You are running 10.6.8? If yes, I assume you have your install disks? As the trash bin is part of Mail app and that is an integral part of the OS, the only way I know to get it back is to reinstall the OS. You won't lose any files, just reinstall the OS over the top of the current system.

The chances that it's a virus on your iPad or iPhone is very slim. Who is your mail provider? it's far more likely that your address has been spoofed and it's your mail service that has been compromised not your iDevice. I know my Yahoo mail was hacked and people in my address book received spam mails that I didn't send.

Last summer I bought a music album from iTunes. I've already transferred all my purchases from my units, but somehow iTunes wants me to pay for the same album again. When I try to add it to my wish list it simply tells me that I've already bought that item.
And I've already tried to search for downloadable purchases.
So fact is established, I've purchased this album before but iTunes does not recognize it.
What to do?Hey sorry for the late response but I've been out of town. I can copy and paste the email responses if necessary or desired, and if it's fixed already this is a moot point anyway, but basically they kept asking me for the order numbers for the two songs I already bought from the specific album I was trying to complete, which I eventually gave them - along with telling them multiple times that the Complete My Album feature wasn't working for ANY album. They gave me two free song codes to compensate me for the two songs I bought, and then told me to go and buy the album at full price, but the ENTIRE TIME they COMPLETELY ignored that I was telling them that this wasn't an issue with one album but was a larger, seemingly systematic issue that other people were experiencing. Even after I got the song codes I emailed them back and said AGAIN that this wasn't an isolated feature, and they just sent me the link to the apple Feedback page (http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html) and told me to submit my complaint there. So, technically, my issue was never really "resolved," in that they never fixed the Complete My Album feature that I am aware of - or even acknowledged that anything needed fixing, but I haven't tested it since Sunday.
If it's working for you, then hopefully they fixed it! I've noticed they've updated to 10.4.1, but the notes don't indicate they're fixing anything about the Complete My Album feature, so I don't know. -

Go to Mail Preferences>Accounts, click the '+' button below the list of accounts and insert the settings, username and password as instructed. Some account types can be set up automatically as soon as Mail knows the emails address (because the server settings are built in), in other cases you will have to get them from your ISP.

I'm trying to add album art to a CD I imported but it will not work. The album art will add to other albums but it won't show on the album. The CD is imported from Japan, didn't think that would be a problem. Does anyone know a solution?

You are welcome. As I gather you have now figured out, any of the other formats (AAC, MP3, AIFF, or Apple Lossless) can handle artwork just fine.

I am able to transfer my photos from my iPone 4s to my PC with Windows Vista but it won't transfer my videos? Does anyone know how to do this?
I have Vista (don't laugh) and my videos are transferred over when I plug in my phone. They don't open up in Winodws Picture Viewer though.
They are under my Photos, under the date created by the sync. Do a search I'm sure you'll find them. -
I have got a lot of apps, which are not installed on any of my iDevices anymore. is there a possibility to remove all those apps from iTunes without searching which ones are, and which ones aren't installed on one of my iDevices?
Assuming all the device(s) have been synced to this computer as its Home computer. The easiest way would be to delete all the apps from iTunes. After which connect your device(s) to the computer (iTunes) and transfer purchases from the device(s) by right click (control click) the device name in the left sidebar and the click transfer purchases. When done only the apps on your device(s) will be in you iTunes library.

I cant download the new iTunes soflware on my PC because I have not yet been able to sync my photos from my phone to my itunes. If I update to the new software on my pc, for some reason I can't then update my phone software. What Ive had to do the past few times is go the the Apple Store and have them load the new iTunes on my phone for me but then that means I lose all my pics. I dont remember how I used to get my photos from my phone to my itunes but i know i used to be able to. I think I lost some of my options. Does anyone know what this could be? I'm thinking of upgrading from v10.6.8 Snow Leopard to OS X Yosemite. I know, I'm years behind, but it has become a necessity. My Mac is becoming slow and is incompatible with many softwares and websites. Does anyone know of any problems associated with this upgrade? What are the implications and/or consequences of installing Yosemite? Does it effect functionality of v10.6.8 software or hardware? Are there any precautions I should take before the installation? Clearly there are some applications I need to remove and no doubt my HD could do with a 'spring clean'. My Mac 'Safe Booted' when I turned it on this morning.
I use many different softwares, some web-based. The decision to upgrade to OSX Yosemite is because I was unable to attend a Webinar this week using GoToMeeting downloadable software. GoToMeeting have upgraded their system and my OS is no longer supported. Other websites like VImeo no longer support my version of Safari. I tend to use Chrome if Safari isn't compatible.

I just got a new macbook and before i had to sync all my photos from my old mac onto a bunch of flash drives and most are on my phone. Ive successfully imported the flash drives and the photos on my camera roll to my new macbook iPhoto but not the other 1,000+. My computer isn't recognizing it maybe because its in 'mac events'. Does anyone know what to do? Please help it would be greatly appreciated especially since i don't have much room left on my iphone anymore. thank you.
You'll need third party software to get the images not on your camera roll. iExplorer is one such app, but there are others. Search on MacUpdate

In general -
- if you've not yet talked to Apple's Tech Support, do so. If you purchased AppleCare with the machine, be sure to mention that.
- if you've been talking to Apple's Tech Support and not got resolution, give them one more try but ask to speak to a Level 2 person or a supervisor. If you got a job/ticket number at some point, refer to that on your call. If you got a case number while the machine was still under warranty, the case is still open - and, as I recall, repair should still be made under warranty.
- if you've already done that, talk to Customer Service, explain the situation, firmly ask for resolution: repair or replacement.
If there's an Apple Store near you, you can call them to set up an appointment to take your machine in. Again, if you have AppleCare be sure to mention that.
You probably already know this, but...
Being firm but polite works a lot better than being demanding and rude.
You may feel like screaming at them out of frustration; please don't do it. Remember - they, the folk you talk to, didn't do whatever went wrong with the machine. Do what you need to do in order to get them to do what you want them to do. -

I have got very little memory left on my iPad, and there is lots tied up with Keynote presentations. I don't want to delete them permanently, but I do want them removed from my iPad - can anyone suggest how I can do this please?

tap the file to be deleted
tap the trash
tap Delete Presentation.
Do not rely on iCoud for storing files, it is a distribution system, not a long term store.
