I hate to rehash it again.

I just moved to a Mac from Windows XP hoooray !!!!!
I also using LR 1.3 and I am going to watch the LR Video tutorials by Michael Tapes. However, I need some help before I get started.
I tend to use E HD to file my image files. I only use my Int. HD to install all the Apps. I have a large amount of image files (800 GB). So far my workflow consist of assigning a folder using shooting date/subject matter.
I would like to install the Library one of my E HD, and will be importing images from another E HD to the Library as needed, since I don't plan to import my entire image file on one shot.
So I need some suggestion for the workflow using LR. This is what I would like to accomplish:
1- view the previews/thumbnails of all images that have been imported to LR without turning the E HD on. Or do I need to turn them on?
2- I would like to import images to LR using the same format or system that I am currently using, ie. folders filed by shooting date/subject.
3- Automatic back up (LR) would that include any changes made on any images or just the master file
4- I am still confused about importing my RAW images as DNG or just import them on their Native format.
I am open for suggestion obviously thanks
2-

Mike. the is a great set of free video tutorials on data manageing by Julianna Kost at software-cinema.http://www.software-cinema.com/ Just click on the free workshops on the upper left corner and then register and navigate to her tutorials. They are the best I have seen better than rambling Michael Tapes.
1)If I read your question right ,yes ,you have to have the External HD where your files are stored turned on for LR to read them.
2)Juianne goes through all the options of how you can name your files and LR basically lets you do it anyway you want.
3) If I understand LR correctly LR doesn't back up anything related to the actualy RAW data. It just backs up the data of the settings(or changes you have made).
4) DNG is Adobes open format RAW system, meaning any software developer can go to Adobe
and get any information they need to write their software to the Digital Negative Format. Nikon and Canon each have their own formats. Adobe in offering DNG is betting that 50 years from now a open format system is going to be more universal than say Nikons secret format. So the DNG format is something you should convert to(and you don't have to do it at import you can do it anytime) if you are concerned about what is going to be available to open files 50 years from now. The other advantage is that the DNG format keeps all the RAW data and the metadata together in one file. Non DNG files have separate files for the RAW data and the metadata.

  • I hate to bug everyone again but... Exporting quicktime

Hey folks, I hate to ask more questions, but this place has
been very reliable as of yet.
My question is this. I have an HD 16x9 project, and I want
to export it to quicktime so that people can watch it on the
internet. I'd assume I do this through compressor, but each
time I do, it loses it's 16x9 and becomes stretched and ugly.
I've done this automatically through iMovie, but can't seem
to figure out the settings with compressor and render quicktime
movie. My final result I would like to have look like this:
    http://www.wackeychan.com/glimpse/watch3.htm
that was exported with iMovie, and I'm trying to get similar
dimensions. Any help would be fantastic.

A search here will help, this comes up often.
    Have a look here.

  • How do i turn off the STUPID gestures? every time i quickly scroll a large page i get switched to previous sites i've been at, very, very annoying! i hate gestures!

i'm using firefox 4.0 on an amd cpu running suse linux 11.4. i've completely turned off the gestures in suse (one of the first things i do, i can move a mouse very quickly and i like it to be a mouse!), i can't find a plugin or setting to turn these damn things off. the main problem is when i use the scroll wheel to rapidly move up or down a long web page and wind up on another page suddenly, very, very annoying! i really, really HATE gestures! then again i know how to use buttons etc. and i do mouse very quickly and creatively ( i also turn off several other "conveniances" like automatic window resizing, i know how to manage windows.....) thanks, i really, really hate these "features" being on by default, people with certain disabilites are probably also highly annoyed by the lack of choice in some procucts.
you really, really need to provide easy access to more settings, as evidenced by the number of extensions aimed at providing control to users. thanks

You can set all the mousewheel.with*.action prefs to 0 to perform a scroll.
    mousewheel.withnokey.action
    mousewheel.withaltkey.action
    mousewheel.withcontrolkey.action
    mousewheel.withmetakey.action
    mousewheel.withshiftkey.action
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
If necessary then you can also set all the browser.gesture prefs to empty String values.

