I have a "Calendars" file on my desktop after visiting the Genius Bar. When opened it shows recent calendar files. How do I get it off the Desktop?
How do I get a "Calendars" file off my desktop. Where is it supposed to go? It has files of recent calendars in it and I'm afraid to delete it.

There are several ways. The two easiest are to click the Junk icon to turn it off or right click the message and select Mart As-Not Junk.

When I try to sync my ipod it shows that I have 2 gig of "other" stuff and I don't know what it is and it is taking up space. How do I get it off?
You need to restore you iPod to gedure the "other" to its normal of less than 0.5 GB. A restore from backup works if the large other is not in the backup. Make sure that you turn off outo syncing (iTunes>Preferences>Device and check the box that says Prevent iPOds....syncing. Otherwise, the backup will contain the other.

You can eject the iDrive when you are not using it. If you do not want to see it at all, even when you are using it, open Finder's Preferences and click on the General icon and uncheck "Connected Servers".
(Oops, I originally read the question as getting iDisk off Finder - not the Desktop. I am leaving the following, however, for those that might like to know.)
You can open Finder's Preferences and click on the Sidebar icon. You will then have the opportunity of choosing which of the default items to display in the Sidebar (you can add your own items by dragging them onto the sidebar). Once you have checked or unchecked what you want to see or not see, close Preferences. -

Thanks!You can only use the App Store version to reinstall on your new Mac if you bought Logic via the App Store in the first place.... and then it will appear under the Purchases tab in the Mac App Store App so long as you are signed in using the same Apple ID you used to purchase Logic via the App store in the first place.
If you bought the DVD edition of Logic Studio then you must initially install using those original DVDs to begin with and then update to the latest version of your version of Logic via software updates.
No DVD drive? Buy an external one.. Amazon do a very cheap basic one that works well..
or...
Use Remote Disk if you still have your older Mac which has a built in DVD drive...

I'm using a PC laptop. I have installed firefox 4 on my other computers and the stop/reload button was there after the install. When I installed it on this computer it never showed up. All I had were the stop reload buttons in my toolbar, taking up valuable real estate.
Follow these steps to fix it:
Firefox Menu > Options > Toolbar Layout > Place your Reload button to the left of the Stop button and they will integrate after you close the Customize Toolbar box. Do the same, but place them to the right of the address bar and they will integrate into the address bar.

I have two excel files I cannot open or delete from my desktop. One is titled 6ACAD200 and the other file is titled 8D73A700. How can I get these off of my computer?
From the names I'd guess they are temporary files. If excel is running, quit and try again. If they still won't move or delete reboot. If they still won't move or delete...kill a chicken at midnight under an oak tree?

I am a CC subscriber and trying to update lr5.7 and I am told to got to my CC folder and click on install. The problem is, LR is not in my file. I guess I have been using my original lr that I bought years ago. What now? How do i get lr into the CC file?
