Instead of prompting me for a password it comes back and says unable to join the network ("name") and then the option is Dismiss. Anyone else have that problem? I've gone thru all my settings and can't seem to find a way to log into my network. Don't get the option to put in my password. It just give me the name of my network and option of dismiss instead of password.

1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

It's an old installation, 2.1.4. I'm running OS 10.9
That is the problem. Aperture 2 is not fully compatible with MacOS X 10.9; the crop-tool, the Loupe, some brushes no longer work reliably in the newer MacOS X version. And I really doubt, that there will be bug-fixes for Aperture 2 on Mavericks. These incompatibilities started with MacOS X Lion, and have gotten worse with each new operating system release.
To run Aperture with Mavericks you will need to update to Aperture 3.5. for full compatibility.
Do you also have older plug-ins installed, that might be incompatible with Mavericks? Check with the developer's website, if there are updates for any plug-ins.

Hold c and reboot off the 10.6 disk, run the installer.
If the machine your upgrading is the 2006, I'd highly advise you stay on 10.6.8
It's a 5 year old machine, you're in the last life stages of that machine and 10.7 will push it right over the edge.
10.6 is a GOOD upgrade for that machine, faster than 10.7 or 10.5.
And 10.6 will run your 10.5 software, 10.7 will not.
Get iCloud with a new 10.8 machine coming out after this summer, seriously.
Your machine is too old to bother with Lion.
Or else you can learn yourself and use this link to get back to Snow, good luck finding your 10.5 programs.

Resolving issues with Touch ID
1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iOS.
2. Ensure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry.*
Note: Cover the Home button completely. Don't tap too quickly, don't press down hard, and don't move your finger while Touch ID is scanning. Make sure that your finger touches the metal ring around the Home button.
3. If you are using a protective case or screen protector, it must leave the Home button and the surrounding ring completely unobscured. If it doesn't, remove the case or screen protector and try again.
4. Tap Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and verify that:
- iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store is enabled.
- One or more fingerprints have been enrolled.
5. If one finger isn't working, tap Edit in Settings > Touch ID & Passcode to delete and then reenroll the finger.
6. If that finger still isn't working, try enrolling a different finger.

It would appear from my research that a lot of people are having money stolen from them when they purchase items from ITunes stores has anyone else experienced this problem and if so what if anything is Apple doing about it. I got ripped off for $70.00 over the weekend.

I recently upgraded to iPhoto 9.5 and find that the "burn" to CD function is found nowhere. Anyone else have this problem?

I recetly upgraded to iPhoto 9.5 and find that the "burn" function is not available. Has anyone else run into this issue and if so, what did you find? I know that one can burn from the "FInder" but I still want to burn in the iPhoto format.

It's been removed as Apple is no longer adding optical drives to it's computers. So to burn photos (not iPhoto compatible mini libraries) to a disk you need to export them to a folder on the Desktop via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export and burn that folder to disk via the Finder.
iPhoto 9.5 will not natively read disks created by previous versions.

UPDATE: Just went thru the process and the iPhoto Library Upgrader converted the library into a working library that iPhoto could open. However, if you want to import any of those photos into your working library you'll have to use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to copy the Events or album you want from the converted library into your working library. An extra 2 steps that we didn't have to do previously.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Are you using a home network?
Try the following :
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

I'm experiencing the same issue too. I can't see to use the brush in my clipping mask the same way. It works for a moment, then several minutes in to production it ends up crashing.
I hope this issue is resolved soon. It's definitely frustrating and delaying my production time.

Also try deleting the printer from your printer Q system preferences, then reinstalling it (highlight the printer click the minus symbol, then click the plus symbol and add it again. Reboot, and try.
