If you dropped it in water, and then plugged it in, you may very well have destroyed the battery and/or the logic board. Charging/plugging in to a power source is very damaging to wet electronic devices. There is not much you can do but replace the entire iPhone...and since you did repairs yourself Apple will not do an out-of-warranty replacement.
You can try replacing the battery, the lightning port is another issue, but I would not expect that iPhone to work again. -
I have a 64gb ipad mini that's been updated to iOS 7.0.4. Lately it's been shutting down in the middle of almost any app and the screen goes black and then the apple logo appears as if I've done a hard reset. I've tried both soft and hard resets but with no results. Sometimes thes happens several times in a row. Does anyone have any ideas? I did read discussions and close running apps to make sure there is enough memory. In the past this sort of happened (rarely) and it just left an app and went to the home screen, but this is a total shutdown.
I think you have covered most of everything that you could possibly do at this point other than restoring the iPad iOS software. That's what I would try now. If that doesn't fix it, make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask a genius to evaluate the problem for you.

What to do if you dont have an apple store near you for repairs.
Just curious as to what apple will do if you dont have an apple store near you and you have a defective device. My nearest apple store is 300 miles each way and after reading about some of the defects people have been seeing such as screens being scratched easily, loose screens, software problems etc.
Verizon is backordered so im sure they wouldnt be of any help.
So whats apples procedures for people not near an apple store to make an appointment.If you contact Apple Support, they can also ship you a replacement, if your device is eligible for service or Out-of Warranty repair.

I have 2 apple store accounts and this has resulted in 2 iTunes accounts with different TV show purchases. How can I get both on my AppleTV? It was suggested I sign out of the current active AppleTV account and sign in with the other. I can find no way to do this. Also, I have been advised by Apple that I cannot consolidate the two accounts.
I am certain you are doing backups of your TV shows on your computer in iTunes?! If not, do so. You should also make sure that you backup both accounts. Now, for your problem, you could combine the backups to one location then use your computer function on your Apple TV to watch all of your TV shows in one place. The only other way to watch both accounts is to actually go into account settings on your Apple TV and change the account info to the account you want to watch the TV shows in that account. Sounds awful, probably is.

I am considering purchasing a new Mac desktop. I have, at present, a Liteon 851S ext CD/DVD write and a Maxtor 3200 USB ext hard drive. Will these work with a Mac desktop? My local Apple store could not answer my question.Happy New year to all.
Yes the Mac can read that drive but you would need to Copy the data off of it to the Mac as apposed to Move, which implies Deleting them from the drive as they were transferred from the external to the Mac. Since the Mac can Not Write to NTFS drives it can't Delete anything as that is really a Write operation, IE Making changes to the NTFS formatted drive.
Once you have that Data on Both your New Mac and you Older Windows PC you can format that drive to work on both system.
If you want to and plan on doing that post back and I'll explane how, it is simple but should be done on a Windows PC.
If you only plan on using it on the Mac from now on that is fairly simple also and is done on the Mac, Once you have the files from it stored on the Mac.
Yes you could burn those photos to DVD but that is just a waste of DVDs, you don't need to. -

i have just dowloaded the icloud control panel on my PC and i am am able to see everything that has been pushed to icloud from my ipad. However i cannot see my email. i can send from the computer using icloud, but i do not see any mail that is being received by my ipad, which is set up with my mail server. What haven't i checked lol?
turn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them

I'm visiting new York(USA) for work on Sunday, just wanted to know if i can buy an un locked iphone from the apple store or not, since i'm not a resident, to the record we don't have an apple store at my country.
You can buy an unlocked iPhone at any of the 5 Apple stores in NYC. All are open on Sunday. Note a couple of things, however:
US iPhone 5's will work on 3G in the rest of the world, but not on LTE because the US phones use different channels than other countries
Be sure you say "unlocked", not "no contract"
If it breaks it must be returned to a US store for repair, and if shipped to Apple it must be from and to a US address -

Select the Zoom Tool in the tool box and see if Scrubby Zoom is unchecked or greyed out in the tool options bar.

I just bought a used XP Home Edition software program that has been installed before. I have the Product Key and installation disc. Will I be able to install it on my own computer? Or, is this software (purchased retail) a one time install? Please advise.
Depends on many things.
If your system is Lion, XP can only be installed under VM. BootCamp in Lion only accepts Windows 7.
As to "one use only", if you are referring to OEM ...
A reinstall can trigger the OS to "not register" because "a major component serial number or MAC (the network MAC chip) address" has changed, according to MS databases.
But you can call MS to get the key reactivated, usually/sometimes. It is worth a try, at least, before spending money on another Windows 7 package. But this discussion should end *now* at "maybe" as it treads close to matters that forum Terms-of-Use would prefer we not discuss. -

Audiobooks go in Music, not ibooks. Is the book you are talking about not an audiobook but an .epub or some other format where you read text? -

Just to confirm, you mean an iTunes card, not an Apple Store gift card, yes? They're two completely different things and not interchangeable.
Presuming you do indeed mean an iTunes card, are you certain your iPod is connected to the same iTunes Store account in which you redeemed the card?

I install the iCloud Control Panel and information is uploaded from my Outlook Contact folder to iCloud. ICloud folders are created and syncing process between my iPhone, iCloud, and Outlook works for a while (day or 2). Then, when I open Outlook after a day of 2, I get the above message that "The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened." The only resolve that I have found is to uninstall the iCloud Control Panel, the reboot my Windows computer, then reinstall the iCloud Control Panel and resync contacts and calendar to icloud. This is getting to be very cumbersome to use this feature. What is the cause of the problem that it keeps on disconnecting to iCloud?
I have also fixed it by uninstalling and then reinstalling iCloud, but as you have experienced, the problem recurs without reason. Apple would/could not help as they say that the problem is with Microsoft's Outlook and that I should talk to them. Microsoft's techies won't help without me paying some £200 as I have a Professional - a student's - version of Office 2007. This is scandalous. It is obvious, from the many who have reported the same problem n this forum, that Microsoft should look into this urgently and create a fix
