Now we have Joe Belfiore specifically telling us MS is working with Verizon to get the update out and it will come for the ICON. Not as informative as we would like, but much better than what we had before! -

What model MBP and which version of OS X? Sounds as if the hard drive may have failed. If you have an installation disc, try booting with it. If your machine came with Lion or Mountain Lion, try booting to the Recovery partition - Command and R keys held down while booting.

That is not good but lets see if we can get it back to life. If you can, see if you can put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you can get it to restore, it will erase everything off your iPhone. If you have a back up in iTunes or iCloud then you can put that on after the restore is complete. I have just purchased a lightning to 30 pin adaptor to use on an iPad mini and a gen5 iPod touch both devices are running iOS 8.1.3 and come up with The error message "this accessory is not supported by this device "
THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be. -

I would suggest you visit an Apple dealer, preferably an Apple Store if there's one in your city, and ask for assistance in determining what you need. The questions and issues you bring up are rather complex to address in a technical support forum and would be better addressed in person where you and the salesperson can ask questions back and forth to arrive at the optimal setup.
