I have a $20 credit on my iTunes account from Gift Cards and I have no credit card. Why can't I make an in-app purchase?
I've never had a credit card on my iTunes account because I mostly purchase free apps and because I don't own a credit card. If I want to buy an app I use a family members Apple ID. I had two $10 iTunes gift cards and I put them as credits to my iTunes account. Now I'm trying to make an in-app purchase of something worth 19.99 and it says that my iTunes account has insufficient funds. The billing information appears and I choose "none" as I always have for it to charge it to my credit balance but again it says that I have insufficient funds. I checked in my iTunes account and it still says that I have a $20 credit balance.
You have a Puerto Rico address on your account ? From a quick search I've found one site from somebody in Puerto Rico that includes a screenshot for an app receipt showing tax of 7 cents added to a 99 cent purchase. Are you able to view the purchase history on the account that you've been using, and see what prices show on them (e.g. if the store's listed price or price plus tax) : Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes, then 'see all' link next to the Purchase History section.

As RG says, if you're in the US, you haven't allowed for the sales taxes charged by your city and state. You'll need to buy something less expensive, add a credit card, or redeem an additional iTunes card.

I've tried restarting both devices, I've reinstalled the apps, I've reset both devices, I've logged out and back in, and I've tried on both wifi and cellular. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I have purchased other apps and music on iTunes since the problem started.

Can I have in one iphone 5 music from more than one itunes accounts? My daughter and I have our music in the same pc. She and I have iTunes accounts. I have not been able to load in my ophone with my itunes acct music that she purchased in her account. I have not been able to do this. Thanks
iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

we have 2 itouchs, we a separate itunes account for each one. We have one home computer to use them both on for sync and icloud, the icloud will not accept the 2 accounts?
Do you know what happens if you delete the icloud account from an iphone 4s? Will it delete the pictures, documents, etc. from the phone, or just unlink the icloud from the phone? I want to associate a different icloud account to the phone.

With my iPhone 4S I purchased the NAVIGON Europe App, downloaded needed files and maps within the App and all worked fine. But when I try to buy certain add-ons via In-App purchase I get a window telling me that it can'T connect to the iTunes store and that I have to contact iTunes store support.
This is what I have already tried to make it work:
Reset my iphone via iTunes (set it up as new iPhone)
Changed itunes store payment option from Click&Buy to credit card
restarted iPhone several times
scratched my head
checked restrictions under settings in iPhone: all is correct; in-App purchases allowed
chewed my lip
finally sent a message to the itunes store support.. waiting for their answer
no changes so far. I still get the same error message.
Any ideas?

So I purchased an app on my iPad but sometimes I use her iPad can I add her to my account or vice versa so that we can have the purchased apps and music on both iPads?
You can't add the app to her account, that copy is tied to yours. Do you sync to the same computer's iTunes ? If you do, and that app is on it (if it isn't then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases should copy it over), then you should be able to sync that app to her iPad. If you use different computers then you could copy it over and add it to her computer's iTunes library (Store > Authorise This Computer for your account and File > Add To Library to add it) and then sync it (you can find where an app is stored on your computer by right-clicking it in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library and selecting 'show in explorer' on the pop-up, and you can then copy it to, for example, a flash-drive to copy over to her computer).
If you log into your account on her iPad (or computer's iTunes) and re-download that app then you risk tying her iPad (or computer) to your account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 -

I have £25 credit in my itunes account, from 2 gift vouchers, but I can't actually spend it. When I chose an album to download, I am taken to a screen that allows me to enter/confirm my bank account details, but there isn't an option to use the credit in my account, even though I can see it in the top left hand corner next to my apple ID.

thanks,The iTunes Store sometimes requires a credit card to check that an account is valid, but shouldn’t normally charge purchases to it(except for gifts) while there’s sufficient iTunes Store credit.

The store credit in your iTunes account will be used first. Otherwise, the charge card you have on file will be used.

You can retain the apps and music for the USA account. However, you can only use the iTunes store in the country you are physically located. Thus, you can't update the USA purchased app when in Canada. See the following too:

No, you can only connect to one Home Sharing account at a time. If you want to see the content of the other Mac's library you will have to turn off Home Sharing on the Apple TV and log back in with the other iTunes account.

Hello, thank you for your prompt answer. I did have an idea that Home sharing might be the answer but could not quite figure out how to do it. I have enabled home sharing in my iTunes account, put in username and password, clicked on creat etc. But the homs sharing icon doew not appear in the left side of iTunes. So I got stuck.
