On my laptop i had itunes but recently i needed to delete everything on my laptop including itunes. When i went to update the music on my iphone i re downloaded itunes but when i plug in my iphone a message pops up saying my phone is connected to another itunes library. When i clicked sync it says that i have an option to erase and re sync my iphone. I dont really care about loosing my music but i dont want to lose all my pictures on my iphone. Is there anything i can do to keep them?
Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices. -

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

check if you have read & write permissions for your music folder. in the finder, right-click on it and get info. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings if necessary. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and apply to enclosed items like so

The most recent iTunes version (iTunes 12.0.1) requires OS X Lion or higher, so you have to upgrade OS X to a higher operating system like OS X Yosemite.

iTunes compelled me to download the latest version, before I could complete a transaction (which, needless to say, was botched). I have Windows XP, and I cannot open iTunes now without freezing or crashing my computer. This is utterly frustrating, since I can't even play any holiday music, much less update my iPod.
Can I uninstall, and reinstall the older version? I do not need all the bells and whistles, and I detest the new format (even if it were to run on my computer)?
I'd love to be able to access my Xmas playlist someday.What didn't work? Removing everything or just the older version of Bonjour? Did you follow the instructions in the link I provided above to walk you through the process?
Perhaps it would be a better idea to post this in the iTunes forums, since it is an issue with iTunes and your iPod Shuffle.

I have Windows 7 and I just installed the newest version of iTunes on my PC. Now whenever I try to open iTunes an error message comes up that the file is corrupt or wasn't installed properly. How do I reinstall the update or fix the problem?

I installed a new version of iTunes on my Vista comuter and iTunes will not open due to a Data Execution Prevention issue. How cam I fix this?
I just got off the phone with senior level support at apple. There are two things she had me do to fix this problem.
1. Uninstall itunes and then re-install version 10.7 from the apple website here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/
2. Then go here: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl837, this will take you to the Quick-time version 7.7.3 for Windows page, download & install this version. You will need to reboot after this install and once you have finished you should have no problems opening Itunes. -

Just upgraded my mac book pro to the lion operating system, the next day my printer broke. Went to buy a new printer that supports AirPrint because I also have an iPad ( my old printer did NOT support AirPrint ). The printer I bought is an HP that said it supported AirPrint, when I installed the printer and try to run the installation software it said the printer did not support lion. Any answers or suggestions, I would LOVE to be able to finally print from my iPad.
Check with HP whether the printer and/or printer driver is compatible with Lion. Any hint as to what printer?

I ran the install exe file for firefox4.0 with 3.57 already installed. It seemed to go fine. It came to the dialogue box saying reboot required to finish installation. I have rebooted several times and keep getting the final reboot dialogue box. I also attempted to reinstall but after the first install screen I get the same dialogue box asking to reboot. Reboot is not recognized. I cannot remove either 3.57 or 4.o without getting the dialogue box saying installation/update needs reboot to finish. When I reboot I get the same box again. What's stuck?

I am trying to download the latest version of iTunes to my PC and when it is in the "installing" phase, it just "sits" there, nothing happening. If I cancel, my iTunes disappears and I have to restore to an earlier date to see it again. What is wrong?
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
