I have just created an apple id. Will this now allow me to backup to icloud?
The apple id on my 4s is my husband's as he bought the phone. Everytime I imessage or someone imessages me, it comes up on his ipad, but not on my phone. He told me I had to create an apple id of my own for the phone. I have done this but how do I have it linked to my phone?
Also, will this then allow me to backup to icloud? Have not been able to backup since august, when I bought phone as there is not enough storage space on icloud, but figured this was because it was trying to use his id.
Any suggestions?
Restore the Phone as New... Then Set it up using your Apple ID.

I have just created an Apple Id for itunes, it is allowing me to get to the debit card stage but they no longer accept Visa Debit, there is no other option for me as i dont have any other cards and there isnt a 'none' option! HELP!!
How did you create the account ? Unless you followed the instructions on the page that you post from exactly then you won't get the 'none' option and you will need to enter payment details - those instructions won't work on existing accounts.
I tried those instructions a week ago in response to another thread and I got the 'none' option on it e.g. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of my existing account, found a free app in the store, clicked on its 'free' price, clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup, and after agreeing to the terms and filling in my details I was able to select 'none' as my payment option and download a free app with it. -
have just created my Apple ID on my MacBook Air and I wanted to activate my Face Time. When signing in on Face Time, it keeps saying "The server encountered an error in processing registration. Try later". Can someone please help me?

Hi, I'm a pc user and am trying to access an ical via the icloud. This ical houses information about work etc and it is quite important that I can gain access to it. To that end I have created an apple id and password and downloaded the icloud for the pc. However , when I get to the sign in page and use my apple id, I get a message to the effect that my apple id is ok, but its no good for an icloud account/ or I dont have an icloud account. I've trawled thru lots of help pages and nothing points me in the right direction. I've been on this for over 3 hours today and getting nowhere....Can somebody please help, I'm starting to lose the will to live over this

I have just ordered a mac pro , will this be ok for some app development work ?
I am very new , had pc's all my life and expecting my first mac next week , I have wanting to get into app development and really wanted to know if the mac pro will be able to cut it ?

Be sure to max out the physical ram and use a fast hd. Also hang as many monitors on it as you can...the bigger the better.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED ANOTHER IPHONE. MY INTERNET IS NOT WORKING. I JUST CREATED AN APPLE ID. WHAT'S NEXT? I NOW HAVE TWO DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS WITH DIFFERENT USER NAMES. HOW CAN I USE ONLY ONE ACCOUNT FOR ITUNES, ICLOUD APPLE ID ETC???

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID. -
I have 2 iPhones sharing an apple ID (mine and my partner). we have just created separate ID's now that family sharing is available. but the partner's ID wouldn't let her update apps purchased on my ID! Help Please
This is happening to me also but only with certain apps. The message I get with the apps that won't update is "Update Unavailable with This Apple ID. This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled".

Arghh!! I am literally about to throw my new iPad out of a window - apple is driving me beyond crazy. I have an old iTunes account to which all my music is saved. I have just created a new apple id and want that to be the one that my iTunes account references - it won't let me change my old email to this as it says my new apple I'd is sychd to another account. How do I do it? Am desperate!
Delete them and then download them from the desired Apple ID. This may require repurchasing paid applications.

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps. -

How did you create the account ? If you followed the instructions on this page when creating it then you should have got the 'none' option : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
e.g. on a computer's iTunes, if currently signed into an account then you logged out of it, and you then found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :

When I tried that process to create an account a few days ago I got the 'none' option on the payment details screen.
If you didn't use that process then you will need to create a new account using it (the instructions won't work with an existing account). -
Can someone please just help me figure out how to update this stupid phone(iPhone 4)without losing anything? I somehow have more than one Apple ID on this,but I just want my music and my pictures to stay and I'm terrified of losing these things. I have exceeded creating Free Apple ID account on my device
Upon activation of my ipod touch 4 last year, i have several errors encountered in creating my apple ID account. As I remember, I have created 3 accounts without verifications. Today, I was about to create another one because I will be using my activated apple account on my iphone, my device prompted me that I already exceeded creation Free apple Id account on my device (ipod). What advice can you give me regarding this? Thanks!
And what do I have to do if I am the 5-th owner of the device, and each of the previous owners have been created an apple ID for themeselves. WHAT TO DO NOW ? Shouldn't I have my own ID ?
