I have purchased a new iPad2 and I was wondering if there is a way to get iPod content onto this new device. I am having difficulty finding any information on this kind of transfer and I am not sure if it is even possible. Just not looking forward to loosing my progress in games and information in notes and other apps. Thanks
Have you been syncing the iPod with iTunes? Then you just connect the iPad and set it up through iTunes and sync any content you want onto it.

In terms of games/apps. If they are not universal (you will see a + symbol next to them) or made for iPad (you would see an HD in the name, usually) then they won't look good on an iPad as those apps will open in a iPod sized window, giving you the option to enlarge.

i recently bought a macbook pro and i made a new apple id. my last macbook had a different id as well and i was wondering if there's a way of transferring all my music from the other laptop to the new one without having to use my old apple id? if it makes any type of difference i have an iphone 5 so i tried transfering the music but it only transfered certain things and not my entire album.
Making a new Apple ID was the worst thing you could of done. This is very bad to do. Not sure why people do that. Your Apple ID is Your Apple ID. You only need one and it is best to only have one Apple ID for all apple devices.
Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you. -
i have backed up all my music on an external hard drive and i was wondering is there a quick way to put it all back on itunes.
Hello, Gazzlaa84.
You can import your media a couple different ways. If you plan on keeping the media on the external drive, I would just direct iTunes to read the media folder on the external. Here are the steps on how to make that change.
iTunes for Windows: Moving your iTunes Media folder

iTunes for Mac: Moving your iTunes Media folder

Also, here is another great resource for moving your iTunes media.

My husband has just set me up with Eudora, and I am wondering if the program has a feature that would change my email to 'unread' - a way i'm used to using to remind me that i need to go back and tend to a email when i've more time.....
thanks! This forum is for the Firefox web browser, not Eudora.
If you are using EUDORA OSE which is Thunderbird based, use one of these forums. <br />

My Toshiba laptop crashed and I was wondering if there is a way to reload it through itunes
In September 2013 my laptop crashed and someone helped me recover my Itunes library (music, movies & TV). The laptop crashed again but no I think it's the motherboard and/or screen. I have a netbook that I'd like to be able to access everything again but I can't figure out how to do it.
I have my iPod (old school) and it was recently backed up so it probably has everything on it. I'm just afraid to hook it up because I don't know if it will delete everything and just load what's on iTunes now. (one album)
Would all of the information still be accessible? It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everythihg back.
If for some reason you have failed to do this, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases -
And if there is, is the processor soldered to the board? Or just a click in one. Thank you.Can some also suggest a good place to buy replacement parts for my macbook? I'm from the UK. Thank you.
The processor and several other components are fixed to the logic board;
so there is no upgrade path by parts swapping, and more than just the CPU
would likely require replacement to support any 'upgrade' by soldering iron.
The best upgrade is to look for a clean and good condition later model Mac.
Since I'm in the far northwest North America continent, my reference to any
thing in the UK regarding Macs and parts is outdated. Maybe klaus1 knows?
Other than upgrading the RAM to full supported capacity, and then consider
a solid-state drive, (SSD) upgrade, there isn't much else to do for it. Take
a look into OWC macsales SSD product information online.
Hopefully you can update or upgrade...
Good luck & happy computing!

I had gadgets like local weather, moon phases and Chicago Tribune.
Do I have to search for them again or can I get them back easily on the home page? The only OSX update that you have available is Snow Leopard (10.6) which you can purchase from the Apple online store and it comes on a disk. In order to install subsequent OSX's such as Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks (which can be downloaded and do not require a disk) it requires that the MBP have 10.6.8 installed.
That of course assumes that your unidentified MBP qualifies for those operating systems.
In short, to proceed any further, you will have to accommodate Snow leopard.
Ciao.

Also, I am wondering if you have any tips to speed up streaming speeds on videos without installing an update. I can no longer watch Netflix or Hulu due to how slow my computer streams videos now. Besides updating my Mac, is there any way to solve this? What may be causing this issue?
In regard to the above, please read this article:

Thanks so much!!!
If it's a brand new account, then there should be no harm in deleting it assuming you don't have any important data saved. On the iPhone, go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account.
You can then create a new ID at http://appleid.apple.com, then sign in to iCloud after the ID has been created. -
My hard drive crashed. Is there any way to get my songs onto my new computer without re-loading all of the CDs. I did not make any purchases through the itunes store. Have never used icloud. The songs are on my ipod.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

I have two macs in my house. One is newer and came with the os x mountain lion software and the other one needs to be upgraded. I was wondering if there is a way to take upgrade from one to the other? Should not have to buy this software again.
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Buy it for the other computer. Mountain Lion is preinstalled on the new Mac, but you can only use it in the new one -
I download quite a few magazines through the app store on my iPad. I just bought an iMac and was wondering if there is a way to transfer those purchases over so that I could read them on my Mac?
You should be able to use the OpenVPN Connect app running on your iPad to connect your iPad to the VPN directly. It is an official OpenVPN client for iOS devices.
In what way is it "not compatible"? Have you tried it? Tunnelblick is an OpenVPN client, so your school's VPN is using the OpenVPN protocol. That means any OpenVPN client should be able to access it. (It is possible, but unlikely, that your school uses encryption that is not available on the iPad, but that would be very unusual.)
Otherwise, a remote control app on your iPad would let you control your Mac at home. "Back to My Mac", for example, would allow you to control your Mac remotely. The tricky part of this is that usually a VPN is set up to send all Internet traffic via the VPN server, and I'm not sure how that would work with "Back to My Mac". -

It has always beenv ery basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just this reason. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to backup, not good, then you can redownload some purchases in some countries:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
I need to save some pictures from iPhoto to a SDHC photo card for a digital frame and was wondering if there is a way to shrink or compress file size for each picture as I have already cropped the pictures? Thank you
Yes, you do this when you export the images from the Library.
File -> Export
in the Size section, you don't need images larger than the frame size, so you can specify that and in the Jpeg Quality you can select the amount of compression used.
This User Tip

has details of the options in the Export dialogue. -
Hi, my ipad got stolen and i was wondering if there is anyway of finding out the serial number remotely from another apple device?
If it iwas registered to your account then you should be able to get it from your support profile : https://supportprofile.apple.com/
If not then do you have a backup of the iPad on your computer's iTunes ? If you do then in iTunes go into Edit > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences if using a Mac) and on the Devices tab on that hover your mouse pointer over the iPad's backup : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061 -
This is REALLY getting me frustrated! What is "Hibernate this Group"? Why can't I find any information on it? Why can't I get groups back that have been accidentally "hibernated"? There is a "moon" symbol on my upper right screen that says "Hibernate this Group" and I don't know what it does or how it works! AND I accidentally "hibernated" a group when I clicked on it too long and a bunch of "zzz's" showed up and then it was GONE! How do I get it all back? And why isn't there a tech center I can contact to help with this???
This sounds like some third-party app or extension, because this functionality is not in Firefox by default. [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] should remove it
