I have set up photoshop elements as external editor in iPhoto but I cannot get the edited photo to open in iPhoto. When I save the photo Elements asks where do I want to save it and iPhoto is not an option.
I have set up Photoshop Elements11 as the External Editor in iPhoto just as Terence Devlin said. However when I save the edited photo it does not appear in iPhoto. A drop down menu asks where I want to save the photo and I do not know what to choose. Also should I choose, "save" or "save as"? I should be really grateful for your help.
I suggest opening iPhoto and reverting back to iPhoto in the Preferences for photo editing. Quit iPhoto. Restart your Mac for good measure. Open iPhoto and again choose Photoshop Elements in Preferences as the editing app.
As far as editing, I don't have PE, but I have another editing app form the Mac App Store, ColorStrokes. I have been experimenting with using it for editing iPhoto photos and it works flawlessly. After setting ColorStroke as the editing app, I open a photo in iPhoto and click the Edit button in the menu bar below the photo. Color Stoke immediately opens with the photo and I complete my editing. When I have finished editing I choose to Save the photo, leave the name the same and agree to replace the iPhoto photo of the same name. I quit ColorStroke and the photo in iPhoto now has all of my edits from ColorStroke.
Should I decide that I prefer the original photo, I open the photo in iPhoto and choose Revert to Original in the Photos pulldown menu.

All in one C4580 asks 'where do you want to save?

Hi - You might start by checking the port setting for the printer. It almost sounds like the port setting somehow got changed to "File". Not sure which OS you're using, but go into the Printers window, right click on your printer and click on the Ports tab. Make sure it is set to the port you are connected to. Probably USB.

I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.
Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

I have a Touchsmart 9100 PC with a built in webcam, but i cannot get the webcam to work, help?
A light comes on the built in webcam when I for instance, activate a Skype video call, but no picture comes through. I thought this might be a problem with Skype, so i instead tried to just use the webcam like a photobooth however the camera still would not work.
What do you think the problem is? How do I uninstall and reinstall the webcam, might that help? or is this not possible with a built in device?

I can't seem to figure out why I can't delete and redownload my apps. I'm very confused. I've tried turning my phone on and off, and doing a soft reset.
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Problem with using Photoshop Elements as external editor
I am currently trying out Lightroom 4 prior to (maybe) buying it.
I have set PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe as my external editor preference, but when I try to use it, I get the following eror message:- Unexpected error performing command; bad argument #1 to 'lower' (string expected, got nil).

Can any one tell me how to delete "rented" movies from itunes off of my ipad. They have been watched and are expired but I cannot get them off of my rental section
You are trying to watch the movies in the videos app .... Correct?
If you are getting a black screen in the videos app, here are several things that you can try.
Quit the app completely and then try try again.
Go to the home screen by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the videos app. Tap the home button again. Lanch the videos app and see if the movies will play.
If that didn't help, try a reset.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Sometimes this will work ....
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. When the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK. -
Whenever I try to open iPhoto, a message comes up saying that 148 photos have been found in the iPhoto Library that have not been imported. It asks me if I want to import them and I say NO but then it places them in a recovered photo folder. I keep deleting the empty recovered photo files but it just keeps asking me every time I go to open iPhoto! I'd love to just get rid of the "found" photos (I can't open them anyway!)
How do I get rid of them so that I can just open iPhoto straight up without this?

look for a folder titled Import or Importing and move it to the Desktop. Launch iPhoto to see if the message goes away. If there is no message check the contents of the Import folder to see if you want to keep any of those image files (usually they have not been imported into iPhoto). If you want to keep them then drag the folder into the open iPhoto window to import.

I turned of iMessage and now I want it back on and it's not working, I have changed my password and now I don't know what to do. Is there something obvious I am doing wrong? I have done this on both of my iPads and it hasn't let me go back on to iMessage on either of them.

Why does Firefox sometimes ask me if I want to save my tabs when I close, and sometimes it does not? I usually want to save them, so this is a pain. I'm on a Mac, OS 10.5.8

Hello How do I set up Firefox 8.0 so that It will Ask me if I want to save a Password for a website. At present I don't get an option every time I go into a website that I know is secure I have to enter username and password. I have been though tools etc.

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

Do you mean saving a password?
If you clicked "Never" then you have created an exception that you need to remove.
Remove site(s) from the Exceptions:
