Yes, you can do all of that via Tools - Forms - More Form Options - Import Data, if you have Acrobat.
If you only have the free Reader then you can still do it, but it requires a script.

• From hdd to ssd: what about os and all data?

Hello everybody.
I know there are a lot of discussion about it and i read lots of them,
But maybe because english is not my first language, i have some problems in understanding the right things to do.
Also, i am pretty new with mac world as i just have my mb pro since last november.
so i hope you can help me with easy words, thanks.
here's the list of what i have:
- MacBook Pro 2.5ghz, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd
- os x mavericks (installed 2 days ago)
- all my documents/photos/music in my MB Pro
... and:
- crucial ssd 480gb
- an external hd enclosure usb 3.0
- the 17 in 1 tool kit
What do i have to do first?
And how will i transfer/install the os x from hd to ssd? or it "remains" somewhiere in my MB Pro?
I know there is a link from crucial with the procedure for removing hd and installing ssd, is this all i have to do?
Really hope you can help me... thanks in advance!
F.

Follow these steps:
Make certain that you have your data backed up as a precaution.
Attach the SSD to the MBP and open Disk Utility>Erase. Format the SSD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Open Disk Utility>Restore and in the 'Source' field drag the internal HDD from the left hand column.
In the 'Destination' field, drag the SSD from the left hand column.
Click on the 'Restore' button.
Depending upon the amount of data, this process may take a couple of hours.
When finished, restart your MBP holding doen the OPTION key. The display should show the internal HDD and the external SSD (yellow in color). Click on the SSD and if it boots the MBP, the clone has been successful.
Perform the physical swap. Your MBP should be ready to go. All of your data will be on the SSD exactly as it was on the HDD.
Ciao.

• I can't import photos from my camera in aperture.Nothing is happening when I plug the camera into the computer. This has not happened before.

All of a sudden, I can't seem to import photos from my Canon to Aperture. Nothing is happening. This hasn't happened before. What can I do?

All of a sudden, I've got the same problems too. Canon EOS camera connected via USB to Aperture, and nothing happens. I've got Aperture running, and using System Profiler the camera shows up on the USB tree. Using Image Capture the camera shows up briefly, but then disappears. I know it's not a battery problem with the camera, since it's fully charged and it's not a USB problem since the cable works for everything else.

• Spry Tables and Xml Data Sets viewed in IE7

Has anyone ever run into a problem with Spry Tables and Xml
Data Sets viewed in IE7? Work fine in IE6 and Firefox, but get the
error "exception caught while loading feed.xml: [object Error]" in
IE 7. Any ideas?
Attached is the xml I'm using.
Thanks

I came looking for the answer to this question. I could not
find an answer. Eventually I found it the answer that worked for
me, a graphic designer with not much experience in xml.
The following url provided an errata file in PDF format:
www.peachpit.com/dwcs3cib
which includes the following addendum to the incomplete
instructions in the book i was using to learn about spry:
"If Internet Explorer 7 is your primary browser, you'll nee
to take some extra steps to view spry dynamic content locally.
First, your site must be within the local server webroot; be sure
your Lessons folder is stored within the Inetpub>wwwroot folder.
Next, double-click the site name in the files panel to open the
Site Definition dialogue. Click the Testing Server category; from
the Access List choose Local/Network. Click Okay to close the Site
Definition dialogue. Now, when you preview your page with Internet
Explorer, your local Web server (localhost) serves the page as
designed."
Horray for me! Now i can move on from here and actually get
some work done!

• I have created PDF from hardcopy by using my scanner. After I run OCR option for my PDF by using Acrobat Pro 9. But "Text-to-speech" functionality of the PDF says that an error message comes up that says the page is empty when I turns on the read out loud

I have created PDF from hardcopy by using my scanner. After I run OCR option for my PDF by using Acrobat Pro 9. But "Text-to-speech" functionality of the PDF says that an error message comes up that says the page is empty when I turns on the read out loud option in Acrobat. Kindly help me to sortout this problems?

