Have you synced your iPhone with iTunes on this computer before? If not, nothing is selected automatically under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Was this the first time your iPhone was connected to iTunes on any computer? If so, the first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes for the first time that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or eyeless device to the iPhone or set up the iPhone as a new iPhone. This is not automatic, it must be manually selected.

Nope.
Did you fail to import them before restoring from backup? If so, then they are gone.
You should import all photos taken with the iphone to your comuter regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update or restore.

Not usually.
Apple has had similar offerings every year, to which they always establish a time interval for elligibility. I've not seen where they give credit to prior sales on the education perks.

Did you sync to a different computer than the one you had previously synced to? If so you need to sync to the original computer. Otherwise you can just restore the last backup you made on the previous sync.

TimeMachine not backing up, as hard drive is full. Can the time machine clear old backups and replace them with new?

As the harddrive is full, Can the time machine clear old backups, and override them with new backups. For example 5 - 6 days +++ old. Backups were proformed dayly

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
It sounds like you are turning off syncing (settings > iCloud) rather than back ups.
Try turning them on again.

OS update removed most languages and replaced them with east asian ones!

I just got a Blackberry Curve 9360. When I downloaded the Blackberry software app, it asked me if I wanted to update the OS to 7.1 Bundle 1311, which I did. However, all the languages I had with the previous version were removed and replaced by east asian languages (except for English). I use French a lot and would like to get that language back! When I looked at support forums on the matter, they suggested I download the software again from RIM. I tried, but it won't execute because it is a Windows version and my computer is a Mac. I also tried checking for updates through the Blackberry computer software but it tells me the program is up to date, and when I go through their 'applications' options, all I find there are the east asian languages also.
How can I get my original language options back??

My dad has an imac G5 from 2005, and I'm wondering if we can bring it to the Apple store and replace it with one of the newer models. How much would the G5 be worth and how much money would we have to put on top of it to buy the newer model?

The Apple Store will offer to recycle it for free, you are better off selling it on ebay or elsewhere, I have seen decent looking ones go from $80-$250 here in Australia.

Does anyone know why my phone deletes my contacts and replaces them with another devices after i restore it to the origninal contacts?

i recently upgraded iPhones and so did my mum so when i was setting them up i linked the icloud between the two and since then my phone will only keep her contacts even if i restore my phone back to my old phones settings. when i have restored to my old phones settings it will hold the contacts i use to have for about 1-2mins and after that it will delete all of them and then replace with the numbers on my mums phone.. is there any way around this because i am getting frustrated that i cant access my old contacts. i have deleted the previous back ups to my old phone but has made no difference :/

Your problem is that just after restoring your device, it than syncs with icloud, finds that icloud has you mum's data and so deletes everything on your device and downloads her data. The issue here is that you and your mum are using the same icloud account - you should each have your own account
Read this link, it covers how to recover from lost contacts from an icloud backup. It's not quite what you need, but the discussion about how to stop syncing just after performing a restore is important to you. Good luck.

nothing is changing after multiple sync attempts the device content remains unchanged, It does not vary even if I try unchecking selections, manually selecting for only artists beginning with "a" , nothing exchanges items on the nano for any chosen selction on the PC Itune library/

I have changed computers and installed iTunes on my new computer. I want to sync my iphone now but the "sync" program indicates that it will remove all data on my phone and replace it with the newly installed itunes that does not have my information.

Now I want to sync my iphone but the new itunes on the new computer wants to remove everything on my niphone and replace it with what's on the newly installed itunes data but it does not have my data.

There is no way to stop iTunes from doing exactly what it is designed to do.
The iPhone is designed to sync with one and only one computer.
If you have moved/copied your iTunes library from your old computer to your new one, then iTunes wiping your device is no problem. You would simply sync and iTunes will put all the content back.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
