Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.

If you haven't got a backup copy and if it's still in the store then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download (there is no guarantee that they will) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ...

  • My iPhone 4S needs ages to download a song from iTunes Match... i have a fast wirelesslan connection!

My iPhone 4S needs ages to download a song from iTunes Match... i have a fast wirelesslan connection!
may the problem is that my pc still upload songs to iCloud?

The problem you describe sounds like a bad network speed. Did you say you're uploading stuff to iTunes Match at the same time you attempt a download? Cause that might be the cause.

  • How to get rid of past songs from itunes match?

I recently had iTunes match, used it, wasn't satisfied. So I turned it off my phone... but the songs that I had once downloaded, are still there (kind of) you can't play them, but they show up like this: they show up like the "De La Soul" songs do. it also seems that since this, I've had sort of a tough time putting songs onto my iPhone.
    any help? thanks

These "ghost tracks" as I call them are a presistent, irritating bug that was supposed to be fixed in iOS 5.1. So if you haven't upgraded yet, do so and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then...
Connect your iPhone via USB and unselect "sync music" and sync. This will remove all the music on your iPhone. You may need to do it a couple of times, or more. Then see if the "ghost tracks" are gone.
If not, then try selecting the "manually manage music" option on the Summary pane and manually deleting the tracks, syncing again, and unselecting the "manually manage" option, then sync again.
If this does not work then you'll need to do a full OS restore, then restor from backup.

  • I have just subscibed to itunes match, but seems to have only moved songs that I have purchased from itunes. Those songs have a cloud next to them and some have a cloud with an exclamation mark inserted, when u click on it to play it it now says can't fin

I have just subscribed to icoud match but am having difficulties. It says it has moved all my songs to the cloud but the cloud symbol has seemed to only appear by the songs purchased from the itunes store only, (this is on the desktop where I originally setup my itunes account) and some of the cloud symbols have an exclamation mark in them, so if I attempt to play them now, it says it can't find it!!!. Also, the main purpose of this exercise was to create space on my iphone and ipad............so once I have succesfully uploaded all my songs to the cloud, do I then delete all my songs off my devices to ceate that space or does that happen automatically?

Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match.  Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.

  • Says I am synched to a different iTunes acct but I only have same one for over a year?

I am trying to backup music from my phone to my iTunes account but it says my iPhone is currently synched to another iTunes account. I got this phone brand new in end of February and only have one apple iTunes account. Have always used same computer. I have over 600 songs on phone and only 8 songs show up in my music library. How do I identify what account my phone is currently synched to cuz when I sign in, it shows my correct id? It isn't making an sense!

I'll echo what roaminggnome said. Since you wiped your machine, this is a new installation of iTunes and a new library. I'm assuming based on what you're saying that when you "completely restored" your computer, all you did was format the drive, reinstall Windows and all your applications. You did not actually "restore" anything, like your iTunes library. If you had, the music and other media would be in iTunes already and all you would have to do would be re-sync it to the phone (still a new library, but at least it would all be there).
Hopefully, you did backup your data, including iTunes BEFORE you wiped out the machine. Not doing so is like putting all your cash in a shoebox, dumping lighter fluid on it, tossing in a match, then going and getting another shoebox and complaining because your money isn't in it.
There are some 3rd party utilities that may be able to help extract the media from your phone. None are sanctioned by Apple. Google is your friend.

  • HT4913 Added new computer to iTunes Match, but none of my iCloud music shows up.  What did I miss?

I added my work laptop to iTunes Match, expecting to have access to my music library in iCloud.  How do I get my iCloud library to show up?

Copy it from the other computer or from your backup copy of your other computer.

  • Have just got ipad mini, it wants itunes 7 but i only have Itunes 6 have tried downloading but its still version 6?

i have just recieved my ipad mini. it wont sync with the computer as me Itunes is only version 6 the Ipad says it needs version 7. have done an update and downloaded the Itunes again but its still 6. How can i make my pad work with my compter - (christmas pressie for the kids - need it up and running before wrapping it up!!) Thanks K.

You need a much later version than iTunes 7 so I'm not sure what you are talking about. If the iPad is running iOS 6 I'm quite sure that you need iTunes 10.7 - unless that is what you mean.
Here are the iPad technical specifications. You must meet theses requirements in order to use an iPad with iTunes on a computer.
Perhaps your computer doesn't meet the requirements for iTunes 10.7. Click on the link below to download the latest iTunes.
Apple ID (required for some features)
    Internet access6
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
    Download iTunes at www.itunes.com/download

iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
do not confuse moving your whole folder and library with moving just media files as in
iTunes for Mac: Moving your iTunes Media folder - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1449
Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Start iTunes with the option key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

  • Getting a 4010 error from iTunes Match on Mac and not working on iPhone either.

Anyone else having this problem? It started about 30 minutes ago (8:45 PM Central Time, USA).
    Dave

    Hi,
Create a new blank library. Sign into iTunes then match. This will show all music that is in the cloud - you can stream your music from this library.
When you need to update your library, open up original library with ext hd attached.

  • So, our old computer broke the other day and i cant figure out how to get all of my music from itunes to the desktop we have now, do u no how to??

how do i get my itunes account onto my new computer

    - Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here;
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
    - After you get everything on the computer, make a backup of he iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup.
If in the USA and other places where iCloud is released, you can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Download error from itunes match

All my music was uploaded or matched successfully. Today when I try to download to my ipad or iphone I get a download error. A notification pops up saying unable to download. you do not have permission to access file.
Yesterday this worked fin on my ipad from home. What is the deal?

OK, all my fault. Turns out it was a firewall my office uses that stops streaming!
    All sorted.

  • I subscribe to iTunes match but am only getting it on my computers not on my iPhone 4 and iPad air.  What am I doing wrong?

I anyone else having this problem?  I have the correct apple id on all my apple products

On the iOS devices, go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and sign out of the Apple ID. Restart the devices and sign in. You ought to be able to enable iTM on the device now.