  • No audio call on my 900... can some one help?

I am having issues with my 900, I have no audio when making calls either outgoing or incoming...no speaker phone either. When I use Tango Video calls the audio works fine.  Does anybody else have this problem and if so how did you solve it.  I have already reset the phone once but I would hate to do so again....also there is got to be a way to back up the whole phone...not just the pics but everything...apps and such.
    Thanks in advance.
    LouisR

Hi folks - my Lumia 900 Windows Phone was purchased in Nov 2012, no problems with it until recently when the audio on the earpiece stopped working.  If I switch to Speaker, I can hear everything loud & clear, but that is not convenient most of the time. Vols on 10, no bluetooth on.
Have tried turning the phone off & back on (soft reboot) which initially seemed to re-set the earpiece speaker, but now makes no difference - the earpiece audio is intermittently dead.  Frustrating when you ring someone & get silence, yet a few minutes before audio was OK.  Hard reset is last ditch - I dont think it will help this intermittent problem
Sounds like this might be a fairly common fault with the Lumia 900.  Just bought an 820 for my wife so I hope the problem is not contagious.  Time to back up the Contacts list and make sure the Zune synch is up to date i think.  At least my supplier's support is on the ball regarding a warranty claim - looks like that is what the outcome will be.

  • Can you restore from an older iCloud back up (July 3rd), and if it doesn't work RE restore from a new iCloud (July 14th)?

I upgraded my 4S to a 5 on July 3. I had updated my back up to iCloud that morning (but it had also updated the night before). It did NOT restore from back up ANY games (I play one all the time and had a year and a half's worth of work in it!!!) But, I assumed it didn't do that, because it DID pull my contacts, though it didn't pull my email or my texts or anything. On July 13th I had to swap the 5 out for a new 5 because the first one was glitching. When I restored from back up this time (the date on it was July 12th) it pulled EVERYTHING!! I would like to try to reload the one from the 3rd to see if it will work now, but I hate to loose everything again! Can I load the 3rd's back up and if it doesn't work, RE load the back up from now? And even if I could do that, HOW do I do it?

This is my boilerplate respone for the "waiting apps" problem. Give these suggestions a try in order.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
    7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

  • Argh...Internet at a crawl...but download speeds are fine?

I recently just switched back over to Arch...I went back to Ubuntu after I couldn't get my wireless card working. Although I missed living on the bleeding edge so I'm back and I would like to stay here.
The title pretty much describes it. I can download packages with pacman at 75kb+ which is pretty average for my internet, usually it goes higher.
Although the moment I try and open Firefox, or Opera, or Epiphany it takes way longer then it should to load any webpage. Like I said I still can't get my wireless card to work with Arch, but I'm using a cable and have connected my computer directly to the router. At the moment I have it setup for a DHCP straight off the beginners guide.
    HOSTNAME="arch"
    #eth0="eth0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
    eth0="dhcp"
    INTERFACES=(eth0)
    gateway="default gw 192.168.0.1"
    ROUTES=(!gateway)
I read somewhere that this might be caused from using DHCP? I'm not at my computer at the moment, but when I get to it later tonight I'll try and set it up for a static ip and see if that changes anything..so if someone could please post a simple static ip setup so I don't mess it up I'd appreciate it.
I hate to mention Ubuntu again but is it possible that I could use the NetworkManager that Ubuntu uses? I did
    sudo pacman -S networkmanager
Although I'm not exactly sure on how to start it, let alone get Arch setup to use it..
    Thanks!

I installed bind and looked your config files, and in the arch wiki....looks way to complicated...
Hopefully disabling ipv6 and adding host name will work...although I don't exactly know where the "hosts file" is...:/
Ok found the hosts file... /etc/hosts
Now what exactly am I supposed to add to it..? I figure 192.168.0.1 for the IP address but what about
    <hostname.domain.org> <hostname>
I suppose for the hostname I would put arch? Since I have that in my rc.conf file..
    Help...
Hmm...I plugged in the cord in a different slot on the router and I'm using firefox3 now..and everything seems to be normal..I dunno if it'll hold-up though..

