You're gonna have fun with this because the HSL qualifiers probably won't see much separation between the areas that you want to isolate. You could try combinations of turning off Hue, Saturation, or Luminance. See what you get.

I purchased Adobe Design Standard in June 1993 and have not downloaded it until now. when I click on the software on my account there is no download button. Which version of Design Standard are you asking about? I don't think any Creative Suite packages existed in 1993. I think the first CS came out in 2003.

Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though. -

Trying to update my iphone to v.5.1.1 however it downloads the version but just at the end of updating my phone I get the message: iTunes could not back up the iphone as the back up was corrupt or not compatible.

ThanksThe backup and restore from the iCloud was a little unnerving since the restore erased all information from the iPod. The iCloud backup and restore took a long time, but worked. I was very grateful.
Trying again to backup to iTunes locally proved to be the same challenging problem. The same backup to corrupt file was the message. The status bar showing backup seemed to move faster to start, but then slowed to a creep toward the end before the error.
When trying to restore a backup in iTunes, the "Restore" button is grayed out since it is looking for a local copy. Any restore would need to be from the iCloud which already worked but isn't the final solution.
Your suggestions were good, I am just in the same boat. Any thoughts about doing the following?
1) creating a cloud backup
2) resetting the iPod to factory defaults
3) removing all traces of iTunes from my computer and
4) installing iTunes and setting up iPod from scratch.

I have wireless keyboard and a new magic mouse. I want to enter data into a Christmas list app on my 3GS iPhone. Too time consuming to just type on iPhone keyboard. How can I get keyboard and mouse to be 'connected' or recognized by my iPhone? I have Bluetooth "on" in my iPhone.
You cannot connect the mouse. This is not a feature of iphone

Now I have downloaded firefox 4 it won't let me do this anymore so I would like to stop version 4 and go back to the old version which allowed me access to the live betting prices on Sporting IndexUse the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -

I have been trying to use automater to play two movies that are a series bak to back but it would not do it. I selected the movies, selected program, how many times to loop and to be in full sceen, but still no luck. I would think this would be a simple thing to do in either qt pro or qtx, qt being quicktime just in case fyi... Anyone know how to do this. I have both players. And perien, divx, etc.

in the past all I had to do was single click on the previous sites I had visited and they would open up. Now that I have updated to 4.0 I click on them but they do not appear in the google window. I tried to copy and paste to main search bar but they will not let me paste either .

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox menu button if the Menu Bar is hidden.

You can hide or make the Menu bar visible via View > Toolbars or via Firefox > Options or right-click a toolbar.

Is it possible to open a tdms file and make a small change an an array subset then save the file without having to save the whole dataset as a different file with a new name? That is to say, is there something similar to "Save" in MS Word rather than "Save As"... I only want to change a 1D array of four data points in a file of 7M data points.
I am not sure if this make sense? Any help is apreciated.

JackYou can use either one, but for your application, I would use the synchronous. It requires far less setup. When you open the file, set both enable asynchronous and disable buffering to FALSE to enable you to use synchronous with arbitrary data sizes.

If you are using a Virtual Machine like Vmware you should check with Vmware to see what versions of Windows run in their virtual machine. It is not Windows that has to be compatible with your Apple computer when using a virtual machine, it is the virtual machine version that must be compatible.

I just migrated all my old data from an external hd onto my new MacBook. I see my website data, and I put it in the Sites folder, but opening iWeb prompts me to start a new website. How do I continue working on my website, i.e., open my old files in iWeb?
Thanks!iWeb '08 stores your website data in a domain.sites2 file located in Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb.
You need to copy this to the same location on your new Mac and then double click the domain file to launch iWeb for the first time only. After that you can launch your site from the application.
If you open a new site in iWeb first you can save the blank domain file in a new folder for starting new sites.
