Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

Is the AppleID listed in Settings --> Store and Settings --> iCloud the same?
If it is a totally different ID and not a slight variation of yours, I would definitely take it back to the store. You may have bought a returned item that had been setup previously.

Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?

Has this iPod ever worked on this PC or is this the first time you have time you have tried connecting it?
Have you carefully worked through each and every single suggestion in this Apple support document?

HT201401 Whenever I download an app, "unknown error." appears and will not let me continue. It also redirects me to change my password even though I'm entering it correctly. What is wrong with it?

To whom does the email address belong to? Are you sure it wasn't an email address used in the past or perhaps one that had belonged to a friend of hers?
Either way, if the music on her iPod was purchased under an account not belonging to her or you, there is much you can do. Sorry.

OK, I have fixed it here. Here's what I did:
quit iTunes
trashed ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist
started iTunes, and authorised my account
Worked straight away after that !

Usps click n ship when I try to sign in it loops back to sign in and will not let me send a package. New problem with USPS after they updated. I'm on Mac using 10.6.8

When I try to log on to click n ship it keeps looping back to sign in. It will not let me send package. Started with usps updated of site.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You do not need to start adding manual information into your iCloud account settings. If you feel the settings are incorrect for any reason, you should delete your account and add it back and let it set itself up.

Installed 5.0 on my Windows PC and it will not access websites. I reconfigured the firewall and it did not help. I can go to a website but it will not allow me to login. How can I fix this?

I updated to 5.0, added webmail adblocker and adblocker, and it would not work at all. I uninstalled, and reinstalled without the addons and it still did not work. Troubleshooting said to remove from firewall settings and re-add, which I did, but Norton Security Suite will only do "allow" and not "Auto". when i upgraded my iphone to the new update My iphone 5 screen went completely black and has been like it for 2 days. I have tried holding home and lock,I have tried holding lock and the volume, and I have tried holding just the volume, it still just stays black.
When i plugged it into my Mac the apple logo comes up on the iphone screen. and then on the computer it says itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes. (as in the below pictures)
when i click ok to restore it just says waiting for iphone (as in the other photo below). i left it in for 20minutes and still said the same thing.
after that i tried unplugging the iphone and it just went back to being a black screen again if anyone has any idea please please help me, thank you.
