I have succesfully replaced firefox 4.0.1 with 3.6.2 as I have a Mac Mini but not the intel chip. Everything works fine except I can't get rid of the install window and the firefox logo in a simulated drive on my desk top home screen.

When viewing videos, they would seem to running in slow motion. I thought that by reverting back to an older version that was compatible with my system that I might correct the problem.

Does the iPod work OK?
Does it charge when connect to the computer?
Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

I have reset the NVRAM and the SMC a couple of time but that didn't work so I ran an Apple Hardware Test and while testing the logic board it gives the following error:
4SNS/1/40000000 LB1T
I've done some research and found this is a temperature sensor related to the battery, but cannot find where the sensor is located in the computer. Would you know how I can find the sensor to test it? Could my battery problem be related to something else? Would a fresh install of Lion help?

Two pieces of information that may or may not b helpful, the hard drive is from my early 2008 MBP and the only test disc I have access to is from an iMac.

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:

Ok....so I have found a work around....if not a complete solution.
I'm not sure if deleting your music, uninstalling ITunes and reinstalling and adding your music back will actually affect it but I tried it again. Started from scratch.
I checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos"
Then I moved my music to phone via drag and drop, usually just boxing a row of albums at a time.
I went back into my Iphone and began the sync. The message popped up, "1 Item could not be synced" and the sync stopped. At that point, I just clicked sync again and it started back up again. It took a few go's but eventually I got all my music on my phone.
Ironically enough, the only songs that wouldn't sync were songs that I had actually purchased from Itunes....kinda odd

Which version of operating system are you running? Please go to Apple in menu bar, click on 'about this Mac" and click on the numbers under the big Mac OS X until you see "version 10.x.x" - copy what it says and post it here please.

Thanks. Before my re-installation if I was in Bridge and found a photo I wanted to edit in CS5 I would just double click it and it would be brought in. Now when I do this I am brought into a microsoft viewer. To edit a picture I found in Bridge I have to write down its name and directory, open up CS5 (if it is not) and navigate to the photo. I found the place in Photshop and Bridge where you are supposed to be able to change the default program invoked when you double click on a photo in Bridge but there is no choice given other than the Microsoft viewer. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. At some point some web site I was reading suggested the problem being related to CS5 failing to make some change in the registry when it installed? I have a mac mini-snow leopard. I recently bought an external HD. I want to use part of the HD to back up my mac via Time Machine. The other part I want to use to store my Itunes and other media such as movies with VLC so that I can take the HD and play it back thru my windows XP laptop. The problem is that my laptop does not see the part of the external drive that has my mac info stored on it. Only sees the drive ( as drive E ) with zero data that was created by me when I partitioned it on my mac. I partitioned the drive in two. One partitioned under GUID for mac. The other part under exfat for windows. Any suggestions on why my XP laptop cannot view the mac info on the HD. Thanks.

The Bluetooth icon does not exist in the System Preferenc screen.
I tried to download Bluetooth from Apple site but the message I got told me that I didn't need it.
Under Finder, Utilities, I found Bluetooth File Exchange but the message I got was that I had to connect a Bluetooth device to my computer.
I have to admit that I have no idea what's going on here. I am hoping to avert the need to try another complete re-install of Snow Leopard.
Any ideas?

Thanks Barry - I found the file and trie to send it to trash. The response: (This item cannot be trashed as it it owned by the system).
After dancing around with PRAM and SMC and turning on while holding the power-cntrl-option-shift and heavens knows what else, I now have the Bluetooth symbol on the top of the menu bar but it is ghoseted and has a squiggly line through it. This, I didn't have before so I read this as some progress. It notes that "Bluetooth is not available">
However, the Bluetooth icon is still missing from the System Preferences window - you know, between "network" and "sharing".
You note that you reckon the issue is not software based and you may be correct. The reason that I wonder about that though, is that before I installed Snow Leopard, the keyboard and mouse both paired with the box under the Tiger 10.4. That leads me to conclude that hardware is functional and that there is some screwy little bit of software that is not cooperating.
If I could delete Bluetooth from the system and re-install a fresh version, that might help. Or, is there a way I can use the Snow Leopard install disc and only load in Bluetooth?
I'm stumped.
