I have a problem with the latest version of itunes not responding when i open it.

Every time i open itunes on my PC i cant do any thing and have to use task manager to close it as it keeps not responding

Thanks but I had already read this, and it was no help at all. Under the Summary tab, "Options", there is no check-box to manually manage my stuff. I suspect this is because it is a 2nd gen iPod, with ONLY manual management. The only way to delete my stuff seems to be to reset the entire device.

Apple just makes it harder and harder for us podcast-lovers, driving us away from Apple -- driving me away from the entire brand and from ALL Apple devices, not just iPod.

On iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - it should then look similar to that article.

Note that synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you need to include all the photos that you want on the iPad from your computer in each photo sync.

I can't paste text into info boxes anymore with the latest version of itunes

Ever since I downloaded the latest version of itunes (on Windows 7), I can no longer paste text into the info boxes when I edit song information. I can’t paste by right-clicking or Ctrl+V, this is driving me crazy because I’m trying to add info on a Russian artist with Cyrillic letters and I can’t do it! I didn’t buy the song from itunes so it can’t be issues with Copyrighting although the same thing happens with songs from the store and every other song in my library. I can paste text into the lyrics section but that’s it. I restarted my computer after reinstalling the latest versions of itunes and Firefox today hoping it would fix my problem but it didn’t. Is this happening to anyone else? I hope someone can help me! Oh and it isn’t just with Russian, I tried to paste English info just to see if it was a problem with recognizing Cyrillic and still nothing pastes, the boxes just stay blank.
Itunes is annoying me more than ever. With the constant updates you’d think they would be able to improve all bugs but once one problem is fixed another occurs and it’s so irritating because I couldn’t care less about how my library looks as long as everything is organized in a simple way and I can sync my ipod without spending forever on itunes re-editing stuff and readjusting to updated layout changes. That would be Manually manage, not Manually syncing.
Click the drop down arrow at top left the Show menu.
Then iTunes menu View > Show sidebar.

Whats up with the latest version of itunes. It won't let me down load songs to my shuffle.

Ever since I updated the latest itunes 10, I,ve had problems with my Ipod shuffle. Itunes syncs with it (all but slowly) but then won't let me replace songs on it. Restored it to factory settings. Tried my partners shuffle. Same problem so I gather the problem is with the latest version of itunes. Anyone else experiencing these problems? If so, any help would be much appreciated. Starting to get severly ****** of with it. Even considering going to another music store.

the only messages I get is when I try to download songs from my library. It comes up saying " a number of errors occured when trying to download the music" but it does not tell me what those errors are.
Initially when my shuffle was full and I tried to replace the songs with new ones, it would go really slowly then show that only four or five songs had been downloaded. When I disconnected my shuffle and played it, it still had all the original songs on it. I tried to restore my shuffle to original factory settings but it would not let me. I then reloaded my original ipod restorer off disc and this has removed everything off my shuffle. I then uninstalled itunes then reinstalled but still have the same initial problems.
I've got itunes to automatically sync with the ipods which it does successfully but thats as far as it goes.

Connect the iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes and at the menu at the top of the screen, go to View>Show Sidebar. After you have the sidebar, click on your iPad name like you did in the past. Click on the Apps tab in the window on the right. Scroll down to File Sharing apps.

Great question, we simply need to check "Purchased Date" from the View Options menu.
In iTunes 11, click the "View" menu and choose "Show View Options". Located under "Stats" is the "Purchase Date" option.
