Lightroom must be installed via the Creative Cloud Application.
It sounds like you have installed a Perpetual Licensed Version or a Trial Version of Lightroom. Uninstall any versions you have installed of Version 5 and then reinstall via the Creative Cloud App.

    Why are the offerings in Creative Cloud Photography plan different from the Photoshop Photography Program? For example, the new plan has 2 GB of storage when PPP offered 20 GB. Also, the original PPP offering provided users with a Behance pro membership, which CCP does not.

    I have been supplied info in an email to copy and paste for a new product purchase "Adobe Acrobat XI Pro OCR" but am unsure how and where to copy and paste to. Also I have tried other products previously downloaded to convert a 7 page PDF file on my Mac and convert it to a Word doc but everything I have tried is converting the file to display some text correctly but also displays random symbols and fonts in place of the handwritten info filled in on the form... also getting blank pages included instead of the info??? Would appreciate some help... I am older generation and not always tech savvy, and it is doing my head in haha.

    I've checked your account, and all is well there. Please make sure that you're logging in with the same Adobe ID/password that you used when you signed up.
    Then, clear the browser cache, and try logging in directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com.

    I paid for a year membership and its saying that my trial has expired!

    I cannot tell you how to resolve this, but I can tell you what happened to me since I made the mistake of buying a year's membership.
    Like you, I noticed that despite paying the fee and it leaving my account, I still only had access to the trial versions of the apps. I read around and some people commented that it took some time for the billing team and other teams to co-ordinate information at busy times (though it seemed odd a company of Adobe's size would have this workflow) and as I could still make do with the trial apps, I waited.
    Eventually, with the trial days going down to the low digits, I contacted Adobe "customer support" to ask how I could rectify the problem. They cheerfully told me that I had not purchased a subscription from them, that I was not on their records and with this the implication that my expectation was foolish as I didn't own their product. I supplied some bank information to show I had paid and they had taken money, but I just got the same poorly worded response telling me records had been checked and there was no way I had been charged. The issue was closed and it was clear to me I could not change their mind despite having evidence that clearly indicated Adobe had charged me the exact payment for the service I was asking about.
    As some weeks had gone by I resolved to contact my bank, but the birth of my Daughter in late October meant I forgot to do so. My mistake, I know, but I think understandable. I noticed that in late November another charge was taken from my account (and I checked to see if I could access the apps but I was still being asked to provide a serial number I was never given (or needed if other people are correct on this). I contacted my Bank and asked them to prevent any more charges and also to begin the process of charging back the money for a service I never received. I sent them the correspondence I had with Adobe, in which they said I had never purchased the service, as well as copies of my account to go with the data they had access to. My money was refunded before Christmas, which I was very glad to see. I thought that it would be the end of it for a while and resolved to cancel. However under my account details it still shows I only have a free membership! I cannot cancel something I do not have!
    I have now received a letter from my bank indicating Adobe have contested my charge back, and they have supplied documents that show I have signed up for and paid for the year's service. There is no indication of them acknowledging that despite the fact I never denied signing up, they failed to provide the service I paid for! Just that they want the money back!
    So now I am in a situation where I cannot cancel and will continue to be charged for something that I still cannot access! I will continue to see if I can fight with the aid of my bank, but its a rather distressing that a company can  hold you over a barrel for something you never got, even by their own admission.
    I hope that you get a better resolution than I did.

    I've paid $239.88 as a current student.  On 09/08/2014 Adobe Systems has cashed that money. I've received confirmation email about the positive result of  proof of eligibility 09/06/2014.
    Since that date I don't have any information. So I can't initialize the software.
    Would you please explain what was happened? Or give me a contact phones or e-mails of persons who can answer to my questions?
    I've try to find a customer service phones - but they are hide so deeply... It is not a good practice!

    Viktor, you must have received the mail of approval of the proof of eligibility & the CC being activated, please check the case portal.
    However after apologizing if you have not got the intimation, the good news is that the subscription is active with 20GB of space.

  • I have purchased a £15 itunes voucher redeemed it but it will not let me purchase anything with it

    i cannot purchase anything with it as it keeps asking for bank details
    i phoned apple support and they told me to go to a store.
    i went into an apple store and was told they couldnt help me unless i made an appointment with the genius bar, so i simply told the guy what the problem was and he simply told me i had to phone apple support.     so i re contacted the support 08000 number but they gave me a 0844 number which i refuse to call because it will cost me more than £15 to get my problem solved
    i am absolutely outraged that apple has stopped live chat as matters like this were always resolved so easily and were alot less stressful
    i am easily stressed and with heart problems this does not help my condition at all
    i will not forget it as i refuse to curl over and allow a multi million pound company steal £15 from me and demand me to pay more money by phoning them to resolve a issue that is not my fault

    Your issue is with the iTunes Store, and they have no phone support nor live chat and to my knowledge never have. The Genius Bar and Apple technical support cannot help with iTunes Store issues. Go here:

    Brit625 are you downloading from Download CS5 products?  If so do you receive any specific error messages?  Have you tried a different web browser?

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
    There are 3 components to charging: Power adapter, battery, and logic board (and within that the dc-in card). If the adapters and batteries are good, then the dc-in card may have failed, which would be the next component in the chain. The dc-in card contains the jacks that the power adapter plugs into on the side of the Powerbook. You can see a picture of it at http://www.pbparts.com/shop//a15dlsdpsb.html
    You can try the Apple hardware test, however, I don't recall it being particularly good at pointing out charging issues. It would be on the first OS X DVD that came with your system (should say 'AHT Vx.x' in small print on the DVD). Insert it, and reboot holding the option key down, follow directions and choose the extended test.

    If you are getting a network timeout error then try temporarily turning off all your firewall and antivirus software until the download has completed.

    Download them to iTunes abd then sync the apps. Make an appointment with Apple and see what the problem is.