  • I am so ripped off by BT

I am not just moaning because I have nothing better to do with my time. I feel like I've been robbed by an organisation that hide behind their size and one-off appologies for the **bleep** i have experienced with them.
the only reason why i'm with BT is because I'm in a bt area and i knew if i go with Sky or virgin i'd still be using bt's network. I just never realised i would end up with what is by far the worst "service provider" on the planet or at least out of anyone ive ever used.
Before i go on about the **bleep** bb speeds i'm experiencing let me just point out that it took me over three weeks from placing my order to actually getting my bb connected. reason - they lost my order or 'wholesale' never dealt with my order. and each time it would be a week more before the order would be dealt with again...only to learn they lost it again. not to worry though...when you phone the call centre, where the automated system tells you you are not a customer after entering the land line number bt gave you, you end up with a sub standard service tech apologising for what ever was wrong...ive had dozens of apologies from BT thus far...and no real improvement.
trust me i could go on...there is sooo much more i had to put up with before i even got to being connected and dealing with the slow broadband speed i have now.
anyway, I'm totally miffed with the fact that I am paying for the top tier braodband package in an area where i used to get atleast 1.5 meg broadband...which was via virgin but not cable...i.e. via BT.  no lies the previous property was only two streets up..literally two streets up from there and the house i bought gets no better than 500k.
I was told by the BT salesman (which was a con i'm sure) that BT would be rolling out its new fibre optic cables in my areain the new year ..this clinched the deal for me because I didnt at the time want to sign up via Sky or virgin and be tied into a contract with them if it was only going to be a few months before BT upgraded their network in my area...well midway through Feb now and it seems my connection is no better and seems to be getting worse.
I'd hate to phone them again because a cant bear having another 'cant-give-a-**bleep**-cause-you-cant-touch-me JOBSWORTH' apologise for this rubbish that is my broadband only to go through the same tests with no positive outcome.
So all I ask only this...can anyone tell me how/where to see if BT are actually going to upgrade to fibre optic in my area and when? if not, i'm reporting this saga to the regulator as a miss sell and getting as far away from BT as I can. atleast virgin gave some (not great) customer service and i'd rather deal with them instead of these rip- off merchants
All i expected when signing up was to have reasonable bb at a high price as i knew Virgin cable is far better but unfortunately not available where i live.
Saldy this seems like too much to ask

  • Photo Quality in iDVD

I work with still photos only. Want a slideshow that maintains photo image quality. iMovie coverts to video file & degrades the quality. Changed to FotoMagico. Maintains photo quality in slideshow & offers transitions, KB effect & title slides. It exports to iDVD or Roxio Toast to burn DVD. After the burn in iDVD, the images are distorted and the transition movements are very choppy. Is iDVD coverting this to video images, thereby degrading the photo quality? Is there a way to use iDVD and maintain quality? Would Toast be better? My goal is to produce a photographic quality "still photo" slideshow using transitions, KB, etc. I am selecting NTSC 4:3, best quality in both programs. Getting very frustrated trying to output the quality I can see on my display in a DVD...any suggestion?

