Premiere Pro 1.5.1 was released in March 2005. It's far too old to qualify for an upgrade.
There have been 5 major upgrades and 8 years of development since then.
The current version is CS6 and only those who own CS5 or CS5.5 are eligible to upgrade.

We are using Oracle ERP in our company which is a web based ERP system. I am using firefox to work in ERP for convinieince pf working and using internet at the same time. This requires a plugin provided by oracle oajinit.exe to be installed in Plugins it is a JAVA plugin which opens the ERP Screens. This works fine in versions prior to 3.6 version of firefox. However, after upgrading to 3.6 version the forms do not open and firefox crashes. Due to this i am not able to upgrade to the latest version else i'll have to operate the ERP in internet explorer and using firefox for browsing which i do not want. The plugin used for the ERP is "* JInitiator 1.3.1.18 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)"
Firefox 3.6 needs the Java Second Generation Plugin which comes with newer versions than 1.6.0_03 - update Java, the latest version is 1.6.0_22

There is a benefit to upgrade to Creative Cloud for you get all the new features in ACR and Photoshop. However you also get the new bugs Adobe introduces. And you also need to have several versions of Photoshop installed For Adobe is removing features and changing API so the newer versions of Photoshop have different features and capabilities. Currently there are three versions of Photoshop included in the cloud.
You will not see Old Photoshop Version CS6 getting bug fixes or the latest features of ACR. In fact the Perpetual CS6 versions are different then the Cloud version of CS6.
CS 6 perpetual are version 13.0.6 Mac and version 13.0.1.3 PC these install in two flavors Standard or Extended where extended has features like 3D that are not in the Standard flavor. Cloud CS6 is the full CS6 Extended version 13.1.2 Mac and PC. There some fixes in the cloud version not in the perpetual versions and some Plug-in support has been removed in the cloud version of CS6 but still exists in the perpetual CS6 version. -

My OS is Windows 7 Home Permium. Basically my problem is not with Firefox (or Thunderbird) but is with the speed of my internet connection which is a whopping 26.4kbps at its maximum. Updating to a newer version is virtually impossible due to the sheer size of the download since my server (ISP) times out long before an update is downloaded. Is either program, Firefox or Thunderbird available on CD? If so where and how much does it cost? I ask the latter part of this question because I am on Social Security and every penny counts. BTW, I love both programs, much better than any offering by Microsoft especially that "Windows Live Mail" joke.

The latest version of sync demands to be upgraded to the latest version before it will function.
It appears that Sync v1.5.1 (the VERY LATEST VERSION) demands to be upgraded to a newer version before it will function for me. This is with a clean install of Firefox 3.6.12 on Win7. I have even fully deleted the profile several times just to confirm that this problem is not profile-related. I have almost 10 copies of Firefox I need to synchronize across various workstations, servers and USB devices, so this is not a trivial issue for me. It is so severe that I am actually moving back to XMarks in order to avoid this chicken-vs-egg issue.
Moving to a beta/alpha of sync (1.6) does not fix the issue, as it then claims that the pin is wrong. When the field for the pin comes up, it is clearly something else other than what I initially inputted under 1.5.1.
Seriously tho, nothing says clusterfck more clearly than the latest version of a product demanding to be upgraded to the latest version in order to function.Safari is part of OS X and isn't available as a separate download. How did you get a newer version than the one that comes with Lion?

I have a mac, In"Design CS 5.5, a design gave me a file said it was CS 6, does not open in CS 5.5..Message says "Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest versions, or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign." I think I need to buy upgrade from 5.5 to 6. I found one on NextTechDirect for $150 to download. they are not a scam according to "scamadvisor.com."
When I drag the InDesign file that that was supplied by another designer who said it was CS 6 onto my desktop it says CS 5.5. Is that because I only have CS 5.5?

I am running Acrobat Pro 9 (9.5.5). Do we have to purchase the new version if we have never upgraded? Or are we entitled to an upgrade to the latest version.
I am not really clear on the intention of your question. If you are going to get the latest version you are going to purchase it. When you go to purchase it you should be able to see if there is an option to purchase it as an upgrade from the version you currently have. I cannot find the purchase page to check myself... I can only find the subscription option.

Go to http://www.adobe.com and login with Adobe ID and then click on "Manage Account".

I have a MacBook pro that has power issues and will not start but the hardrive is fine. I do not want to lose all of my files so I was wondering if it's possible to transfer my hardrive from a older Macbook pro to a new one if I were to purchase a new one? Also, the software is not updated as the computer hasn't worked for about 2 months.
Also, if it is possible to transfer the hardrive, would my iTunes music transfer as well? It is not saved in the cloud.
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.You computer is probably perfectly repairable, but if you want a new one anyway, it is perfectly possible to transfer the data from the faulty one.
But it would be a mistake to simply put the old HD in the new computer.
These are the steps:
Remove Hard drive from faulty computer. (very easy on Unibody MBPs, do-able but not so easy on older MBPs)
Put it in a cheap enclosure
Connect it the new computer
Boot up new computer.
If the new computer has never been run before the Setup Assistant will ask if you want to import your apps, data, settings etc from either another mac, another HD connected to the Mac or a Time Machine back up.
Obviously chose the second option (another HD connected to this Mac) and follow prompts.
If the new computer has already been run (so Setup Assistant doesn't run when you boot it up), you will need to use Migration Assistant...or run the installer again so that Setup Assistant runs again.
