I got the iPhone 5s this morning and I kept my number and as soon as it charged I got all my messages, but when I connected it to my iCloud and backed it up, when it was finished all the messages I received were gone. How do I get them back?

It sounds like you may have either set the iPhone up as a new iPhone or restored from a backup that didn’t have your messages on it. If you do have either an iCloud or iTunes backup that you believe has your messages saved, you can restore from that backup to recover your information. definitly don't throw your iPod away.
Which iPod touch do you have? And, have you tried shutting it off completely and then turning it back on? Press and hold the button on the top until it powers off, wait about a minute and then press and hold the button until it comes back on.
Let us know what it's like after you do that.

Only way to get it back is to restore your phone from a backup, if those pics were included in that backup.
But most likely those pics are gone.
What you should've done was import http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 the pics to your computer and after you restored from your old backup, you could sync those new pics to your phone via itunes.

The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
You need to copy everything from your old computer to your new one.

like roaminggnome said you should see your contacts again once you sync with iTunes. if you used iCloud before, make sure contact sync is turned on and your contacts should be back.

Well, when you restore your ipad, there is really no way to get the information back. The reason you restore it i to get all of the information off of it. Why did you restore it if you wanted to keep the info?
Aa far as I know, there is no way to un-restore any device. But, you can put the info back onto the device if it was on your computer, etc.

Are your contacts still on your computer? If yes, set one contact up on the phone and sync it, you'll get the option to merge data.
If there are no more contacts on the computer, see if your latest backup still has the info, if you did not sync after you lose the info, they are still part of the backup.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
For other items you need to get them from whee yuo got them the first time.
The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced mediai like apps and music. If those ore not in the iTunes library on the computer on which you performed the update they are lost.

Aren't those the default games that come with the iPod Classic? If so, they won't be in your iTunes library, but only on your iPod Classic itself as they are built in the iPod's software.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.

Try going to file-devices-restore from backup, if you dont have a backup then you may redownload past purchases (movies, music, apps, etc) from their respective stores by visiting "purchased" section.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. You don't. When you log out of iMessage, you quit all active chats and the thread goes away. Same as if you close a chat or quit iChat on your computer.