    Hi,
I feel like I am back at school...
    1. I have the BETA version because when I tried to export or burn a DVD neither worked. They knew that was a problem & sent me the BETA fix. Now I can burn or export.
    2. My problem is whatever I do with the burn results in loss of image quality. I have been corresponding with Werner at FotoMagico who has been very helpful. He says image quality from still photos which have been authored & burned can not maintain image quality the technology just doesn't exist unless I go to a pro DVD lab and have them work with compressions per frame. He specifically said it is due to limitations with the MPEG-2 stream, which is standard in DVD playback. The little I have read on this is over my head.
    3. Right now I will forgo the idea of playback on a TV. Let's just deal with computer. When I burn to DVD as my option and it opens in iDVD it results in degraded images. I don't know what to select in iDVD and or FotoMagico to change this result or if it is even possible. I run a G5 with a 23" monitor, most current software on ALL prgrams. Picture files are digital froma Nikon D200 and a mix of negative and slides scanned in with a Nikon CoolScan 5000 and moved into iPhoto via the scanner or a transfer from Adobe. I am having the problem with all these types. What do you mean by resolution in iPhoto?
    4. I transfer from FotoMagico to iDVD by selecting 'Burn DVD' and it opens to 'iDVD'. I have left all settings on FotoMagico and iDVD at default settings and Werner said that should be okay. FYI - I have tried changing slideshow setting from display reolution to 23" monitor to NTSC. Nothing seems to change image quality.
    5. I would like at this point to be able to maintain image quality for transer in Quick time, upload to .MAC web account, etc. Help me there I am lost.
    6. Someone on this discussion also suggested burning to iDVD using the data portion only of the DVD using disk utility. I need help there. Also will that reproduce sound or only the photos. I understand that TV's and DVD players will not accept this mode and that is okay until someone figures out a way to maintain image quality for TV w/o an expensive lab.
    7. Werner said this is possible but they suggest copying the entire package (document as well as images and audio) and move it to iDVD or Toast. On the target devise install a FOtoMagico demo version & run it there. or if the target machine is not a Mac & FotoMagico can 't be nstalled there, you can export manually to a QuickTime movie by selecting 'export' frpm the File menu. Use 'HD preset or 'QuicltTime' & burn the resulting file to a DVD. My husband & I will work on this (with a tech if nec) and maybe you have some thoughts as well.
At the end of this I think I will know more about video and FPS and MPEg's than I ever intended. Oh well, a little knowledge never hurt anyone!
One last thing, what is a BETA for NTSC. I hate to bug Werner again without knowing what this is!

I have a Iphone 3gs and a Iphone 4, I want to be able to restore all my settings from the 3GS to the 4, is this possible?

I believe it is possible but I've seen people reporting odd issues when doing that. Personally I would just manually transfer over stuff than copy a 3GS backup to an iPhone 4.

  • How can i get my apps back?

I had a 4th generation ipod touch that i bought apps on through the app store, but it broke so i bought another but now i cant figure out how to get the apps back.
I tried going to the app store, then to purchased (using the same account) but in the end it fails to download.
I never thought to transfer purchases through i tunes because i never saw that option until i went looking for a way how to get my apps.
Is it possible to get my apps back? i paid a good amount of money in total and would hate to do it again.

Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links.

  • Is Your Footage Suffering from the Massive Difference in Export Quality Between FCPX

I read this article today and considering I do all my rendering through Premiere or AME it made me a little concerned. What does Adobe think of this? and has any else experienced this problem?
    Cheers,
    Moja.
I took this article from: Is Your Footage Suffering from the Massive Difference in Export Quality Between FCPX & Premiere?
A rational person might assume that the program from which you export your media wouldn't have a noticeable impact on the quality of the final image, especially if the export settings are identical in both programs. A recent test by filmmaker Noam Kroll might just teach us to think twice before making assumptions.
First, a little bit of background on Kroll's test. Having noticed that exporting from Adobe Media Encoder yielded quicker results than using the same settings and exporting from FCPX, he tended to use Media Encoder for the bulk of his exporting. When a recently exported project came out with some nasty compression artifacts, blocky rendering of certain areas, and a noticeable change in color quality, Kroll put on his detective's hat and tried exporting again from FCPX. To his, and soon to be your, surprise, the exported result from FCPX yielded significantly higher image quality with the EXACT same export and compression settings.
Don't believe it? Have a look for yourself. According to Kroll, "both FCP X and Premiere Pro were set to output a high quality H.264 file at 10,000 kbps." The image on top was exported from FCPX and the bottom was exported from Premiere Pro.
    Exported from FCPX
    Exported from Premiere Pro
In the shots above, you'll notice more blocky compression artifacts in the version exported from Premiere, especially on the lower part of the woman's face, and there's a fairly significant reddish hue that's been introduced into the midtones and shadows of the Premiere export. Here's a version of the same shot that is cropped in on the woman's face by 400%. This is where the difference between the two starts to become painfully obvious. Again, FCPX is on top, and Premiere on the bottom.
    Exported from FCPX
    Exported from Premiere Pro
Here's the conclusion that Kroll came to in his post.
After seeing this I can confidently say that I will not be compressing to H.264 using Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder any more. [sic] The image from Premiere is so much blockier, less detailed, and muddy looking, not to mention that the colors aren’t at all accurate. In fact I even did another output test later on with Premiere Pro set to 20,000 kbps and FCP X only set to 10,000 kbps and still the FCP X image was noticeably higher quality, so clearly something is up.
It's really difficult to speculate as to what's going on behind the scenes that's causing such a drastic difference in results between the two programs. However, what is clear is that you should take caution when exporting to h.264 from Premiere and Media Encoder. Regardless of the program that you're using, perform your own tests and make sure that the export process is leaving your media with a visual quality appropriate for the delivery medium.
The good news here is that Adobe is extremely receptive to feedback from their user base, and their Creative Cloud subscription model allows them to roll out updates with a much higher frequency than they could with the boxed version of the Creative Suite. If more people are experiencing these problems and reporting it to Adobe, chances are that we'll see an update with fixes sometime in the near future. With that said, I have no idea how Adobe handles the technical process of exporting, so it could very well take a complete overhaul of how the program encodes h.264 to fix the problem.

