I have recently upgraded to mountain lion and I can not get the calendar application to work. I con appears on the side put on calendars. Any suggestions
I have recently upgrades to Mountain Lion and I can not get the calendar utility to come alive. Icon appears in the tast bar but the application does not launch or appear to be any where else. Any suggestion?
Did you look in the Applications folder for Calendar? If it is there, remove the item that is in the Dock and replace it by dragging the Calendar application to the Dock.
If it is not there, did you have iCal located somewhere other than the Applications folder when you upgraded?

Did you updated from OSX Lion to Mountain Lion? And iPhoto was installed on your Mac? Then iPhoto and the Library must still be on your Mac.
Go to finder and slect 'Applications'. iPhoto must be in that folder. Open iPhoto. See what happens. Are all your pictures/events displayed?
If not, please reply and we will try to locate the iPhoto Library. -
I could read Burmese font with Zawgyi Font in my previous Mac Book with Lion. I have MacAir Retina display with MountainLion and could not read Burmese fonts. Font books have 3 fonts for Burmese font and all are enable. Please help

I have an Airport Extreme Base Station and have recently upgraded to Mountain Lion. Now airport utility won't work with my base station so I bought a Time Capsule. For the life of me I can't make the substitution work and only see a blinking amber light. Can anyone who has made this change offer some advice?

Resetting the password you will need to do for each device... the utility cannot even see those old units.
So you will have to do it for each one.. think it through.. because as you change passwords the others will lose connection.. so start from the express which are wireless extending .. change those first.. and go back up the chain.. as each one changes it will drop off the network.. until you reach extreme and change that. Then you might need to reboot the whole network to get everything talking again. If something goes wrong.. just pluck that one out of the mix and plug in ethernet.. reset and redo the setup. That is my preferred method anyway.. do everything in isolation one by one. By ethernet and then nothing goes wrong.

You cannot partition a network disk. And apple provided no tools for it in the TC itself. You can pull the disk out and partition it but that voids your warranty. (although done with care who is to know).

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and now cannot print out on my Brother QL-570 printer. I get as far as typing in the label name and then the labeller or computer disconnect. I have tried downloading drivers from Brother but they can't do that as only Apple can do that but there is nothing in Apple to do that. I also reloaded the program off the set up disc. . Any ideas?
yeah-find out where you're downloading stuff to, and stick with it. I'm using FireFox and tell it to save the driver and stuff on the desktop, and when I quit FireFox, there it is on the desktop. you'll also need your admin password. It should show up as a .dmg file, then double-click on it to open it. You should see "Brother.pkg" . start up brother.pkg (double click??) and folow the instructions that ought to appear to install the printer driver. If the .dmg file doesn't mount, use Disk Utility** to mount it and get it working. Then you should see the package. and then you can install it.
** you may have to click on the .dmg file and choose "Get Info" then Open with, then choose disk utility, and then open with then change all. then close it. Hopefully that ought to work. If you cannot remember your admin password, I can't help you right now. Looks like you'd need it, to let Brother install that printer driver.

I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail are not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice. Yesterday, the signatures were stacking instead of switching to the one I wanted to choose.
I had this and fixed it.
I had upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures in Mail were fine. But then about a week later, I got a new computer and used Migration Assistant to copy my stuff to the new machine. Upon opening Mail, I had all the correct Signature information in the Preferences>Signatures window, but nothing worked.
After lots of hunting, I found the Signature Folder. It's in:
Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
Looking at my previous setup (which works) I saw in that folder two types of files: .webarchive and .siganture
Looking in my new machine's Signature folder, I saw only the .webarchive folders, not the .signature folders
Since this was literally a clone of my previous setup to a new machine, here's what I did:
1. Quit Mail
2. In Problem machine, go to
Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
3. Move the Signatures folder someplace safe, but out of the MailData folder
4. Get the Signatures Folder from the working install (like a backup) and copy it to the MailData folder on the problematic machine
5. Start Mail on the problem machine
This worked for me. I don't know why Migration Assistant didn't copy the full signature folder, but this fixed it. It worked perfectly partly because I had just backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner and the very next day set up the new machine. I don't know where Lion or earlier versions of mail stored signatures, but the absence of the .signature filetype seems to be the problem.

so its in a forum, which I didn't stumble upon because it wasn't anywhere in the adobe troubleshooting steps for Windows 8 that automatically came up for me when I clicked that I couldn't see the test flash movie on their site. I guess if I spent another half a day googling I might have found it.
BTW, unchecking Active X filtering in IE10, was NOT the fix. I had to go into the security tab, and change the custom active X setting I listed above. So this link you provided which mentions unchecking Active X filtering was not the fix that worked in my scenario. -

From your description above I conclude that the WiFi transmitter and receiver of your iPad appear to be working, but I abviously cannot tell how well they are working.
Have you reset your iPad already?
Press the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until only the white Apple logo appears on the screen - usually 10 to 15 seconds - ignore anything else.

Recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and some things have altered.
Recently, I upgraded to Mountain Lion. As i mainly use my computer for digital imaging, I have mainly picture files stored in documents. I am often taking image files out of folders and dropping them on my desktop. For quickness, before i upgraded, my Mac used to copy the file automatically, leaving one in a folder, whilst at the same time dropping an image onto the desktop. It did this as I dragged it out of the folder. Now, since upgrading, it doesn't do this anymore. So when i've finished with an image i am putting it in the trash, assuming there is one in still in my folders. So i am losing images. I find edit> copy>paste command each time, too time consuming. This simple task is now a bit of a chore. How do I get my computer to do automatically keep a copy in the folder, once dragged on to desk top?
Yes it does work if I hold the ALT key whilst clicking and dropping. Which is better than edit>copy>paste. However, before i upgraded I did not have to hold the ALT key, the computer did it automatically. I still have to remember to hold the key. Also, I over use the ALT key as it is. It is the main key for cloning (rubber stamping) in photoshop. This will be the first key to stop working on my keyboard, so I don't want to give it too much extra use. I need the Mac to automatically copy my image files without holding a key down. It means I can't work as quick as I used to and I am losing too many images this way. Is there are way of making an action, a shortcut command for 'ALT' copying? I presume this it what I had it like before.
