Unfortunately, in your case, there isn't really a way to separate them as far as I can think.
You could try restoring from a backup, and choosing an older backup perhaps

Thanks for the input. I was finally able to find some test conditions that duplicated the problem, and it is either that or some other out-of-spec diffraction distortion. So I sent it off for repair.

We have recently upgraded to 71. We are having a crtical issue with one of the interface. below are the details:
Background:Interface is using ABAP mapping to convert an Idoc into file.
File name is fed into u2018dynamic configurationu2019 in mapping program.
File adapter uses dynamic file name and saves the file using NFS.
Interface receives idocs in batch, so several Idocs are received by XI almost at the same time.
Interface has been working without any problem in version 3.00 for last 3 years.
Problem in 71.:On occasions (random, not always), 2 idocs are merged into one file. It means, only one file is created, which includes the data from 2 idocs.
In message pipeline, same file name is shown both message (in dynamic config after mapping)
We have tried u2018use temporary filenameu2019 option on file adapter, but problem is not resolved.
Any sugegstion pelase!

Hi,
In your Graphical mapping create an UDF with code Thread.sleep(1000) and map this udf to any node (may be root node).
Note: The delay is in mili sec.
This udf will delay the mapping for specific time. I am not sure if it is going to solve your problem but you can try.

I am setting up a time machine backup to a external Hard drive. I want to backup by Mac book Pro running OSX 10.8.5. I would like to Partition the disk and use one partition for Time machine backups and the other for my Lightroom backups. How to do this?

I want to create a two partition disk. One partition for time machine, the other for Lightroom backup. Currently Time Machine is using the entire drive and it is doing the intial encryption and is about 29% complete after two days. I've decided that I want to turn encryption off and partition the disk. So I do I start over?

With the external drive attached, open Finder>Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility. Select the external drive from the list in the left side panel of the DU window. In the main window panel, click Partition in the buttons top center of that panel.
Select the number of partitions you want and adjust their sizes.
For the first partition, click to highlight the partition, then select the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and then the partition table as GUID [both of those are the defaults]. Click Apply and it will ask to confirm and erase and format that partion...oh, give the partition a name, like Backup.
Then repeat those steps for the second partition..and remember to name it...something like Lightroom.
Close Disk Utilitty and you are ready to send TM to the one partition, and do your backup of Lightroom to the second partition.

Can an external HD be partitioned into 2: one for OSX and the other for XP?

As the topic says, i got an external HD to backup all the stuff. But since I use a desktop PC as well as my macbook everyday, it would be nice to use the HD for both of them.
If the answer is yes, what program should i use? Thanks in advance.

A couple of things to be aware of for what you want to do:
1. File size: If you want to avoid the file size limitations of FAT32, then set one partition as NTFS and one as the OS X partition. Then, if you connect the external HDD to the Mac, you'll be able to read the NTFS partition but not write to it. The Windows PC will not be able to read or write to the OS X partition. Use FAT32 and both operating systems will be able to read and write to the FAT32 partition, but file size is limited to 4GB on the FAT32 partition.
2. Access the external HDD across a network, and the format is irrelevant--you can have an OS X (HFS) partition and an NTFS partition, and both operating systems can read and write to it. The reason is the SMB protocol, which does the translations for you, on the fly. For, example, I have several Mac and PC systems on a network, sharing is enabled on each computer, and two of the computers have an external HDD (one HFS, one NTFS) connected. From any computer on the network, I can access (read and write) any file on any other computer or external HDD.

If you want to copy one external disk to another external disk, and you want an exact copy, then you might consider Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. Either of which will make an exact duplicate of the disk.
If you wish to have Time Machine include an external disk as part of your normal Time Machine backups, that means just including the external disk as part of your Time Machine backups.
If you mean run a One-Off backup of the external drive to another external drive using Time Machine, I would go with CCC or SuperDuper.
If you could give some more details about what you are trying to do, how often you want to do this, what kind of information is on the drive being backed up, how often the data is being changed and thus how often you want to do this disk to disk backup, whether you want to have the incremental backups offered by Time Machine, or if you just want a copy, and anything else you can think to tell us about your situation and the problem you are trying to solve.

Narration in one speaker, music in the other

did a project and when i played in my movie room, the narration comes out of the left speaker and the music out of the right speaker.. same when i wear headphones... narration sounds distant if your sitting on the side of the room where the music and not the narration is coming out. i tried to mixdown.. any suggestions to get both music and narration out of both speakers.?

Pan them to the center.
TOOLS>AUDIO MIXER. Take them from 1 or -1 and pan them to 0.
Or if you are routed thru a mixer, pan your...well...PANS to the center.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW. If none of these steps solves your problem, you probably have a hardware issue and will need to bring the phone to Apple.

My emails and factime are on one account (i.e. my MobileMe account) and my Apple ID (i.e. imessage, itunes, app store etc) is on another account. I primarily wanted to make my MobileMe account my iCloud account, however I had to create a new account to do so, so I made a hotmail account because it didn't work again with MobileMe. But now I want all the iCloud data to be transferred from my hotmail account (Apple ID) to my MobileMe account, so I then have one account for everything (facetime, mails, imessage, app store etc). Is this possible?

You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your iCloud ID for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

If you had a passcode set on your iPad your data should be safe. The thief would have to force it into recovery mode and restore it in order to use it, which would completely erase it.
This shouldn't keep your daughter's device from accessing the iCloud account however. If you can no longer sign into the account on iCloud.com from your computer, contact Apple support for assistance.

I have a WD My Book 2 TB (usb 3.0). 300 GB for Time Machine and 1.7 TB for backing up my files like music, videos, photo, programs, etc...
But, i have another one with 1 TB (usb 2.0), what can i do with it?, backing up the 2 TB hard drive?, or only Time Machine?, i don't know.
I have a Macbook Pro Retina 13" with 128 Gb of hard drive (SSD).

I suggest using both drives for backup. One backup is not enough to be safe.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't keep changing accounts in iTunes, you will need to wait 90 days after changing once. You would need to use two computers or use two user accounts.