Well, I did my own little comparison with a shot from my A7s (XAVCS 50mbps) and seeing as I don't have FCP X I used FCP 7. The AME H264 looks nicer than the FCP one in this instance.

  • Migration and User Acct Short Name

It took only 4 hours via an ethernet cable (probably at optimum speed) for Migration Assistant to nicely transfer my "entire universe" over from an old PowerMac G5.
Unfortunately, I had my User Account Short Name starting with "G5" so my new blazingly fast intel iMac now has the unchangeable short name as the same "G5..." Needless to say, it gets confusing on the network.
I remember a long time ago doing the long procedure in changing the short name. Explained here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1428
And it was quite a messy, problem-prone procedure. I would hate to do it again, despite what they describe as better executions and error-free processes in the latest OS.
    Question:
What would be the best strategy to straighten things up?
Is there some halfway trick in changing the short name during the MA procedure that I missed?
Or should I first change the user name in the old G5 (OS 10.5.8), heck with any messed up permissions, then hope that MA and OS 10.6.2 will clean it up during another 4-hour transfer?
Or something else I'm missing? Any other tricks?
    TIA

FWIW, I use exactly the same user account name on all the Macs in my household. There is no confusion about which Mac's contents I'm accessing because each has a unique computer name.
This also simplifies access to my other user accounts from whatever Mac I'm in front of because each Mac recognizes me as the same user with the same access privileges to that account's contents.
Basically, the user name says who I am & the computer name says who it is.

  • Best way to set up wireless for roaming RDP user to prevent disconnects

I am trying to resolve a wireless issue for a busy medical office I work at; it is an 11,000 sf building with many exam rooms and offices, and 20-30 wireless users. We tried placing three WAP4410N devices around the building on different channels with a shared SSID, so that users would have connectivity anywhere in the building. The medical assistants and doctors connect to their EMR software using laptops connected via RDP and we seem to have an issue with connections dropping briefly when they move throughout the building. The disruption is enough that their RDP connections often become unresponsive and they have to take time to disconnect and reconnect again. The other issue is that the laptops would jump to a stronger signal when, for instance, a nurse walked to the front of the building to get a patient and came close to a different WAP, but then when they came back to the exam area, the device would hang onto that signal as it grew very weak instead of jumping back to the closer WAP.
We've also had issues with the a couple of the devices becoming completely unresponsive but I am hoping the firmware update will fix that. Is there a way to make this work properly with this model of router? How many devices should we need for full coverage?  If they just aren't up to this task, what should we be looking at to replace them? From what I have been able to research, what we are looking for is 'seamless roaming' and these devices don't support that. But I was told by a support tech that even the Aironet WAPs will have a few dropped packets going between APs so I would hate to upgrade yet again and still have the problem remain.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Hi, My name is Eric Moyers. I am a Network Support Engineer in the Cisco Small Business Support Center. Thank you for using the Cisco Community Post Forums.
The issue your describing is normal for WAP4410N's.
Since there is not a wireless controller used with those WAPs, there is no way to control the roaming so that it is seamless. Without the controller, wireless signals actually have to drop before they can move from one signal to another.
The only solution to get seamless roaming is to include a wireless controller into your network. The small business APs in our current inventory do not support.
Aironets with a wireless controller is your best solution. Would just need to see what Cisco has that works within your budget.
    Thanks

  • Stop the deprecated  madness bring back image data bindings to!!!

