How can i use my files(apps,media) from my main os to another os in one mac?
When yosemite was released, i was excited to install it but the problem is that i don't want my main os to be compromised because i think that yosemite is kinda new and it's only 10.0 version and Dota 2 does not work on Yosemite and it's very unstable according to Steam forums and many other sites. My main OSX is still mountain lion and the only os x version that makes dots 2 stable. What i did is I partitioned my hard drive into two one for my main os and one for yosemite. Now i have two os x on my macbook pro. Now the problem is i don't want to install Logic Pro X again and re-download many samples and stuff. When i open the finder in Yosemite, i can see my mountain lion disk where all my files located at? Anyway, I downloaded it all but just photoshop I downloaded separtly, It is really the only one I use. Seems my old OS was to old and my new is too new?

If you have the suite then you have to download the whole suite otherwise the Serial Number will not work, if you only download Photoshop. Once you download the suite you can choose to only install Photoshop and use the Serial number you have.

I just downloaded and installed Photoshop cc and the Camera Raw version is not the latest one available,so now I can no longer open files from my Nikon D750! Can I update ACR?

Can not open JPEG files and can not create JPEG files from other software
Can not open JPEG files and can not create JPEG files from other software (For example from Solidworks).
When I try to right click on a JPEG, a notice window appears written: "Windows Explorer has stopped working - Windows is
checking for a solution to the problem" and then the notice box disapears, the desktop appears and I can continue working.
From the other side - If I try to save as JPEG a screen of Solidworks (like a view of a part) the Solidworks falls but the JPEG
is created (I can see its name in the directory I created it).
I can open the JPEGS with the Paint software if I want but not with the Windows Photo Viewer.
I have the feeling that the Windows Photo Viewer disapeared from my computer - just a feeling.
I will appreciate your assistance.

In Aperture 3 when I right click on an image I am able to 'create new version from original' which suggests that the original is there. When I try to export the original I only get a .jpg with the XMP file. These particular images are from 2010, has the RAW file become disconnected somehow? Please, how do I get access to the RAW file for editing in Ps? Thank you. Thomasrevil.
Sorry leonie, 'Use RAW as Original' is not an option for the image shot with the Canon.
Then your Import settings must have been different, when you imported the Canon photos.
You can check, if there is still a hidden raw file somewhere. If the image has been imported as a pair, you should see the "J" badge in Browser and Viewer, if you enable badge overlays. This indicates a pair, with the jpeg as original.
Select one of those images, and then relocate the original files "File > Relocate original" to a folder, where you can inspect it. Use "File > Show in Finder" after ward. Look, don't touch .
Then put it back, using "File > Consolidate".
Do you see your raw files in the folder, or is only a jpeg there? -

while you are with the person selling it to you, ask if you can do a complete restore of the software settings->general->reset->reset all

I am on OSX 10.7.5 and recently had to reinstall it due to 'mail' not working correctly. That problem was resolved but now my I can't use the 'right click' function on the apple usb mouse. I only have a previous version re-install disc as I bought the latest OSX off the app store. Any help gratefully received?

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -
Why won't FireFox open local .html files (when using "open file")?
I teach hand coding and use FireFox to grade my students work. I also tell them to use this browser to review their own work. If they cannot navigate to their files on their desktop I will have to switch to another browser. I know it is something from the latest version... as I have been using FireFox for the last 5 years as my classroom browser of choice.
Firefox should still be able to open files using open files.

A third option would be simply to click on the relevant HTML file and use the option to open, or open with Firefox. Such files may also be bookmarked.
