GarageBand, iMovie and iPhoto aren't included with OS X, so it's normal that you haven't got them after reinstalling Mac OS X.
If your iMac didn't come with DVDs, open the App Store, go to Purchases and download iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand free of charge.
If your iMac came with DVDs or you didn't purchase the iLife apps at the Mac App Store, insert the second Mac OS X disc or Applications disc and install the iLife apps. Then, open  > Software Update, and install the most recent version.
Respecting to third-party applications, you have to reinstall them manually

Does it appear in Device Manager, it it does right click it and Scan for Hardware changes or update Driver. Same deal if you see Unknown Device.

Nevermind I ended up having to reset my restrictions and everything was restored after I reenabled the restrictions. There are also other ways to retrieve but I did NOT jailbreak my Ipod.

Hi i'm Michele writing from Italy new mac user from a month.
After web searching cannot find if i can use cloak 1.1 software on snow leopard 10.6 without any issue. I ask cause i have to deal with hidden files on my lacie nas and i'd like to do in simpler mode than use terminal. If not usable can someone suggest some other application to do the same?

From what I can determine it does, I don't see why it wouldn't be compatible. I tried finding any reference to the app on Tao Effect website, but just some forum comments. The program is universal binary, and the methods to hide/unhide that it uses have not changed. However, the latest update info I could find is that it was updated for 10.4.
So after wasting about 5 minutes trying to determine if it would work, I just downloaded it and it works fine on SL.

As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes accouns as your originally used to buy/download them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

Thank you for clarify I'm supposed to read the ENTIRE article. I thought I was just supposed to read the title and magically everything will fix itself. Why will it not let you add them? What specifically are you trying to do, please provide steps.
Frankly, the only thing that should need to be done it restore the iTunes folder from the backup onto the computer. There is no reason to add or import anything.

Put it in DFU mode so that iTunes recognizes it in Recovery mode. Restore.

I don't use iTunes's "fetch artwork", so I'm not 100% sure, but unless you are signed in to your iTunes account, artwork is not automatic. Even then, iTunes doesn't always find it.
You can copy-and-paste artwork from the inernet, either Amazon or Google. I use 300x300 pixel images.
For the future, if you have iTunes questions, you might be better off posting them in the iTunes for Mac forum, this is iTunes for Windows. In this situation, it doesn't make any difference, but next time maybe it will.

Are you now using a different username from the one you used prior to migrating? If so that is the reason for the problem. You might, then, give this a try:
To fix Home folder permissions
Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder. At the command line prompt enter or paste the following command line:
sudo chown -R `id -un`:`id -gn` ~
Press RETURN. You will be prompted to enter your admin password which will not be echoed.

Hello @chavanjayesh2001... I wanted to give you some tips for when you can't update the software of your phone:
-Make sure that the Internet connection is good. If the update process is interrupted it might be due to loss of Internet connection.
-Try using another USB cable and usb port in your computer.
-Try using another PC.
-Temporary disable any firewalls and or antivirus software.
-Start your PC in “Safe mode with networking” mode. This is done by pressing F8 during PC boot. When Windows is started in safe mode, try taking the update again.