I have used dreamweaver since it was from macromedia, all the companys i worked for had dreamweaver, now that i decided to get my own for home and not use the company version things get worse and worse since this creative cloud bulls.... why is the only features use full on dreamweaver been deprecated?? i really cant understand why hate so much the customers that use it for dynamic building, whats the point always shooting us in the head, do you guys know how frsutrated we get when you first bought interkat then change it to the addt then it was deprecated, so dreamweaver was left with a few options for dynamic database producing, now its been removed and we are gived an extension that totalys sucks more than 50% of the features that we had with any other version are lost, example when trying to insert an image i have to do it all manually coding because now we dont have any more to pick dynamic images no databindings for that wtf....Dreamweaver is becoming just an expensive CSS editing tool with for that i can just use bootstrap and any other editor, using dreamweaver we are suppose to save time when developing websites, for a static site we can even use open office writer and save it has html.
Please stop the madness on taking out of the game dynamic options i have spent so much money on other extensions would hate to loss money again like i did with interkat, please listen to use stop it

    Hello David,
I understand your analysis, but I also share the "ranters" one.
Like you have said, Adobe is a business.
    But we are too.
Now tell me why should we pay that high a price for DW, when we can get a free editor like Netbeans with more or less all the features needed in web design/web development ? If we have to hand-code database connections ourselves, we are better off with Netbeans for instance, which allows step-by-step debugging, to boot. Server Behaviors and DW's extensibilty is (was?) the gem of DW. Take this out, and for many of us professionals, DW loses its appeal.
Like xadesadex stated, Sever Behaviors are not just a visual tool, it is a huge time-saver for building custom web sites, which many of us -- in this era of heavy frameworks, bloated CMS and other bootstraps -- still do on a daily basis. How fast can you build forms for CRUD functionnality without DW's Server Behaviors? And if you extend DW with your own code, you can even save more time. Take the late Fireworks : what would it be without John Dunning's and Aaron Beall's extensions? Haft-less productive a tool...
But in this removal, Adobe takes not only the risk to lose that fraction (how big/small?) of customers who use Server Behaviors on a daily basis, they also take the risk that another fraction of customers will leave because Adobe are presently giving a strong signal that what DW can enable them to do today, DW will not necessarily enable them to do in the future. In today's market, it takes a huge amount of time to learn a new software, change one's worflow and be productive again, as you know. But now, Adobe stubbornly refuse to answer the many ranting/protesting/unhappy posts about this removal, which destroys an indispensable asset for any business: trust from customers...
Adobe is a business, but we are too.
Removing this and that feature will end up closing the gap beetween DW and its competitors, some of which are free. And there will come a time when we will stop asking/ranting/being unhappy and take time to change our workflow and... software.
And the removal of Server Behaviors is a huge step in this direction.

  • Is there a common RFC/BAPI so that using it I can create multi report in EP

    Hi,
I am new to EP ..
I have to generate some 25 reports of R3 systems which shoudl be exposed to EP. After going thru the docs on EP..
It says that for every reports I need to create either an RFC or a BAPI. But It is a tedious job to create RFC functions for every report. Since these report is already there(Written) in the R3 System. I hate to convert these again as an RFC for every report.
Is there a common RFC /BAPI where I need to pass required parameters and the transaction code for a specific report instead of creating a new RFC for every reports. so that that specific RFC will do the job for me.
Is there a better/intelligent way to accomplish this task.
Please do not say use SAP trasnational iViews ... As this expose the SAP GUI directly to the user..thru this one can trigger new transactions ... Correct me if I am wrong.
    thanks
