You do not say where you live, but if in the US, the prices in the US MAS do not reflect any sales tax that Apple has to collect in many states. So if you live in a US where Apple has to collect sales tax USD$30 will not cover it.

So I got a new hard drive for my early 2009 version Mac Book Pro and some new memory to speed the little guy up. I was trying to copy the Mac and BOOTCAMP partitions onto the new drive, and I am close, but not home free.
Here's what I have done so far:
I got an external cage thing for the new/old HD.
I put the new HD in the cage and cloned the mac and BOOTCAMP partitions to the new disk while booted from a DVD.
I put the new drive in the machine and the old one in the cage.
I booted the machine and it loaded the mac side fine.
When I tried to use the 'option' key to, select the system I wanted to boot into on the reboot, it didn't show me the windows (bootcamp) option.
That's where I am at. When I go into disk utility it shows my BOOTCAMP partition in the list of logical disks under my disk, but it is grayed out. I can mount it, but when I restart, I can't select it. I feel like I am so, so close. What do I need to do?
(BTW, the old drive, the dude I am trying to clone, still exists in its entirety in the cage; I could put it back in and go from there if I had to.)

Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo appears.
5. Wait for installer to finish loading. -
I tried resetting my networks and turning my phone on and off with the wifi turned on, but neither of it worked. I don't know what to do and I really need wifi on my phone for tomorrow.
Did Apple install the new screen? Or an Authorized Apple Service Provider? If so, you should return to the location that replaced your screen to see if they didn't hook something up properly.
If it wasn't an Authorized Apple Service Provider, or an Apple Retail store, You should take it back to them and discuss it with them. In this case, Apple will likely not offer any replacement service as it was opened by an unauthorized third party. -
My iphone 5 power button broke so now I've got a replacement device. Ive restored all of my old data and everything worked besides my music. Any ideas how i get this back on my new device?
After the restore completed, you need to sync music back. Music is not part of the backup. Just connect the phone back to the computer and sync,.

I just got a new system for my Mac OS and the internet sharing is not working.
The "Sharing" in the System Preferences looks way different and has screen charing, scanner sharing, remote login, remote management, remote apple events, and bluetooth sharing with checks near it. I once connected to my laptop, but it said something like an IP address needed to be verified. I then put in an address and they gave me one but it's still not working. Please help! How do I connect the internet?
Your text is not clear: you wish to connect to the internet, and you cannot do that? or you want to share your internet connection, to be used by other computers, and you do not know how to do this?
The title of your thread indicates the latter (this is the meaning of share), but your text rather indicates the former situation.
In order to share net, you must first mac connected to the net up and running, but I understand you did not get to that point, right?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

The TC is really a complex thing to use, when you don't do it as Apple designed it.. and in fact on your iMac an external drive will be cheaper, faster and more reliable than a TC. But I guess you already have it so may as well use it. -

I had the same trouble today, I kept entering the sky password but would not accept, my iMac and iPod work ok but just could not get my iPod to work. But I found the fault, the password is case sensitive and mine on sky is in caps, the up arrows on the keypad put the caps on,but after each letter you must put the caps back or it wil revert to lower case, I hope this may help you -
