I had mozilla on my pc and it stopped working. I deleted and reloaded it. It won't open. Help!!!
Have had this computer since June. Mozilla was downloaded and worked fine till about a month or so ago. It stopped working. I deleted the download and reloaded it three times. The download took but when I would click on the icon nothing would happen. I think I have windows 8. Is this the problem? Thanks for you help!

I was using my wifi last night when I got an error message stating my ip address had been taken over. Then safari stopped working and i can no longer access the internet. I looked at my ip address and it states 000.000.000....can someone please help?
Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

I don't know what version you have, but you cannot install a Windows edition on a Mac, you need the Mac edition.
If you have Photoshop CS6, you can swap it for a Mac version, otherwise you would have to purchase a full Mac version ($700) or enroll in the $10 per month Photography program from Adobe to use Photoshop CC.

I have a Mid 2011 Macbook Air.
Upgraded to Yosemite last week.
Three days ago I was using my Macbook Air for the first time since upgrading to Yosemite. I had been using my Macbook Air for approximately 30 minutes, I was using safari and the keyboard and trackpad stopped working (would not respond). The only button that worked was the power button.
I rebooted and they were still not working. I plugged in a USB mouse and external USB keyboard, only one USB port would work (the Left USB port if looking at the screen) so I had to swap between keyboard and mouse.
After logging in there is a bluetooth icon at the top of the screen with a sawtooth line through it. Bluetooth is unavailable and the bluetooth icon is missing from the system preferences menu.
If I run a hardware test by holding D (on USB keyboard) at startup it says that no problems are found and at the conclusion of the test the keyboard and trackpad start working again. When I log on the bluetooth is working again.
I shut down the Macbook Air and when I started it again the keyboard and trackpad and right side USB ports were all not working again. I logged in using the USB keyboard and mouse and the bluetooth not available sawtooth icon had returned.
I ran the hardware test again and at the conclusion of the test the trackpad and keyboard started working again.
I have tried deleting com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and com.apple.Bluetooth.plist.lockfile from /Library/Preferences/ and tried resetting SMC and Power Functions but this did not fix the issue. The only thing that seems to work is running a hardware test - obviously I don't want to do this every time I use the computer.
I do not believe any hardware is faulty/damaged - I think it has something to do with bluetooth/Yosemite.
I do not have the Macbook with me at the moment, if you have suggestions that I can try or additional checks/info you require please let me know and I can get back to you.

I have exactly the same problem, and I can't find any solution.
I can't even track down the root of the problem: the Bluetooth/Wifi module? The trackpad? The keyboard/top case? The logicboard?
I've tried all the usual: SMC/PRAM reset, clean install, kext cache clearing.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated! -
X1 Carbon touchpad and trackpad stops working.
Received my new X1 Carbon 2014 this week. After only two minutes of use, the trackpad and toucphpad stopped working.
I hade to use an external mouse, and even after all driver updates it still didn`t work.
If I restart the machine, sometimes the track-touchpad will work, but suddenly it freezes up again (after only minutes of use), and I will have to restart to fix the problem. Have used it for 5 hrs now, and how probably restarted about 30-40 times.
Anyone know what is causing this problem and/or how I can fix it?

Bought my X1 carbon 20A7 last month.
The touchpad and trackpoint stop working after a while. Sometimes after minutes of use, sometimes after half an hour. When I close the lid, to let it go to sleep, and wake it up again they both work again. Another interesting (might be a coincedance) issue is that when I wake the laptop up after this has ocurred, the fingerprint reader does not work to log back on.
I have done a fresh install of windows 8.1 and updated all windows and Lenovo drivers.
I hope this gets solved quickly. It's kind of ridiculous for such a premium laptop.

Populate a PDF with VBA and FDF, stopped working.
I work with a non-profit children's camp where I need to be able to populate a PDF form from a MS Access database. The problem is that I do not have much server access, so I've had to find sneaky ways to do this. I can not use anything I have to install. I have been using FDF and VBA because it is what I know. Last year it stopped working in Chrome. This year it won't work in Firefox or IE either. I have to assume some change in security. It seems the problem is that PDF no longer open in my browser but download to the temp folder and open with Acrobat. This of course keeps my form from contacting the server to populate the form. I had been using a "update data" button to populate the form that opens in browser. Does anyone know of a way to do what I am trying to do without purchasing expensive software. I need to rely 100% on the user having reader.

