If you have a free Yahoo account, access from a mail client is not supported, according to Yahoo. It may work sometimes, but not consistently. You need a paid account. A free account is accessible only through the webmail interface.
You might be able to get Mail working temporarily with a free account by logging in to the webmail interface and confirming your identity, if prompted to do so.

my iphone 4s fell and display went blank,and when i restarted it shows a USB on display asking to connect with itunes,instead i went to a phone repair shop where they service iphones too.First they said that they have to install the IOS4 again in it but they could not do so due to an error so later they asked me whether they should install IOS5 i agreed but it only happened after a long struggle yet the phone remains in the same state with the display showing USB asking to connect with itunes..they could not fix it..please help me..:(
What's there to help? You dropped your phone and now it's broken. You'll have to bring your phone into Apple for an out of warranty exchange. If you purchased Apple Care+ is will cost $49.00, if not, it will be $199.00

Hi can anyone help - i passed on my old iphone 3gs to my son,who had it unlocked in a shop so couldnt update software i asked Tesco to unlock properly they sent two emails saying they had conteacted apple it was not unlocked so plkug it in to itunes and it would say unlocked - it didnt unlock so I asked in the apple store who said to try to restore it which i did but now thw phone wont activate -it sats no sim and even though i went and got a new tesco sim it is stillsaying no sim and wont activate
all help appreciatedWas this officially unlocked legally by the phone carrier that the phone was locked to?
If not it sounds like the phone was hacked to unlocked and when you updated the phone it locked backed up again. -

Clear Safari. Close Safari. Reset your iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Safari app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Called in to Apple as my iphone 4 suddenly started showing grey lines across the right 3/4 of the screen. Apple help told me to backup and restore which I did. Once I restored I got a message saying that my iphone could not be identified????

So very excited bought iPad and new speakers today! Want to get all my music sorted as across iMac (G5), MacBook os 10.6 (maxed out ram and memory) and old iPod. Saw Match would be an option but can't use due to old OS so I can get the raw music library files but then what do I do to get all in one place? Any help appreciated.
A good route would be to attach a USB drive to the macbook. You can use the drive to assemble a copy of all of your music from your various devices. iTunes on the macbook can be used to create a new library, located on the USB drive, into which you can import all of your music.
Two major benefits:
1. From here you can run iTunes Match across your entire music collection; and
2. You will have created a full local backup of all of your music on the USB drive.
Once complete you will be able to access the music from any iDevice capable of running iTunes Match, Do remember as you add music it is important to maintain a local backup in order to keep your music safe. -

I also tried taking it apart to see if something was loose but nothing was. PLEASE HELP I don't want to get rid of my iphone!

If you don't have Applecare you can usually get a refurbished unit from an Apple Retail Store cut price - though they may not have any 3 models in stock and you may be 'forced' to upgrade to a 3GS. -

ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Most have restrictions in that you must be a current customer and have maintained service for a minimum period of time. Do yourself a favor, sell it and purchase a phone in India instead.
