Hello everyone. I currently have an iphone which is part of a 3 people family plan; therefore we were told we need to use the same apple id. So my question is can I use my own apple id without affecting the fact we have a family plan? I would like to make my own app store purchases with my own credit card and not my sisters fiance since we are using his apple id. PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE!

If you have a backup of your information on your computer, I would suggest putting your phone into recovery mode, by holding down the home key and keeping it held down while you connect it by usb into your computer with itunes running. Keep the home button held down until it indicates recovery mode, and proceed with the restore.

When my wife bought this ipad 18 months ago, she (or the store) set up an Apple ID that had the extension @me.com. She never wrote down the password that was created. Neither of us knew how to change the password and retrieve or create the new one. When we started actually trying to download apps, this became a problem. She called customer support before the first year of ownership ended, and they created a new Apple ID. This ID works; we can go to the support site and log in with it, yada yada. However, when I go to the app store and want to get a new app or update an existing app, the Apple ID login field prepopulates with her original ID, which is no good to us. I can't find any way of putting in the new, valid Apple ID in this login field. Why doesn't the app store give me the option to change the Apple ID this device wants to use? How do I change this setting? I'm in a time crunch, and we need to be able to download and use a few apps for some business purposes.

click on apple ID listed there
select Sign Out
sign in with the proper account
from then on, when the store ask for your password it should be with the correct ID -

In order to make a purchase from one device download to another, you need to enable automatic downloads on that device at settings > store. -
The problem is that two of the songs stop in the middle of the track. I've been able to fix this easily with newer songs I've purchased. The songs are still in the iTunes Store, and I don't want to have to purchase them again, when it's clearly an error on iTunes part.
Any ideas?You'll have to migrate one of the phones to a different account, then delete the other person's data from each account (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
Decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't from each account. -

If you set it up on your iPhone before you lost it then you can sign into your iCloud account on a computer and attempt to locate it.

I'm updating my iphone 4. I can see that the update has been installed on the phone, but only for a second before it asks me to restore/back up from iCloud or iTunes, which I've done THREE times. It has to be something really simple...please HELP
Restore as a NEW device to test. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

I downloaded a movie on my Ipod touch useing my Ipod touch and I guess I was rushing through the download prosess that it glitched up but I would like to fix it without reseting it. I can see the movie in my videos but it is not in my purchases and now I cant even view it it says I dont have permmision to access it and it wont let me delete it by sliding my finger accross it. Help
Movies are not one of the items you can reload via iClould like apps, music, and some other items. You can contact iTunes and request a redownload,. They may give you one.

I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works. Hopefully, someone out there can help me?? Please?

2 users on imessage with the same apple id but setup so they messages can't be seen by each other
My kids are using my itunes account and they both just recently got ipod touches. They both use imessage but they can see each others messages. Is there a way to set it up so they can't see the messages for each other. I've got them setup with different email accounts so the emails are going to the right accounts, just need to separate the messages now. Please help me. Thank you.
This is not an area where I have any expertise, but you may want to consider using separate Apple IDs and using the recently released Family Sharing capabilities which still allow you to share your music and apps.

Problem - changed PC to one with Windows 8.1 ( previous from 2006 with Windos XP). Previously all ITunes stuff on an external harddrive as 80 gigs of music too much for the old PC
When attached Harddrive to new PC was told needed to install the new 64 bit iTunes as 32 bit iTunes not compatable.
Did so but only a very small portion of my music is showning - though rest of Library is still on the external drive in the folder.

Under iTunes Media though I do not have folders for Books,iPod Games, Mobile Applications, Movies, TV Shows so I only have Auto Add to iTunes, Music, Downloads and Podcasts - My question here is is this OK.
Next - Library files that you mention are there but do not end .itdb
Next - in the main iTunes folder followingon from Artwork and Media folders there is some other iTunes database stuff like Library Extras, Library Genius, Library and Music Library(xml) all dated 10/02/12 plus MimiPlayer .dll dated 21/02/14 and Set Up Short Cut dated22/03/14
AND there is also a Programme Files folder with a sub folder holding file folders called CD Configuration,iTunes Resources, iTunes Help Resources, iTunes Mini Player Resources and Mozilla Plugins all dated 24/03/14 ( when I downloaded the new iTunes) and then a lot of application extension stuff from 2011
To recap I unistalled the old 32 bit iTunes and installed the new 11.1.5 (64 bit) version over the weekend SO is any of the old stuff listed above required.
Outcome right now is that as previously I can only call up the Downloaded music not Podcats or CD copies.
