I have a brand new hp computer i bought it two months ago for college it has Windows 7 64-bit, and the sound or video comes out robotic everything from youtube, to itunes, to a website having a video in it, to solitare. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions
Doesn't help, I use Wacom Intuos 5 Medium tablet, I disconnected the wacom tablet and did some brush work with the mouse (apple magic mouse) and it hangs the same way, then I disconnected the mouse and did some brush work only with the tablet and it is the same again. Here are my iMacs tech details if that helps.
My PS became totally useless, I even returned my iMac to apple store and bought a new one but the problem still exists.

Recently purchased an SRS-X3, primarily for use as a speaker phone. When linked with my cell phone and using Pandora, the sound is great. But, if I try to use it as a speaker phone, the sound breaks into intermittent bits that sound like regular intervals of sound and silence and makes the conversation coming in unintelligible. The sound going out to the other person on the phone does not seem to have this limitation (although I can't say this for sure, because it's hard to conduct this test when you can't hear a darn thing coming in.)
Any suggestions? I can't find anything in the experience base that refers to this phenomenon.The Vine video has video/mp4, so MP4 support needs to be present and working on your computer to make this work.<br />
I needed to bring up the controls via the right-click context menu (Show Controls) and adjust the volume as the volume appeared to be set to zero to get sound.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
you can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

NO sound when using any form of headphones
I cannot listen to anything with heaphones anymore. I have a macbook pro 13" inch and I only got it maybe 2 years ago, probably less than that. A few days ago I plugged my headphones in to do some final cut pro editing and my sound wasnt working at all! I've checked to see if my sound was on mute when speakers were in.....NOPE, Ive reset the PRAM settings....NOPE, I have checked to see whether my sound output was set incorrectly and as far as I can see all is good, and Ive restarted the computer many times and that also isnt working. Do you have any other advice for me to fix this problem? Or do I really have to take my computer into a genius bar or something. The unfortunate thing is that I am currently in India making a film documetary and now I cant edit with headphones for best sound quality.

Make sure that headphone is selected.
Finder > Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
When Audio Devices Page shows up plug in the headphone.
Highlight the headphone in the sidebar and make sure that mute is not selected under "Mute".
Try to adjust the volume.

I have a HP610-1150f. not recording sound when using webcam in touchsmart screen. I have looked thru this forum and I don't see anyone else having this problem. (unless I missed it). The recording works in Notes, but not when I open Webcam and try to record from there. video recording works fine. I have had this computer less than a month and I am having a couple of problems with it. Still loving it though.
Hello schae731: Welcom to HP Forum and your new Touchsmart. You need to contact HP Direct Support on line your Touchsmart comes with one year warranty so use it why you can. You can contact them through your HP Support Assistant or on line. They will help you with trouble shoot the web-cam software. Goto your computers model and make support web-site. They will also help you with your other issues as well.
I am using the older version software so I won't be much help. Please repost if HP direct support is un able to help you resolve your issues. While you are chatting with them have them check out your computer do it before your 1 year warranty expires. Have fun with your new computer. -
I have some videos that are completely well shown when using any media player, but some parts of the video appear with red screens when I try to edit them on Adobe Premier. Does anyone knows the reason?

I have mac book pro and recently bought mountain lion online, i then used bootcamp to upload windows 7 now i have no sound when i use windows what can i do to get sound.

MacBook Pro freezes when using any app other than the web browser.
My MacBook freezes when using any app other than the web browser. I can open up Google Chrome and use it all day with no problem, but if I minimize it and try to browse through photos in my picture folder or do anything that involves the Finder, the computer just freezes up and I get the rainbow wheel. If I put in a CD to play it, the computer freezes with the rainbow wheel. Any suggestions? I would like to use the mac for more things than the internet.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. The standard answer with all text issues simply is, that you have a "bad font" on your system and need to get rid of it.

I have no sound when watching videos on you tube or live streaming. If I switch to Linux everything is fine in firefox on this system but nothing with firefox in windows. If I use internet explorer everything is fine again, which seems to me to say that the problem lies within firefox 36. Can anyone help with this problem?
Tried that with the same result. I can't understand why it works with Linux (Ubuntu) and not Windows. IE works as well but I prefer to use Firefox, so I guess I'll just have to switch browsers when playing videos - weird.

I have noticed that when using Tigers disk utility to format an external USB flash drive I only have the choice of FAT ( when formatting for use on a Windows machine ) and not FAT32. I have found that USB FLASH drives formatted as FAT do not always work on Windows machines. Why? How can I use Tiger to format for FAT32?
I think it depends on the size of the Flash Drive as to whether it uses FAT16 or FAT32.
Can you format it FAT32 on the PC?
