Hi,
Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://h30642.www3.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59501-60000/sp59852.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, shut down the notebook - do this by holding down the left Shift key as you click on Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.
Then unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' ( or Speakers/HP ) once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

  • Why is the sound low on my Ipod?  When I have my earbuds in I have to have the volume almost all the way up.  I have the volume limit maxed out also.  Same thing when I plug it into a boombox

Why does my Ipod play at a low volume?  When I have my earbuds in I have to have it at almost full volume, and when I plug it into a boombox it doesn't play as loud as the radio or a cd.  I have the volume limit turned all the way up in the settings also.  All my songs on my Ipod were burned from cd's(if that helps) thanks.

Sorry, I have the same issue.
So far searching threads here is not coming up with anything.
I have set aside my restore discs, to start the process of ripping the drive clean.
I tried Omni Sweep, but all it did was confirm the space I counted up.
Still does not show what's hidding. 113GB worth on mine.
That software really boggs down the system.
I could not load an email with it running.
    Good LUck as well.

Have no volume at all  help?

    Hello Strangers1,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning audio issues:
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact Apple Support.

  • I have an iPad 2 and all of a sudden I have no sound in game apps. I have usual volume in videos and YouTube, I do get volume for games if I plug in headphones. I have switched to screen lock off and on again and I have also done a reset twice.....help :)

I have an ipad2 and all of a sudden I have stopped getting sound in my game apps. I get normal sound on YouTube and I player and downloaded DVDs. If I plug headphones in then I can get sounds for the games. I have switched the lock screen button off and on again and done a reset twice, can anyone help me with this?

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap on General
    3. Tap on Reset
    4. Tap on Reset All Settings

  • My iPad 1 does not make any of the sounds (key clicking, etc) I have directed it to despite having volume turned all the way up...any thoughts?

Check to see if the "silent" switch is turned on. This is either the hardware switch next to the volume control or a software switch on the "recent apps" tray depending on how you have your iPad configured (Settings > General).
Too see the software switch on the "recent apps" tray double-click the Home button and swipe the tray to the right.

I have done as you asked and it is still the same.
I have also previously "flattened" my playbook several times in the hopes my sound settings would be reset.
Is there nothing like a diagnostics app or an app/interface to be able to manually change options such as sound outputs.
If there is not please make one as it would be very much appreciated.
I have tried downgrading the os aswell. I have never had the audio switch to the speakers.
Something has been "switched" and will not reset by os change or updates.
    ::Edit::
I have tried the new 201 update and it did no correction to audio or the availability of a manual output option.
    ::End Edit::
I am asking that a manual option be made available to force output changes. if this was possible I would know if it is software or hardware related.
I also want to make it very clear that I am highly disappointed with this glitch. your tablet would be #1 in my eyes otherwise..  I want my sound back RiM, make it work.
Based on the above i think you might have a hardware issue and only a call to support will get it addressed.
it does have a 1 year warranty on it by RIM. Place of purchase might be 30 days or longer depending on where you bought it from.

    Hello PaulH.Reed,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with audio issues. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
Follow these steps and test the sound after each one.
Go to Settings > Sounds and drag the Ringer And Alerts slider to turn the volume up.
If you can hear sound from the speaker, then the speaker works. Continue with these steps to find the setting or switch that's affecting the sound. If you can't hear sound from the speaker, contact Apple Support.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is set to ring. If you can see orange, it's set to silent.
    Restart your device.
Open an app that has music or sound effects. Adjust the volume with the volume buttons or the slider in Control Center.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth.
If there's still no sound, connect a headset. If you can hear sound through the headset, remove it and clear any dust or debris from the headset jack of your device.
If the device is in a case, make sure that the case doesn't block the speaker.
Use a brush to gently clear any debris from the speaker and Lightning connector (or 30-pin dock connector). The brush should be clean and dry and have soft bristles.
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
If you followed these steps and still hear no sound or distorted sound, contact Apple Support.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

  • In Bdc I have huge volume of data to upload for the given transaction

    Hi gurus,
In Bdc I have huge volume of data to upload for the given transaction, here am using session method, it takes lots of exection time to complete the whole transaction, Is there any other method to process the huge volume with minimum time,
    reward awaiting
    with regards
    Thambe

