You said that your computer will sync other iPods? Are they iPod touches? Other iPod use different drivers the the touch And iPhone and iPad).
You can try:

Does it charge? Does the iPod work?
I would try on another computer.
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -

Connecting through email is extremely important these days donhinson. Let's get this fixed today. I first recommend removing the email account and readding it back to your device.This will help reset the settings. Listed below are steps to check the email settings, outgoing, and incoming servings.
1.From a home screen, select Apps (located in the lower-right).

I recently (Jan 2012) acquired a MacBook Pro (MBP) running 10.7.4 and an AirPort Express. I also have an old PPC G4 tower (Digital Audio model) running 10.4.11. The OS software on both machines is totally up to date. AirPort Utility on the G4 is 5.4.2 and on 6.0 on the MBP. I bought a used AirPort card for the G4, I believe it is 802.11b compatible, and the wireless data rate is specified at 11 Mbps. Being a newbie to wireless, it took me many days to get these two machines to link up. This network is not connected to the internet, and there no other networks in the vicinity.
My last problem to solve is the very slow file transfer speeds between the two machines. The transfer time seems to vary depending on which machine I use to initiate the transfer, and which direction the transfer is going. For example: If I initiate the transfer from the G4 and send a 5.4MB file to the MBP it takes 1:32 (min:sec), while the same file going from the MBP to the G4 takes 27 seconds. On the other hand if the transfer is initiated on the MBP, going from the MBP to the G4 takes 2:56, while going from the G4 to the MBP takes 1:59. I realize that these times are not actual wireless transfer times but includes the entire transfer process.
Both machines and the AirPort Express are within a 4-foot radius. Both machines are set to radio channel 2. The AirPort Express is set for 802.11n(802.11b/g compatible) with WPA/WPA2 Personal wireless security.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I could connect them by ethernet if all I wanted to do was transfer files, but I would like to network them so I could use wireless internet. The machines are not always so close together, I did that to simplify the testing. With the very slow transfer speeds I am reluctant to move ahead with the internet step.

I have started getting spammed on multiple Apple products (iPhone and iPad) with FaceTime calls since the recent IOS update. Is there any feature or setting I can use locally to restrict incoming calls to a FaceTime account without going to the carrier?
After calling AT&T tech support one more time, and explaining to them that the glitch was on their network, they admitted that the problem was at their tower...
I continued to use the phone on EDGE mode for two more days until the problem was fixed.
I even got a call back from a tech support guy asking me if my phone was working properly....
I wish they would have admitted to the problem before I sat at the apple store for 2 hours. -
I have a Iphone 4 and after the last software update iOS.0.4, my phone is no longer connecting to the wifi at my house.
My MacBook Air is connected and my roommates phones are also connected, but my iphone that always was connected to the same network is no longer connecting to the wifi.

Thank you!Problem persisted after fixes were done so wife called apple today. Their fix is to turn cellular off when in the house and turn it back on when she leaves- the 4 doesn't keep the password so she has to enter the password too... This wasn't a fix ...it's just resolving the connection problem... They also said that they made ios6 have security features so nobody can hack into the wifi without having the password and it has to be entered to use the wifi. My 5 and the iPads stay on with no problems. It's just the 4. So far so good...she's had wifi all day when home. It's inconvenient but it's either completely reboot it with iTunes (which doesn't work for her) or buy a new phone and she won't do that either.
So...Apple is saying that she didn't have to do the updates either and could've stayed with the previous iOS but !!!too late now!!! We've updated because we think our phones will run better but the ios6 just made it a pita for users
I wonder if the hackers of the world are having as many issues as the peeps who are just trying to use their wifi?? -
I have an older computer and can no longer update. After the latest Apple update I can no longer access my e-mail on my mac. I can view it on my iphone and on icloud. Is there a solution to this problem?
Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

Last week my iPhone 5 would only be down 5-10% in 24 hours. I mostly text and e-mail. After the 6.1 update yesterday it has been 20 hours since the last charge and it is down 60%. Something is up
Sounds like all the settings that you may have adjusted to save power (screen brightness etc etc) have been defaulted back to factory.
If you jump into all the settings and turn off what you dont need and turn down what you do need it will be the same as before.

I have tried all the solutions apple has offered online. I will not reset my phone to factory settings unless it is a last resort. What is Apple doing to fix this? I had my last Iphone last for more than 2 years and I hve had this one less than a year. My Wifi was greyed out and now it's on but won't connect or locate any networks (but if I keep switching it on and off it will freeze on me again). Does Apple have plans to fix this problem because I refuse to purchase a new phone?
Are there any other new solutions to try in fixing the Wifi that doesn't require freezing or heating up the phone or switching to airplane mode and resetting the network settings as well making sure it's up todate or changing the apostrophe in the phone's name? All of a sudden my computer stopped allowing me to watch Youtube videos or anything involving Adobe Flash software. I tried uninstalling Flash and reinstalling it, I've tried changing my cookies... everything that I find on different forums and I still can't get videos to play. On the Flash website it says that the latest flash model, version 14.0.0.145, works with Macs OS 10.6-10.9. Does that mean that flash is incapable of working with a Mac 10.9.4? I can't believe that the mac community stopped watching Youtube after the last update and nothing's been done. Has anyone else experienced this problem and more importantly found a way to fix it?

Anyone having problems syncing iPhone 4S & 3GS wit Outlook after the recent software update?
Trying to sync both phones with outlook (this was working perfectly till toady) but the contacts and calender have suddenly stopped syncing - I keep getting the following messages:
"iTumes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later"
"iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPhone because the apps installed on the iPhone could not be determined"
Have tried restoring the original settings but have lost all contacts on the 4S as I had tried to sync it repeatedly earlier - now all is restored except for the contacts and calender.
Please help. Thanks.Try updating to the latest version of iTunes.