So I tried generating the same PDFs on two other computers that have Acrobat 9 Pro. Results were reproduced. The verdict is:
- complex PDF files (that is, containing cross-references, tables of contents, and bookmarks) generated by Acrobat 9.x Pro are roughly 2-5x larger than the identical file generated with Acrobat 8.x Pro.
- different PDF conversion settings make a negligable difference (less than 10% rather than 70-80%).
- using the "Reduce File Size" or "Optimize PDF" option cuts the file size roughly in half, almost always resulting in a "image downsampling mask" warning message, which requires acknowledgement (that is a problem for batch processing or automation).
- adding an Acrobat watermark to the file cuts the file size roughly in half.
- just using Save As to another filename has no effect on file size.
- generating the PDF in Acrobat 9 with links but no PDF bookmarks still results in the inflated file size.
- generating the PDF in Acrobat 9 without any links or bookmarks results in approximately the same file size as the Acrobat 8 PDF with full links and bookmarks.
It appears that Acrobat 9's manner of adding links is what's bloating the files, and in my case it's probably not related to images or image resolution/print quality. It's a shame, because Acrobat 9 seems to have made some improvements to the Review Tracker interface, and a few other bells and whistles which I haven't really gotten around to exporing yet. But unless I find a way to keep my links and the PDF file sizes comparable to what I was getting with Acrobat 8 Pro, it looks like I'm going to stay with Acrobat 8.

• Reference Library for Converting Between LabVIEW and XML Data (GXML)

Please provide feedback, comments and questions on the Reference Library for Converting Between LabVIEW and XML Data (GXML) in this thread.
The latest version of the NI GXML Library is availble in VIPM on the NI LabVIEW Tools Network repository.

Francesco, Thank you for the feedback. With this component it was my intention to make a more "terse" version of the LabVIEW Flatten to XML VI that was also supported on RT and that gave the user more flexbility regarding the structure of the parsing type definition. I think you are right that the XML parser is not compliant to section 2.11 of the XML spec. The parser does specifically looking for a #D#A and this appears to be an oversight on my part. Please confirm for me, the specifcation is saying that the XML parser should be able to recognize three possibilities as an "end of line" character: #D#A, #D, or #A. Am I reading this right? There are more efficient (and in some cases much more efficient) ways of sharing data between LabVIEW and LabVIEW: some examples are flattened binary strings and the datalog binary format. XML is slower than these optons but the upside is that it is human readable. Furthermore XML is inherently hierarchical which is convenient for complex data structures like clusters of arrays of clusters, etc. If you don't care about human readability then you are correct XML doesn't make as much sense.I will return to the GXML source code and try to fix this in the near future but I would hope that instead of creating yet another custom VI from scratch that you could reuse what I have provided for you. I included enough documentation in the source code so that users could make some modificiations themselves. The target application for this reference library was LabVIEW to LabVIEW communication. As such I documented the schema on the dev zone document from a LabVIEW perspective. It includes all the supported datatypes and all the supported data structures (cluters, arrays, multidimensional arrays, clusters of multidimensional arrays, etc.) I do see some value in making a more conventional XML spec but the time investment required didn't really line up with my intended use case. Were there any other downsides to GXML that I have missed? Best Regards, Jeff TippsSystems Engineer - Sound and VibrationMessage Edited by Jeff T. on 04-21-2010 10:09 AM

If you mean that the iPhone has Activation Lock - that is, it's asking for the previous owner's Apple ID and password to activate the device - then you will need that information, or you'll need to get the previous owner to remove the device from his/her iCloud account:
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2702
If you can't reach the previous owner or he/she is unwilling to cooperate, then the device is unusable by you. Return the iPhone for a refund if you can.

How can I import text produced in Pages into Adobe inDesign?

Menu > File > Export > Word .doc/x
I doubt it will do graphics and layout, but maybe, depending on your version of Indesign you may hit lucky (but probably not).

Another method is tosave your Word document as an a web page. Then open the htm file, copy the text and paste into an HTML snippet on your web page. Resize to show all the document and publish. It will retain the style, font and alignment of the original Word document.