Selection of BDC Method depends on the type of the requirement you have. But you can decide which one will suite requirement basing the difference between the two methods. The following are the differences between Session & Call Transaction.
    Session method.
    1) synchronous processing.
    2) can tranfer large amount of data.
    3) processing is slower.
    4) error log is created
    5) data is not updated until session is processed.
    Call transaction.
    1) asynchronous processing
    2) can transfer small amount of data
    3) processing is faster.
    4) errors need to be handled explicitly
    5) data is updated automatically
Batch Data Communication (BDC) is the oldest batch interfacing technique that SAP provided since the early versions of R/3. BDC is not a typical integration tool, in the sense that, it can be only be used for uploading data into R/3 and so it is
    not bi-directional.
BDC works on the principle of simulating user input for transactional screen, via an ABAP program.
Typically the input comes in the form of a flat file. The ABAP program reads this file and formats the input data screen by screen into an internal table (BDCDATA). The transaction is then started using this internal table as the input and executed in the background.
In ‘Call Transaction’, the transactions are triggered at the time of processing itself and so the ABAP program must do the error handling. It can also be used for real-time interfaces and custom error handling & logging features. Whereas in
Batch Input Sessions, the ABAP program creates a session with all the transactional data, and this session can be viewed, scheduled and processed (using Transaction SM35) at a later time. The latter technique has a built-in error processing mechanism too.
Batch Input (BI) programs still use the classical BDC approach but doesn’t require an ABAP program to be written to format the BDCDATA. The user has to format the data using predefined structures and store it in a flat file. The BI program then reads this and invokes the transaction mentioned in the header record of the file.
Direct Input (DI) programs work exactly similar to BI programs. But the only difference is, instead of processing screens they validate fields and directly load the data into tables using standard function modules. For this reason, DI programs are much faster (RMDATIND - Material Master DI program works at least 5 times faster) than the BDC counterpart and so ideally suited for loading large volume data. DI programs are not available for all application areas.
    synchronous & Asynchronous updating:
    http://www.icesoft.com/developer_guides/icefaces/htmlguide/devguide/keyConcepts4.html
    synchronous & Asynchronous processings
Asynchronous refers to processes that do not depend on each other's outcome, and can therefore occur on different threads simultaneously. The opposite is synchronous. Synchronous processes wait for one to complete before the next begins. For those Group Policy settings for which both types of processes are available as options, you choose between the faster asynchronous or the safer, more predictable synchronous processing.
By default, the processing of Group Policy is synchronous. Computer policy is completed before the CTRLALTDEL dialog box is presented, and user policy is completed before the shell is active and available for the user to interact with it.
    Note
You can change this default behavior by using a policy setting for each so that processing is asynchronous. This is not recommended unless there are compelling performance reasons. To provide the most reliable operation, leave the processing as synchronous.

  • The sound effects volume is all the way down. It pops on for a second, then disappears. I can't find it in settings.   How do I get the sound back?

The sound effects volume is all the way down.  It pops up for a second once in awhile and then disappears. I can't find it in the Setting.  Music sound plays fine, but no sound on my apps.  Any idea how to fix it?

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • Adjusting audio volume for all slides?

I can easily do this for one slide, but when I Shift-click to
select all slides, then apply Captivate's Audio / Edit Timing menu
option, the dialog shows me an Adjust Volume option that adjusts
the volume for all slides in the movie. But, when I adjust the
volume and press OK to exit the dialog, the new volume setting is
not saved with my movie. Is this a bug? Anyone?

Hi boonedogr and welcome to our community
In the words of Yoda: Hmmm, seems a bug we have found!
So here is how to make it stick.
    1. Click Audio > Edit timing... and you should see the
    "Edit Audio Timing" dialog.
    2. Click the Insert Silence toolbar button. This should
    produce the "Insert Silence" dialog.
    3. Change the "Insert" field so it reflects 0.001seconds of
    silence.
This step is necessary to trick Captivate into accepting the
audio has indeed changed. I use 0.001 seconds as it is the minimum
you can insert and it should have absolutely no discernable effect
    on your movie.
    4. Now click the Adjust Volume button to see the "Adjust
Volume" dialog where you can alter the volume level as well as
    boost dynamics and whatnot.
    5. Make adjustments as desired.
    6. Click OK to dismiss the Adjust Volume dialog.
    7. Click OK to dismiss the Edit Audio Timing dialog
At this point, you should notice several progress indicators
as the audio clips for all slides with audio are adjusted to
    reflect your new settings.
*NOTE: This will have no effect on Background Audio or Object
Level Audio. Those clips will need to be adjusted manually as a
    separate process.
Hope this helps a bit... Rick

Hi, Just bought an ipod classic 160gb and i notice that when I turn the volume down all the way, music is still heard, i.e. I cannot turn it down lower than a certain volume. Is there a fix for this? Thanks

I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!

  • I do not have any sounds at all.

I do not have any sounds at all. All volumes are turned up. No rings, no vibrations and card games have no sound.

Make sure the side switch (above volume buttons) is not set to mute.
Make sure Do Not Disturb is off (Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access Control Center and make sure the moon icon is not lit)
Try a Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)
