Yes you can still purchase replacement batteries your iPod from third party repair companies.  Apple does not offer replacement parts.
Do a Google search for iPod battery replacement and you should get a plethora of results.  There are many good deals on Amazon and eBay.

If you have a backup of your computer, here's the location of the iTunes backup folder:
Where are iTunes backups stored on your computer
The folder where your backup data is stored depends on the computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your data-backup routine. iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and click OK.
    Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata% and press Return.

  • I restored my ipod 4th generation but i lost all of my photos. I used iCloud but i have never synced with itunes. Is there any way I can get my pictures back?

On the settings I went to iCloud then went to storage and backup and it saus total storage 5.0 gb and avaible storage is 2.7 gb but all of my photos arent there. Then when I click manage storage it says camera roll 2.0 gb is there any way i can get my photos back? please help

If you use the same iCloud ID and before you will get your contact, calendar and notes and other iCloud things back. If your previously has PhotoStream one you will also get back the last 30 days of photos.
It appears you do not use the same iCloud ID.
What do you see for Contacts, Calendar and Notes when you go to icloud.com and sing in with the same ID. You need a computer browser.

  • I had my iTunes on my computer wiped and I have a song that is on my iPhone that is different from the original. Is there any way I can get that version of the song from my phone to my computer?

I don't understand why I can see the content on my iPhone on my computer and yet not transfer it over.
If you can find me the faster version of Runaway by Ed Sheeran, that would work too. The normal song is like 3:25 and is slower and my version is 3:00 exactly.

Your friend can get a new Apple Id for themselves, and create a different account on one of the laptops. Then put all their music in a separate iTunes library, and sync the phone to that particular library.
This will keep there music separate from your library and their brother's library.
Just make another User on your computer for your friend to store their music in.

  • HT1212 for an iTouch 4 my young daughter thinks she remembers her password now but we have already exceeded the attempts and it says "iPod is disabled" connect to iTunes.  Is there any way we can get the device to allow another attempt?

My 7 year old daughter has an iPod Touch 4 and she used the wrong password too many times.  She thinks she remembers her password now but we have already exceeded the attempts and it says "iPod is disabled" connect to iTunes.  Is there any way we can get the device to allow another attempt?  We are traveling this week so don't have access to the serial number or the computer that was used to originally set up her iTouch.  I don't even know what operating system it's on and can only see the home screen.

Restoring the iPod will do nothing to his iPhone.
When you restore it wipes the iPod clean no matter what computer you use.
The only plus to doing it form your home computer is if you have a backup stored there, then you can restore from the backup once it's done wiping.
If you are away form your home computer, go ahead and use the computer you have to restore it, then when you get home, you can restore form any backup you may find. You can use this to help you do that when you get there: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766

  • My itunes was deleted off of my computer. Is there any way I can get my music from my Ipod back onto my computer?

Most of my music is from CDs that I don't have anymore. I've got over a thousand songs and most of them were deleted when my computer crashed. Is there any way I can get my music from my ipod back onto my computer? Any sort of program you can buy? Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it!

  • I just synced my ipod to a new computer and it deleted all my songs except my purchased songs. is there any way i can get them back?

i just synced to a new computer and accidently erased all my songs that were not purchased. Is there any way I can get them back?

If they are still in your iTunes library, the answer is "yes", you can resynch to get them back.
If they are not in your iTunes library, and no longer on the iPod, I do not believe they cannot be gotten back easily. You might be able to have someone see if they are still on the disk, but that can be $$$. This is why the ITunes library should be viewed as the primary repository of music, even if you need to purchase an external hard drive or two to have the music and a backup.

  • Is there any way I can get rid of the noise my iPod makes when I plug it in to charge without turning the volume of the whole IPod (4th Generation) down?

I have a 4th generation IPod touch. Today I downloaded the new iOS 6.0.1 and I have a question. Is there any way I can get rid of the noise when I plug it in to charge? I had it set that way before, and I can't seem to figure out how I did it. I found when I turned down the over all volume it gets rid of it, but I don't want to change the over all volume. Thanks so much for you help and Happy Holidays.

If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • Ive deleted movies from itunes which has removed them from apple tv, i still have them on my ipad, is there any way i can get them back into itunes?

ive deleted movies from itunes which has removed them from apple tv, i still have them on my ipad, is there any way i can get them back into itunes?

If the movies were rentals then no.
If the movies are purchases and you have the iTunes 10.4 then you should be able to access the 'cloud' option from in the main iTunes page  - purchases - (upper right corner) and go from there.
You should also have the option to transfer purchases from the iPad back into iTunes. I don't have an iPad but you can transfer purchases from the iPod/iPhone back to iTunes.

  • Is there any way i can get a stolen ipod back?

is there any way i can get a stolen ipod back?

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

  • Is there any way I can get my play lists back to my iPod itouch as the last time I snyc my itouch it deleted them from my itouch and from my pc

is there any way I can get my play lists back to my iPod itouch as the last time I snyc my itouch it deleted them from my itouch and from my pc

While I can't help you get back Playlists that have been deleted (by iTunes!), I can hopefully help you stop that happening again. The latest version of iTunes (on 4th July 2012) is 10.6.3.25 and this version fixes the bug that has been present (in iTunes) for the last few updates.
So first of all, make sure you have iTunes 10.6.3.25 installed.
For any Playlist you created, you will simply have to compile them again from memory, or by starting again.
For the built-in Playlists that came with iTunes:

If your phone is offline, the ONLY way to find it is to look for it the old fashioned way.  Your phone CANNOT be located electronically if it's offline.
