I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.
Hope Apple fixes this problem soon..............

Everything besides the screen is completely fine-the screen will not recognize my finger anymore. I am not trying to fix the phone, but I need to have my contacts. The pictures have already synced, but I need my password to do a full backup. Unfortunately, I can't type in my password. Is there any way around it? If I take my phone to the apple store, will they be able to help me? I am not willing to replace the screen just to do this, however, so that is out of the question.

Someone else may have a workaround, but, as far as I know, if you cannot interact with the screen on the iPhone, there is no way to unlock it so you can get to your contacts.
Were you saving them to iCloud by chance? If so, you can restore them to your new phone.

There was a issue with school computers being used to spy on kids in their bedrooms, Mac's were involved.
So Apple most likely tightened the API's to only select, trustworthy companies as not to abuse the web cam access priviledge.
If you want to use a web cam with these other programs and services, you'll likely have to buy a third party USB one, so you can manually disconnect it.
There isn't a way to physcially disconnect the built in web cam on Mac's without busting open the machine.

Stuck on apple logo, lock button does not work

Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me.
I have an iPhone 5, and I intend to restore it in order to sell, but every time I try to turn it on, the battery life is low and in the red, and then it is stuck on the Apple logo for ages. My lock button does not work either so I can't actually turn it on properly, or do anything. I leave it plugged in the charger for hours, and it's still stuck on the Apple logo. And when I unplug and let it sit until it dies again, the process repeats...
What is happening? What can I do?

You can have it repaired or look up a guide and repair it yourself. The lock button needs to be replaced. It is essential at least for performing resets, like the one your phone needs right now. There may be an issue with the battery as well. I would not purchase an iPhone that did not have all its buttons working properly. The iPhone may not be draining enough to completely reset. Draining the battery this much might damage the battery as well. You probably need to do a reset by holding down the home button and a properly working lock button.

Why does Adobe sendnow work and the newest and greatest Adobe Send does not work? I wasted about 8 hours on trying to get Adobe Send to upload 269 files that amounted to 469MB. When it did not work I made a zip file and after a lot of wasted run time that did not work. The first situation gives little indication of when a file is loaded compared to Adobe SendNow. In both cases with Send it failed with a message like only the first 50 can be loaded. When I went and looked none of them had been loaded. With the zip file (I wanted to hide the individual files so they would not be counted) it appeared to work but very slowly and finally said it was done and I went and looked and it had done anything for oever 2 hours except a false "I'm runninng" indication.
Thus, I took a chance with Adobe SendNow and it works great. It never gave me a limit on the amount of files nor on the size of the complete job. It shows me one file at a time when it has finished with the file uploading it. SendNow has never given me any problems.
Why woiuld you want to change the program from SendNow to Send without the newest program being the best, fastest, user friendly program of the two? It just doesn't make sense to me. I suggest that Adobe keep SendNow working until Send is fixed. I would also suggest that SendNow and how it looks be kept, called Send, then modify Send one thing at a time until you get it to the point you need it to be for Acrobat. I have heard nothing good and now I have experienced it that Send is a piece of junk. I wasted most of my work day on giving Adobe the benefit of the doubt to find out I made a very bad decision to trust Adobe to make good decisions on the transfer of a function to another place .... both Adobe's responsibility.without making it painless for your customers that totally rely on you. Don't throw away customer confidence as it is very hard to get it back.

Yep! Verizon living up to it's contractual obligations by not releasing updates. Caveat emptor!
I think there are some reasonable expectations here to keep customer's happy. When one carrier offers upgrades there is an expectation the same will happen across all the carriers. We have seen that except Big Red.
Verizon could have said the update is in MS court months ago and stilled the voice of the disgruntled, or at least redirected it, but instead chose to be silent. Not for market share but for partial blame I think.
We will have to agree to disagree since you only see Terms & Conditions and I, see customer satisfaction.

Welcome to the Apple Community Shakoya.
Go to settings > general > accessibility > assistive touch > on. This will place a faint icon on the screen, this is then available from any screen and you can turn the phone off by tapping it, tapping device and then tapping lock screen.
This should suffice until you can have your phone fixed.

Since upgrade to v29, pinned tabs don't appear and sometimes all tabs don't appear and open menu button does not work

My pinned tabs don't appear at any start and at some starts, I don't see the bookmarks toolbar (I can restore that by removing it from view-toolbars and then reselecting it). when this happens, FF also does not show any tabs and the Menu button does not work.
I have tried various suggestions found on here like deleting the sessionstore.js and re-installing FF, also tried disabling hardware acceleration in safe mode and still have the same problems.
Am reluctant to reset FF in case I lose my favourites and Bookmarks, is there anything else I can try?

Firefox may not have closed properly.<br />
You can try to update to Firefox 29.0.1 to be released tomorrow (Friday) to see if that helps with this issue.

My partner AND my Lumia 900's Lock Screen have ceased to function as well. I even went as far as doing a "master reset" and it did nothing but lose all my pix and info (Thank God for SkyDrive!) I have a real security concern now, and I cannot leave my phone ANYWHERE unattended at ANY TIME as there is no safeguard to "lock the screen to prevent unauthorized use". I've brought this to both Nokia's and AT&T's attention, but, as usual, it's fallen on deaf ears. This and a "couple other antics" (volume is wacky now as well, both phone conversations and listening to music: BEFORE the 7.8 update, everything worked just fine, now the volume will NOT go over "10" on a scale of "30" for a phone conversation, and will not exceed "17" in volume on a scale of 3"30" when listening to music. When a voice message comes in, the volume is SO low that I actually have to place to phone over my ear canal to hear it.......