• How to Create an R/3 source system and load data from there

Hello All,
Till now I have only worked with Flat files. I want to create an R/3 source system and extract data from there on to my Info Providers.
Does anyone has detailed steps for that. I am using BW 3.5 system
Thanks n Regards,
Abhishek

1. Type Transaction WE30. Check iDoc types
2. Type Transaction SM59. Maintain RFC destinations
a.) Open the RFC Destinations. b.) Find your Source System and double click on it. c.) Technical setting should contain information regarding yoursource system d.) Logon Information should contain source system client and name & password for you remote logon. We use RFC_SAB for BW logon to R/3 and RFC_AAE for R/3 logon to BW. Password for both is always xxxxxxx. e.) Execute your 'Test Connection' & 'Remote Logon'. You should NOT be prompted for a password, if you are then the logon info is incorrect. f.) Repeat above to verify RFCs for other systems (CRM etc)
3. Type Transaction WE21. iDoc Processing Ports.
a.) Select 'Ports' and then 'Transactional RFC'. b.) Click on the Port # for you source system. c.) Verify description & SAP R/3 version.(BW 2.1C should be release 4.x) d.) RFC Destination should be one created in SM59. If non-existent then create one
4. Type Transaction SE16. Data browser (for R/3  BW Connections)
5. Type Transaction SM30. Msg Types & Assignment to iDocs
Enter 'EDIMSG' in the Table/View field. Click on the 'Enter Conditions' option for Restrict Data Range. Click 'Maintain'. Select Message Type. Then enter 'RSSEND' in "From' field. Verify that the Basic Type matches what is in your RSBASIDOCtable for each of your connections. If any are missing any entries you must create them as follows: Create another session and type Transaction WE30. Enter IDoc Type (ZSBAXXX) in Obj. Name field (Suggestion: Start new type with 'ZS' + Transfer Structure Prefix + (3)#'s) Select Create. Select "Create from Copy'. Enter 'RSSEND" in 'Copy From' field Enter Description (i.e. IDoc Type for BW Development) Execute (Green Check). Repeat for other missingentries.
6. Go to the SM30 main screen. Clients Overview
Enter 'T000' in the Table/View field. Click 'Maintain'. Verify correct Client and Description. If incorrect enter.
8. On BW Type Transaction WE20. Partner Profiles
9. On R/3 Type Transaction WE20. Partner Profiles
10. Check all is correct

Thank you for your service.
I was most disappointed to find, however, that the letters I really wanted (Adobe Garamond Alternate Caps) is not in this collection and indeed, one now has to use another fancy designing program to construct those letters. I can’t afford to buy Photoshop just to construct two special capital letters. I’ve used the B and M in my logo for Balquhidder Music for years - but from jpgs - and I was hoping to have more flexibility in the future. I spent $169 to make sure I am in compliance. But I didn’t get anything of use to me.
I can’t understand why those Alternate Caps are not part of this - or any other package. I thought Adobe was capable of amazing things.
I assume I am whistling in the dark. So have a nice day.

Actually, when Adobe moved from Type 1 fonts to OpenType CFF fonts, all the so-called “expert typefaces” were consolidated into the base fonts. In other words Adobe Garamond Pro Regular not only has the Western Latin characters of the original Type 1 version of Adobe Garamond, but also has alternate Latin capitals (with titling, titling floating accents, and stylistic alternates), alternate Latin lowercase (swash and superiors), Latin small capitals (alphabetic and floating accents), ligatures, multiple numeric forms (including lining tabular, lining proportional, oldstyle tabular, oldstyle proportional, superscripts, scientific inferior, numerator, denominator forms, fractions, mathematical operators, etc.) plus a raft of other special symbols.
OpenType fonts are Unicode-based and allow for more than the 256 characters in Type 1 fonts which required multiple typefaces all with mappings to a standard keyboard to accommodate all these glyphs.
Thus, hopefully your disappointment will turn to joy.
To assist you in understanding OpenType fonts and to show you what is in the current Adobe Garamond fonts, I have attached a few PDF files for your perusal.
Let us know if you have any questions.

• How to create a note on my computer and sync to the notes file on my iphone 4S?

How do I create a note on my computer and then have that note show up in the notes list on my iphone?

Basically you duplicate the current iPhoto library and delete everything except the book and its photos and archive that smaller library
