I have had to reinstall adobe acrobat 8 and cant activate the product

i have had to reinstall adobe acrobat 8 on a pc as it was rebuilt and no cant activate it.
The phone activation is no longer active and i get an error code 159:41 internet connection not detected when i try to activate over the internet.
the user is on windows 7 and they have a proxy but I have tried putting in the proxy settings and I still cant get it to activate.
Any help please? As the user cant use the product now as the trial period has ran out

I don't know if your on a Mac or a PC.
So you need to locate the Font cache file for Acrobat (make sure Acrobat is quit) and remove to Trash/Wastebasket.
and empty. The open Acrobat back up and the font cache file should rebuild. If your on a Mac the simpliest way is use a Utility called fontnuke and have it remove all Font caches.
Font cahces frequently corrupt as they are in constant use. Mayb Windows machines have something similar as Font Nuke.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required.
If you cannot get this information from the seller
Removing a device from a previous owner’s account
You need to return the Device for a refund, as you will not be able to re-activate it.

I a not a technology person at 66 but i am learning. Now I am unable to click on pdf files and open them like before. Only way to open is to right click and use reader to open. Before new system was installed I had adobe shortcut on browser tool bar and in file had: convert to pdf. Everything gone now. Any answers or help. acrobat x is only 3 months old

Hi,
It seems that Acrobatder has not been set as default to view the pdf files.
Right click on the pdf file and go to 'Properties'.
Under 'General' tab, opens with > click on 'change' button
A new window called 'open with' would pop up on screen asking you to choose the program to open the file.
Select Acrobat and at the bottom make sure 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file' is checked and then click on 'Ok'
This should set Acrobat as the default program to launch the pdf files.

The disk 2 usually is meant for Acrobat 9. You can insert the disc and check for yourself.

I have had to reinstall 3 times and I still cant open photoshop

When I first installed Photoshop, I was able to open and only edit one photo. Once I turned on my computer to start editing again, it told me that I would have to uninstall and reinstall the program, so I did that. Then I would click to open it and it would come up to where it says "Organize" or "Edit" I then click on edit and then that goes away and the program does not open. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled the program again and it is still doing the same thing. Need help!!!

I still have not been able to open my Adobe Photoshop, do you have any suggestions on why this is happening?? I am using windows. The very fist time I installed it, I was able to open and only edit one picture, but then got busy with something else and closed the program. After that I have not been able to open it at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled like 5 times and still no luck. I would call customer support but it says they charge for support and I really do not want to pay if it is something simple to solve.

I had to rebuild my hard drive due t a failed test of Windows 10. I had a fully installed and activated version of CS6 which I purchased as a student and have been using.
Due to my computer failure I don't the code Adobe sent to me. I have tried to contact them in their accounts area to get a new code and \keep going around in a loop.
On the old drive the program was activated as part of my Cloud, but has now disappeared. How do I rech them to fix this / get my licence number back

There is no difference between the trial and the already bought version - they are the same software. Your serial number can be used to convert the trial to the full version.
