I have downloaded newest version of itunes and now the itunes store will not open the bar gets about half full and doesnt go any further and i get no messages.
can anyone help with this issue
Even though you're using a later version of iTunes, I'd first try the following document:

I recently bought an Epson Artisan 837 printer. I installed the driver and now Photoshop from CS3 will not open. It closes every time it gets to the point where it is loading the Twain portion. Does anyone know how to fix this so my printer and Photoshop will work together? Thanks for any help I can get!

But, no, don't look to Epson for fixes to their driver in newer versions, and Adobe has deprecated the TWAIN plug-in. Hoping for a solution there is futile. That has not happened and it's never going to happen. The consensus is that it's pretty foolish to tie up Photoshop to scan. Honestly.
Any improvement in the behavior of newer versions of the Epson drivers in that regard would be pure coincidence.
You need to understand that you never, ever scan "within" Photoshop, as Photoshop has no scanning capabilities whatsoever. When you use the Import > Twain plug-in all you are doing is blocking Photoshop while you call up the stand-alone Epson scanning software. If you think about it, its most inefficient.
VueScan has a pretty powerful scanning plug-in that can be called from the Impost menu—if you insist. VueScan is not free, but it's a pretty good value, IMO.
As for the Epson CD printing software, I have no clue. Sorry. -

You need to buy Pages 09 and also update the MacOs to 10.6.8 (atcually at least 10.6.6).
I recomend that you first download the 10.6.8 Combo update. It is huge and takes a while to get on the computer. You do not want to do it trough software update it you don't have the speediest connection. Use this link http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
The after the system updating you can go to the AppStore (app will be under the in the menu) and buy Pages 09 (version4.1) or to the Apple store and buy iWork '09 (which you then have to do updates on) -
I downloaded os x mavericks and now ms word 2011 will not open.
I downloaded OS X Mavericks and now my MS Word 2011 will not open. My MS Office is not new. The only thing new is Mavericks. If someone can, please help me get Word working again. Excel and Powerpoint are working fine. My previous system was Lion, which worked wonderfully in every way. I did not need a cloud for anything. I feel as though I am now in the fog.
I was able to find some relevant postings after I asked for help and one of them said to restart my mac again. I did so and this allowed my Java to find the path it needed to complete the update required to run Word. Thankfully I do not have to remove MS Office at this time, but I appreciate the advice. If it starts giving me problems again, I will go through the steps you advised. Thanks!

Thank you for your replies to my Zip Drive question. I too cannot understand what happened. Up until I upgraded to Lion OS 10.7.2, I was able to use my 100 Zip Drive. Now it will not open any of these Zip disks. The Zip takes the disk, green light goes on but it never registers on the desktop nor opens upUp until I upgraded to Lion OS 10.7.2, I was able to use my 100 Zip Drive.
But what were you running before you upgraded? I'd say your problem is that you don't have any Zip Drivers that are compatible with Mac OS X 10.7. If they even exist, you'd find them on the Iomega site. But the last ones they have are for 10.3 and 10.4, so that doesn't bode well for any support.
If I were you, I'd post a question in the Iomega Support forums about this problem and whether or not (and how) you can get your Zip drive to work on 10.7.

I dropped my external HD on my hard tile floor and now the drive is not working properly. I have tried a repair in Disc Ultilies with First Aid with no such luck. It started to work then I got a message "Filesystem verify or repair failed" about 3-4 minutes into the first aid repair disk. When I plug in I get the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer message. Please I need help on restoring this drive!
Its a simple tech pro drive 1TB.Unfortunately, a drive that has been mechanically damaged by a drop and can't be repaired using Disk Utility probably can't be fixed any other way either. The best you can hope for is to salvage as much data from the drive as possible using one of the data recovery utilities linked below, and then replace the drive.

Not sure whether for instance you initially had a Yahoo optimised version of Firefox, and have now overwritten it with an official Mozilla version. Although the Mozilla version should NOT add unwanted features, but the Yahoo version may well do.
If you merely need to find the Yahoo emails page quickly just add it as a bookmark or as a bookmark on the Bookmarks toolbar and make sure that is visible.
Clicking the star icon on the location bar whilst looking at your emails will bookmark the page.

I hav an Imac and all of a sudden I cannot ope most apple programs like Iphoto. when I try to update the software I cannot open software update nor the app store.
Since this problem occurred, have you shut down (powered off) and restarted your iMac?

so maybe im stupid.... yes... i am! but #3 on backing up tells me to: 3.Choose File > Devices > Back up. .....but choose file from where? i go to itunes... cant find where to sign in. have downloaded newest version. i used to backup on this computer... its been so long because my IT guy at the office used to do it for me and i havent done itfrom this computer in a loooong time.
