Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice.

I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

Connect the iPhone to your Mac, launch iTunes.
If you haven't done this yet, go to the iTunes menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer
Now from the iTunes menu bar again, click File / Transfer Purchases From...

If you want it to maybe happen some of the time, if people use the right browser and software and system, you can use JavaScript.
If you want it to happen reliably, you need server software to add the stamp before the file is served, integrated into your web site's CGI/ASP/PHP or whatever. Probably not an option with shared hosting.

Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

Let me explain:
In the clock app for ios 6.0.2 I am a little confused. It allows you to go into your music library, and create a ringtone using any songs you choose. However, I cannot find a way to remove a song from this list, just like I cannot delete one of the preset ringtones (which I'm not trying to do, but just as an example)

I believe you just are able to delete them from iTunes.

Itunes doesn't add all the songs from my library

Had to reinstall Itunes and now the program doesn't add all the songs from my library (roughly 4,000 songs). All that is added is maybe 20 songs, and always the same ones. It has worked perfectly before.
I have tried to "pull" all the artist folders into the Itunes window, but it doesn't work. I have tried to set another folder as the Itunes library and then choose "add new folder", but only those 20 songs are added. I have made sure so that none of the files are copy protected or "read-only".

Ok, I deleted the two files and upon startup iTunes did run that search wizard for music files. However, it only found 4 songs that are located on local harddisks, and did not (as far as I could see on the network status) even try to search on the network harddisk.
One more thing though, that I forgot to mention before. I tried to solve this situation by installing an earlier version of iTunes... 4.6 i think, but when I tried to run the program it told me something like "Cannot read the file iTunes library.itl since it was created by a later version of iTunes". Where can i find that file, and should i remove it and try to add the songs with iTunes 4.6 instead?

As of right now there is no way to combine Apple accounts.
As for "sharing", you can go into the iTunes settings for each and turn on Home Sharing, this will make your music libraries available to each other, provided you are both using different computers.

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. Yes, but your iTunes library won't automatically show up on a different computer; putting it there is a separate process.

There are two parts to this:
1) It may be that you should have an Apple Education Support person helping you with this. If you have enough computers for this to be a problem, you may benefit from a Server, a site license, and an occasional visit from an Education Support Specialist.
2) The brief answer, if you want Individual Apple_IDs to control each computer, is to buy new copies of Mac OS X under those new Apple_IDs and re-download and re-Install. Mac OS X is customized to the Apple_ID before it is downloaded.
