I found an ipad in the middle of the road but I cannot activate my own Apple ID, how can I make it my on?

I tried to contact the owner but I have not heard back for over a week. I want to activate this Ipad with my own Apple ID. Help!

If you lost yours in the middle of the road what would you want to happen? For the finder to try and make it their own or for them to try to get it back to you?
THe activation lock cannot be broken so the device is as good as dead to you. You'll never be able to make it your own.

You can each have your own ID for your own iTunes accounts, but in order for a device to stream via AirPlay to the same Apple TV, everything must use the same homesharing ID. This is not the same as your iTunes account ID (although it can be for one of the devices)

For gmail you could try unlocking your account here: https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha. Don't know about hotmail.

Has anyone found a solution to error 2146893032? I am obviously connected to the internet but I cannot activate home sharing from my computer. Not my firewall..

If you have emmptied the iPhoto trash then you're going to need a file recovery application like File Salvage

Try a different USB port.

That's what I'm confused about. I did exactly what you said. I copied the entire music folder from the old computer and put it in the music folder on the new computer. I've tried that two or three times now. And, I've checked, and all of the files are there (that's what I meant by 'clicking on Itunes Media'--when I click on the iTunes media folder in music/itunes in Finder, all of the files are there). But, when I open iTunes, nothing shows up--no movies, no music, no tv shows. It seems like it should be so simple, but it won't work for me.
