I have Firefox 4.0 Beta 6 on my system and Beta 9 was installed, now both are oon desktop neither show on Start menu and Add/Remove list only shows Beta 6 but will not remove it.
Had a problem yesterday and Google chrome replaced Firefox as my default browser without my knowledge. I removed Chrome from my system and can use Firefox. I have two icons for Firefox on my quick launch toolbar one says Beta6 the other Beta9 but both launch Beta 9 but my Add/Remove programs shows only Beta6 and will not remove it. It seems Beta9 is the only version on my system but was not updated in my Start menu.
If you updated from the beta 6 version to the beta 9 version then the beta 9 version has replaced the previous beta version. It can happen that the uninstall registry key of older versions isn't updated or removed and that seems to have happened in your case. So you have only the beta 9 version installed and an orphaned entry to uninstall the beta 6 version.
If you are comfortable in editing the registry then you can remove that entry.Otherwise it is better to leave it.<br />

This is how it works.
Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -
How do i restore my wifi setting back to the factory settings? I have changed it somehow :/ and now my wifi will not connect. My Airport is on and showing full strength but will not connect.
Ok, if other devices are connecting but just not your MacBook then let's start troubleshooting the MacBook to possibly find out why.
Please try each of the following, in order, until hopefully resolved:
Note the following are excerpts from an OS X Daily article.
* Turn Airport on & off – You can do this via the Airport menu bar or from the Network Preferences. This is the first thing you should try when troubleshooting Mac wireless problems.
* Make sure Wireless/Airport card software & firmware is up to date – This is usually done just by going to the Software Update menu, if there are any updates available for your Mac or Airport, install them.
* Delete and recreate connection – Try deleting and recreating/reestablishing the wireless connection, sometimes a setting can be corrupted and this may fix it.
* Create a new Network Location – Similar to the above suggestion, try creating a new and different wireless network location to see if it resolves the connection problems.
* Change DHCP auto settings to manual – sometimes there is a problem with the DHCP server, and if you manually set an IP address on the network you can be fine. Remember to set the IP to a high number so it wouldn’t interfere with other DHCP machines. As long as you have the subnet mask, router, and DNS settings configured manually as well, this shouldn’t be a problem.
* Flush the DNS cache – Launch the Terminal and enter the following command onto one full line within the Terminal: dscacheutil -flushcache
* Zap the PRAM – Reboot your Mac and hold Command+Option+P+R during restart until you hear another chime, let the Mac boot as usual.
* Delete Wireless Config files – Delete com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist and com.apple.internetconfig.plist files from ~/Library/Preferences and reboot
* Trash your home directories SystemConfiguration – Remove all files within ~/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ and then reboot your Mac.
* Reset your Mac’s System Management Controller (SMC) – For MacBook and MacBook Pro’s: Shutdown the MacBook/Pro, remove the battery, disconnect the power, hold the Power Key for 15 seconds. Replace the battery, reconnect power, and zap the PRAM and wait for 2 chimes before letting the keys go. Let boot as usual. -
I purchased music on my iPad (and it works fine). It populated my purchased list on my home computer but will not download (purchase is no longer a given option) ?? when I access it in the iTunes store I can click on play but nothing happens…how do I get it to download on my computer ?
If you connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases then it should copy over to your iTunes library. Depending upon what country that you are in you might also be able to redownload it on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage.

I can not get the iPad to connect to the internet thru the router it shows the modum but will not connect it keeps saying choose a netwokand the IP Address it automaticaly puts in is wrong?

Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

Calendar schedule blank. All appts disappeared from 3g iphone calendar synced to yahoo. After Yahoo corrected error message on their website and I re-synced my iphone, calendar reappears but will not allow edit from iphone. I can't find settings within Yahoo or within my iphone to alter editing options.
How can I get access to edit and delete the Yahoo calendar from my iphone? I never schedule anything from the Yahoo webpage. All my appointments and reminders are scheduled from the iphone.
iOS 4.2.1 (8C148a)My Yahoo email account worked just fine on my iPhone 4S for the last 2 months. Then this morning I started receiving the apple.imap.mail,yahoo error. I tried all of the steps above in solving the yahoo email issue including numerous hard re-sets and deletions of my yahoo account settings without any success. So I gave up trying to use the default Yahoo setup option. I added my Yahoo account back as an "other" type email account and then had the option to choose to set it up as a "POP" account instead of an IMAP type. I then just used the server settings recommended from Yahoo Help for a Yahoo Plus Email POP (or just google yahoo plus email pop settings). This works and I am back in business.
I'm not sure if this will work for yahoo mail classic accounts.
Frustrating that this issue seems to have been going on for quite awhile and Apple still as not made any acknowledgement of this issue or proposed a fix for those of us that can not resolve the issue with a reset. -
Airport shows being connected but will not connect to internet
Airport will not connect to internet yet shows me as connected.
When and if I do get connected, I will loose the connection and unable to access the internet.
This has happened using several different wireless locations.

Connecting to your wireless network and connecting to the Internet are two different parts of the connection process.
If you open your Network preferences panel does it show you have an IP address of the form 169.x.x.x? -
Bumping this thread as my daughter's Zen V is doing the same. The blue light flashes when the on/standby button is held on but it doesn't actually start up. Is this a hardware failure? She's only had it 3 months.
Thanks, I figured it out. I remembered that I had to reset my ZEN when I first received this refurbished model. I reset it, and it worked. I still am having problems downloading from my audible book to my ZEN. I have over 4 GB left on my ZEN and it will not download for me from my audible files. I am trying to avoid calling tech support. Can anyone help.

Shows being connected, but will not run
I have (2) I-pads in the house and after coming home from a long weekend both show that they are connected in the settings wi-fi but both will not run any wi-fi programs. I have Mac computer that works fine and my I-phoneG-3 works fine, all which worked ok before we left for the long weekend. I have turned off the I-Pads to reboot and still does not connected. Need Help!

Itunes is showing as open but will not open the folder nor will it close
I keep itunes on an external hard drive and when I switched on my mac, itunes was lit up in the dock but would not open or close. I unlocked the hard drive and itunes would still not respond. Last week i upgraded to os 10.8.5 and updated itunes to 11.1.1. It all seemed fine at the time although itunes match would always fail at stage 3. I don't knwo if that's connected or another issue. Happening to many users, me too - I suspect a server problem. Wait a day or use itunes to update, I was able to do that.

AppleCare tried to help, but since Safari is working fine on both accounts, they said the problem was with Firefox on the personal account and they could not help me any further than what they already tried I do not want to lost it on my business account as well.
Try using Firefox's Safe Mode to disable the add-on.
First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, start Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode] and temporarily disable add-ons so you can uninstall the problem one.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

There is a badge with the number 1 on my "App Store" icon, but when I go to see what needs to be updated, the App Store does not display the app that has an update nor does it say that there are no updates available. Basically the place that tells me these things, is completely blank. I have the word "Updates" at the top of the screen and I can see an icon on the bottom right corner area that has the cirlce with a down arrow and the word "Updates" with a badge with the number 1 in it.
The iPad 2 has 6.1.2 for the iOS. I have already closed the app out completely by closing the app in the multitasking section and then restarting it. This does not correct the issue. I have also restarted the iPad 2, however this did not correct the issue either.
If anyone has seen this and knows it is a glitch in the software, and that Apple is aware of it, please let me know. If anyone knows how to correct this, please let me know. Thanks.The update server is down; try this temporary workaround
