I have downloaded icloud to my Windows 8 PC and have tried using my Apple ID to sign in but it says it is not an icloud account ID

I have the same problem and unfortunately the only way to get an iCloud ID is to set one up on an Apple device that uses the Apple OS opperating system. If you don't own one, or can't qfford one, then you are simply shut out of using the iCloud. Does it suck? Yes. Is there any solution other than buying an Apple device? No.

It's not possible with Windows Phone 8. What's the point, a call is coming in and the phone allows you to answer.

In GarageBand 10.0.2 you can no longer add all kinds of effects freely; this GarageBand '11 feature has been discontinued. Pick one of the predefined patches that already has the effects you want.
However, you can add effects from the predefined audio units.
You'll see the predefined effects on the track, when you open the Smart Controls. To add audio units, click the button and enlarge the the smart controls pane by dragging the dividing line to the Track Area upwards.

Where do i find the classic hip hop remix ultrabeat setting in logic pro x, i have downloaded all drum kit additional content and have yet to see it. please help!

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. Like I say, the 64 bit Setup version is selected for me, and it runs error-free, but I seem to have no control or ability to force the installation of a 64 bit iTunes app. And all the iPhones are inoperative with the 32 bit version I have. I have another PC, which I have held at an earlier iTunes release. Although it's a notebook, it's identical in every other way (OS & installed utilities and apps) to the desktop that has developed the problem, and my iPhones work fine with it, although iTunes on it is at the earlier release, and I have no intention of upgrading that version until I understand and have corrected the problem.

This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64 bit version of iTunes.
That usually indicates that your Apple Mobile Device Support has not installed. That's also what is being shown by the diagnostics (the driver is there but the application isn't).
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