Bookmark bar and menu stop working after awhile on Firefox 12
I have upgraded to Firefox 12. Everything works fine when I start up Firefox, but after some amount of use (and I can't always reproduce this) eventually when I click on bookmarks in my Bookmark Bar or from the Bookmark menu, nothing happens. Firefox doesn't load the bookmark. If I open the "Show All Bookmarks" window and click on bookmarks there, they load fine and then the menu and bookmark bar suddenly start working again. If I close the "Show All Bookmarks" window the Bookmark Bar and menu stop working again.

I haven't heard of this particular issue, but you might want to try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. Let is sit for a while as you described above and if you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

Tiles and Charms stop working. When tiles stopped functioning (clicking on tile on desktop causes the desktop tile itself to scroll) and I could still access the search charm, I ran sfc/scannow as admin. It showed a couple of corrupt files it could not fix, but on reboot, the tiles and charms functioned again. Have been through this about four times at this point.
Seems to have started with the last Windows 8.1 update, and is somehow related to the OneDrive syncing engine. I had not used OneDrive; started using it, and this mess started. I disabled all pc and laptop OneDrive settings and stopped using it. However, the "OneDrive sync engine" message appears for no apparent reason, and then the tiles and charms stop working. If I have Outlook and Foxfire apps open, they still work, and their open windows still appear in the bottom toolbar. All the other app shortcut links that normally pinned there disappear.
When I try to shut the PC down, if I can do so via the power charm, I get a message that it can't shut down because the "Portrait Display Inc. app is preventing shut down." There is no such program shown in the installed program list in Control Panel. I understand from Googling it that it's somehow embedded in HP PC's.
This is an HP Envy Phoenix 810, with an HP monitor (non-touch), both purchased Dec., 2013. Running Windows 8.1, on automatic updates; using McAffee All-Access AV, up to date. Standard Office apps. No goofy software.
I see that many other people have had this problem, have used the sfc/scannow approach, with little lasting effect.

If you have Windows System Restore setup, I suggest going back to a Restore point before you began having the problem. This will tell you if the update is the problem.

Trackpad and Trackpoint stop working all the time

I'm loving my thinkpad tablet! Only issue I have really had so far is that the trackpad and trackpoint stop working every once in a while... (as in once a month they will suddenly stop working). Then I install a driver, they start working again, only for the same problem to turn up after some more time has gone by. Last time this happened, installing the driver didn't help, nor did doing windows restore, which was very worrisome...
I've had this laptop for less than a year so it is still under warranty, but I was wondering if there is a quick fix?

Slightly off-topic, your Internet Explorer seems to be quite a bit out of date (IE 6, where current version is IE 8), so I would strongly recommend that you try to run Windows Update to get your system updated. If this is a company system (like a Terminal Server thin client machine), this may not be possible, and your system administrator will most likely have to help you. -

My audio and video stops working. It starts working again when I reboot. I'll leave the computer for a while, maybe overnight, and when I return the audio and the video on the iMac will not function. When I click Play on iTunes or You Tube nothing happens.

It gave me some of the links I had been desperately looking for. I have an intel on board GPU and the GTX 675 MX. Because of MSI's bios, there's not a lot I can do in there to ensure that the computer is using the GTX over the Intel. I found some settings which give preferences for which card to use for which programs. PPro had the Nvidia already selected, but I went so far as to completely remove the Intel from all of the settings. Still no change. Today I went as far as to actually disable the intel GPU in the device settings. I rebooted and I wasn't getting anything in PPro. I switched her to software acceleration and it asked me if I wanted to delete the previews. I said yes and now she can see again. Of course I have NO clue yet if this is a permanent change or not. I do want the Hardware Acceleration, so leaving it in Software Mode is not a long term solution. It gets her working tonight, so on that note I'm happy.
Time will tell if this helps or hinders, but it's some sort of movement. -
I have just had a replacement iPad as the camera stopped working.
Now the new iPad won't receive FaceTime calls at my aol.com email.
If I try to add it as a FaceTime address it just says email address already in use.
I guess it is still linked to the old iPad in some way
