Without knowing what you have tried please open System Preferences - Sharing - File Sharing and select File Sharing. If you still have trouble you can call AppleCare in the morning when they re-open. You have 90 days of telephone support if you haven't already bought AppleCare.

I updated to Yosemite and everything worked great for a few days until earlier. My mac was plugged to my TV via HDMI wen everything hanged. I did a hard reset and the screen was just black during startup. There were the startup sounds but no images from the screen. it did have images at one point where it gave me options to reset my password. I did a couple of hard reboots and pressed Alt/Option or Cmd+Option+P+R based on previous posts. Didnt know which w but I was able to access my account and log in. If you order replacement DVDs, Apple will send you DVDs with the original Mac OS X version that came with your Mac, in this case, Mac OS X 10.4.5.

From apple say even a year has not passed it is not under garancy and I should pay to fix it without ans issue.

What do you want to access in "the cloud"?
Snow Leopard would be your next system upgrade and you should be OK with the CS3 applications, and Office 2008. I cannot confirm that the other applications will work.
This is quite old, but take a look or Google the other applications to see if they are compatible with SL.

If your webcam is powered by USB, make sure it is attached directly to your Mac and not a USB hub. In my case, I had my Rocketfish webcam attached to a peripheral USB hub and it wasn't drawing enough power to operate at capacity. Therefore, Facetime was quitting on me and giving me that exact error message. Once I attached the webcam directly to my Mac USB port, problem solved. Hope that helps.

There is a new app with an ugly orange T named Tips on my phone now. How do I get it off my phone. It is an Apple App not a purchased app and looks like a Tennessee advertisement.
It is part of iOS 8, and cannot be removed. You can move the app to another page, or hide it in a folder. You can turn off the notifications for the App in the notifications center control pane.

I want to reinstall OS on my 2012 MacBook Pro. It shipped with 10.8, but now runs 10.9. Can I reinstall straight to 10.9, or do I have to reinstall 10.8 and upgrade again to 10.9?
Best to install 10.9 straight up. If you still have your OS 10.9 downloaded file you can use that, or you can go to the app store and download it again. It will be in your previous purchase history. Or you could even upgrade to 10.10. If you want to start from scratch you will need to boot from USB or DVD and initialise (erase) your internal HD. To do create a bootable USB thumb drive with OS 10.9 or 10.10 follow this guide

Old iMac with Snow Leopard to new iMac with Lion - can I do this?
Hi folks,
1. I have a 6 year old iMac running Snow Leopard (can't upgrade to Lion)
2. Just bought a new iMac running Lion.
3. I want to migrate all accounts, files, apps, etc from old iMac to new iMac (about 150 Gb worth)..
4. I would normally connect both iMacs either with an Ethernet cable or via wi-fi network and run Setup Assistant to move everything to the new iMac.
Based on my experience doing this on other Macs I have, I know it's gonna take 8 to 10 hours to migrate everything over to the new iMac so I'm looking for ways to migrate so my iMac isn't tied up all day and I don't have to spend all day in front of the computer making sure all is o.k. So, if I make a bootable clone on a separate portable drive using SuperDuper, can I hook that drive up (instead of old iMac) to my new iMac and run Setup Assistant that way? That would free up the old iMac to use while the new iMac crunches away copying all those files from the portable drive. Will that work? Has anyone done this successfully? Any cautions or things to watch for?

Thanks for the info, but I want to use an external FireWire drive as the target disk, not the old iMac. I'd need to keep the external FireWire drive connected to the old iMac in order to use the screen, keyboard, mouse, etc. Could I just connect the FW drive to the new iMac and then start up the new iMac in hopes it would "recognize" the external FireWire drive through Setup Assistant? -
