Are there any apps in the muti-tasking bar? If the app closed unexpectedly and appeared in the muti-tasking bar, end it. Double tap the home button and then hold the app until it starts to wiggle then tap the minus at the top left at the app (if you want, end all the remaining apps) try opening them now. Quit the game and restart the iPad.
To quit the game - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Hating the temperature feature. I believe I left my phone on top of my car on a 30' degree day. It got taken or is lost somewhere and shut itself down like its suppose to. But now the "find my iPhone" app is useless!!How do I get my phone turned back on?

I need to find out a way to turn my phone on. Is there anyway the apple or my service provider can help me with this? What is the point of the app if it only works when the phone is on? Then it is only usefull within those first couple of days. Please help.

HT4461 Is anyone else having difficulties with app updates. The icon on the screen shows that several updates are ready, but nothing shows up on the screen.

The icon on the screen shows I have several that are ready to update, but when I go to that tab in iTunes, the screen is blank.

If you go to the App Store and go to the purchased tab you can go through all of your apps. They will either show open or update. You would have to search through all of them but you can at least still update your apps.

Try a full restore. If the screen is still unresponsive after the reset then its a harsware problem.

hahaha what you're doing is taking a photo of your device screen..That's not actually a problem, That's Normal..
here's what you should do.
Try pressing the restart/off button only, wait for seconds until the "Slide to Power Off" appears. Do no press the home button. After you turned off your device, try pressing once the Power button again to turn your device On.

I tried resetting without the power adapter and with the power adapter and nothing happens. She has only had the Itouch for 2 weeks.

I did try that numerous times and nothing happened. However, I did eventually get it to work. After trying to reset it numerous times and the screen still just staying frozen I logged into the Home Share portion on the Home computer and deleted the Bubble Birds game. Eventually the Itouch died and I was finally able to reset it by plugging it in and holding down the buttons. I doubt the deletion of the game helped, but since it seemed to be the cause, I went ahead and deleted it. Thank you for your reply.

So your Mac is running v10.7.3 or later? Just making sure. Your profile indicates the iOS 5.1.1 ...
If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk since the app is 15.51GB.
Click your Apple menu icon. From the drop down menu click About This Mac then select Storage from the menu.
Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos.
