It's a fake sent by criminals trying to get your account information. Do not respond to the email in any way, just delete it.

I'm not positive about this, but I'd guess that the voicemail service is with your cellular provider i.e. will work w/o the phone instrument.
Doing the "remote lock" should not AFAIK prevent Find My... from working. But it might discourage a thief and cause him to turn it off before iCloud can snare its location? I'd have guessed NOT i.e. that it would register instantly, but I dunno how fast that works.
In any case that's your only hope at this point, to monitor your email and see if a "Found!" is received. If it were me, I'd use my netbook to check email all night long and wake me if one comes in. Good luck, and report back!

Select Force Quit from under the Apple menu and select Mail (it may say that it isn't responding).

This is the second time I have had a problem with my account. I am extremely frustrated with it. A while ago I was not able to purchase anything including free apps. At that time I had an outstanding balance. Which had been from using a visa card on my account. I was then told to purchase iTunes cards which would be able to pay it. It then automatically took of the money for the balance that it needed. So I thought okay problem solved. Then for about a month or two I was able to buy music and apps. You have the iPhone in your profile, but people's profiles here are often incomplete or very outdated. It's better to be specific. And part of the problem is that I can't find any Belkin composite cables for connecting an iPhone to a TV, either on the Apple Store or the Belkin site. The closest I found is this Belkin video cable, which doesn't specify exactly what kind of connection it is.
For the most relevant assistance, you've got to post in the iPhone forum and specify the cable by providing a link to exactly which cable you're using.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Thanks Paul; but, taking your suggestion didn't solve the problem. As mail is part of the OS, the updates don't have the capacity to reinstall applications; so, I had to reinstall the OS. I now have my mail back (although it didn't appear on the dock--I had to go to applications and activate it and then put it back in the dock. Thanks again for trying.
