I followed all of the steps to iCloud setup on PC and Photo Stream does not work
I have a Windows 7 PC, and an iphone 4. I upgraded to IOS 5 and did the iCloud setup with the download Control Panel app and set it up. However, when i take a photo with my iphone, the photo goes to my camera roll and does not go to my photo stream and there fore not to my PC photo stream folder on my PC.
So far Photo Stream does nothing. Also, Are we supposed to be able to see our photo stream if we login to iCloud? When logged in to iCloud, I see my contacts and mail and other stuff bu no Photo Stream.
Am I missing something?

I figured out the answer to my question. Photo Stream will not sync unless your iphone is connected via Wi-Fi. Now I have to go find a Wi-Fi network to see if I am correct. I read the maunal, wow, what a concept.
I hope this helps others who don't read the manual but complain on the forums!

My ipod is recognized in windows but not in itunes. It shows up in devices and gives me the ok to eject prompt, so I know that the connection is good. I ran the troubleshooter and did all the recommended fixes. Hours and hours later, I still have the same problem. Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port and not a USB or similar? Have you tried different cables to help rule out a faulty or damaged cable?

Clear your cache Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > clear now

Without more information all I can suggest is:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You can stop new photos being automatically added to Photostream in iPhoto from iPhoto preferences > Photostream.

There is no need to import anything or use Home Sharing.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer, everything will be exactly as it was. -

I'm trying to sync my ipad over wifi, with my MAC, I have the updated software on my MAC, the ipad is up to dat 6.1.2. I can follow all of the steps, but I can't find a SUMMARY button on the toolbar, nor do I receive the option to sync. What am I doing wrong or what should I look for? Thank You
To sync your iPad over Wifi:
First ensure you're running iTunes 11.0.2. And you already have your iPad up to date, good.
Plug your iPad into the Mac via USB. Click your iPad in the top toolbar (under the search bar). Click the Summary tab if it isn't already selected. Check the box to "Sync with this iPad over Wi-Fi" (you may have to scroll down to see it). And now click the Apply button at the bottom right.
You should be able to unplug your iPad from the Mac and it should still remain in iTunes. (If not, try Quitting and relaunching iTunes and waiting, restarting iPad, etc).
To initiate a sync over Wifi, click your iPad in the toolbar in iTunes then click Sync. Or on your iPad, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wifi Sync and tap "Sync Now."

I have a different Apple id on my PowerBook from that on my iMac and iPad. Photo Stream does not connect to my Powerbook. How do I change the Apple id in iCloud on my PowerBook? Will this link all 3 machines to PhotoStream?
You can't simply change the details.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button) -
Has anybody any idea, why my jpeg-picture upoaded to Photo Stream does not appear on my iPhone S4 like all the other pictures before?
Ok, it's a 4 year old picture, but taken with a digital camera as jpeg...! This cannot be the problem really, but I'm despaired after trying since days...! Thank you all for any hint you've got for me!If you asking me, I would suggest to additonally use a second storage service which also allows you to store your pictures over the 30 days period. I personally use Dropbox with automatic upload for that (https://db.tt/cMEgDUFZ), but there are also other storage services like Flickr for example.

Dear Sirs,when i use the computer updating my iphone to ios 7.1,suddenly black out.The computer has no power and my iphone does not work and keep display the screen saying the iphone need to connect to itunes. So when i connect my iphone to iTunes, the computer says"itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes"
So my question is if I click OK(restore the iphone),will i lose all my data and whatsapp??

hopelessIf you didn't back up the phone to iCloud or iTunes (on your computer) BEFORE attempting the update, the data will be lost.

I tried to update my nephew iphone 4 version 4.3.4 (8k2), I did back-up everything before attempting to update and the result when I click down-load and update, it does not update instead it says, itunes could not contact the iphone software update server because you are not connected to the internet. I did check my wire-less connections and the connection from my PC to wire-less is hundred percent okay. I did search using google.com to confirm and my connections is good.
