You could try to redeem it. If you have serial number and activation code, then you can contact itunes support to redeem it, if it has not been redeemed.

the last version of Mac OS X which supported running PowerPC apps on Intel Macs was Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). If you’d like to play this PowerPC game on your Intel MacBook Pro, then you’ll need to install Snow Leopard on it and boot into Snow Leopard. (Note that the last MacBook Pro which natively supported Snow Leopard was the Early 2011 model.)
The game was almost certainly published before Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) was released, so back then, all versions of “Mac OS X 10.3 or higher” would have supported running that PowerPC game.

iTunes and the iTunes Store won't have anything to do with your photos. Those would be stored only on your laptop unless you made a backup of some sort. If you didn't, and the hard drive in your laptop has failed, then your photos are gone unless you wish to pay a disk recovery service a lot of money to try and get them back.
As to your music, if you purchased it from the iTunes Store you can probably re-download it. Go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. Note that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time. On itunes open the store tab and click manage accout, once your in there should be a settings tab called devices, remove the old computer and then try to authorize yours under the store tab in itunes.

Do you have the box the MBA came in? That will have the serial number on it.
Do you have an Apple receipt for it? That wil have the serial number on it.
Did you register it with Apple when you bought it? If so, see this Apple note.

If you were instructed to call them, then that's what you should do. They will probably need to verify your identity before helping you with the security question.
