If you have recently changed the password on your Apple ID account, you may need to manually sign out and sign back in to your Apple ID on your device for the change to take effect. You may find the following article helpful:

So I have an iphone and for some reason I don't know the password for my Apple ID so I can't download apps and I don't have the password to my email to change it and I don't know the secret questions , what can I do to make a new Apple ID ?
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -

I need to change the country for my Apple store account but this message appears "You have a store credit balance; you must spend your balance before you can change stores." but my credit is 1.58$ only and I couldn't buy any app with this amount! I just downloaded a new software update on my I-phone5. As part of the process I was asked to sign in to iCloud and enter the password for an ID that I've long ago deleted with Apple. Anyone know why my new apple ID isn't coming up?
No. The problem is that when you changed Apple IDs you did not update your Apple ID to reflect the change, so your phone is still associated with the old ID. You will need to un-associate it. The process is the same as what you would do if you sold the phone. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5661

You can't reset it. If you don't konw the password then you can't use that backup

Is the iPad asking for the password to your Apple ID or to a previous owners ID? If you are trying to activate an iOS device and it is asking you for a previous owners Apple ID and password you have encountered the Activation Lock. You must enter the previous owner's Apple ID and password or contact the previous owner and ask them to erase the device and remove it from their Find My iPhone. If you purchased this device used, return it and ask them to clear the device or request a refund. Without the original owner's Apple ID and password you will never be able to use the device and no one here can help you activate it.

I meant reset then try the recovery mode restore again.
You can also try DFU Mode.
DFU (Device Firmware Update) Mode is different than Recovery Mode.
DFU Mode is a special mode where the device can still interface with iTunes, yet it does not load the iBoot bootloader.
DFU Mode:
Plug your device into your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Hold the Home button without releasing the Power button for 10 seconds
Release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode
NOTE: Make sure the device screen is blank and no logos are present. Be patient, it make take several trys. -
I just purchased a "Bag of Gems" for $9.99 in "Clash of Clans". The purchase did not download. I checked my account and the $9.99 transaction has posted already. I did the advise from Apple Support to do software update and still nothing.

I keep trying to purchase something in the iTunes Store but it comes up with "Your account is temporarily unavailable" "Store unable to access my account info" But I have checked my account info and everything is up to date.

Hi- I am trying to download music from my computer to my ipod. I have an itunes account and the music is on the computer but it won't go to ipod, it keeps telling me I need to download an upgrade but the upgrade does not complete itself and after like 2 hours displays an error sign. How do I fix this so I can get the music to my ipod. Both ipod and computer(toshiba, windows 7) are brand new. Help!! I am not technologically smart!
I suspect that you are saying that you can't download/install the latest version of iTunes.
All I can say is try removing and reinstalling the Apple software using the following:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
If you have further problems with installing Itunes I suggest you post in the iTunes forum since you have an iTunes problem, not an iPod problem. Also report the wording of any error messages. What they say is importent on resolving them. -

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad.plist.
Move the .plist to your desktop.
Log out/in and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.
