I have the new Spectre and I forgot my Microsoft password
I am trying to download some apps fromthe app store and it's asking me for a password. I don't think I've had one so what do I do? I can't find where to create one.

Many apps and services rely on a Microsoft account to sync content and settings across devices.When you are presented with the password screen if you have a password on you notebook input the password and click next.The following screen will help you set up a Microsoft account to continue.If you do not have Windows password try not entering anything and pressing next. I am not sure if this will work or not. If it does not allow you to continue then you have two options. 1. Put a password on your notebook and then when you press next you will be prompted to create your Microsoft account,2. Create a Microsoft account. How do I sign up for a Microsoft account? I am unable to open certain documents in Pages. A number of documents in Pages have the new logo and when I try to open it, I am prompted to update, yet my computer says Pages update is installed. Not sure how to get around this? Thanks
You are not on OSX 10.7.4, you are on OSX 10.9.
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
The newer Pages 5 in your Applications folder which can open the older Pages '09 but frequently alters/damages the file.
The older Pages '09 in your Applications/iWork folder which can not open the newer Pages 5 files.
You appear to be alternately opening one or the other.
Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5.

Best is to archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting its files back to Pages '09 versions, then rate/review it in the App Store, and get back to work.

i was transferring my information from my old iphone to the new one, and i forgot that i had some pictures in the new one. i did the restoring information and the pictures in new one are gone. how can i get them back???? please
Only way to get it back is to restore your phone from a backup, if those pics were included in that backup.
But most likely those pics are gone.
What you should've done was import http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 the pics to your computer and after you restored from your old backup, you could sync those new pics to your phone via itunes. -
I have the new iphone and thought I could download Netflix but only found "Netflix Instant's Best Movies" in the apps. I pay for Netflix monthly. Is it not possible to download it here and use it on the iPhone? Insight appreciated.

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.

Sorry, yes iTunes on your computer.
When I updated my iPad 3 and iPod Touch 4th generation to iOS 6 a few months back, I was able to update the iPad effortlessly over WiFi. but I kept getting error messages when trying to update the iPod over WiFi, so I used iTunes on my MacBook Pro.
Connect the iPad to the computer, launch iTunes. Select the iPad under the devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update
If you are using iTunes 11, go to View>Show Sidebar at the top - so the sidebar is visible. -
After updating ios6 I can't access my downloaded iTunesU videos anymore. They come up in search but video app says 'no videos'. I have the new iPad and the latest version of iTunesU. How can I get the video app working with the iTunesU again?
I have a similar problem with ITunesU, I used to be able to access them from my car dock, but now they dont appear and the fwd/back buttons on the steering wheel wont affect them.
It seems taking them from ITunes into their own app has confused many other applications or dock connectors. Im going to try and remove the ITunesU app as I dont want to have lost the extra functionality -

You cannot redownload audiobooks at all. The audiobook industry does not allow this.
As always have been the case, you should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -

BTW, statements like
"Use the device until the battery has drained to the point of self-shutdown. Basically, use it until it turns itself off."
in articles like the one at http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/ are complete BS and if you do follow their "advice", your battery life will be severely hampered. Particularly if you also follow one of the comments: "Step One.One: Leave the device for 5+ hours before start charging. This will fully drain the battery." Well, the guy that advised the latter certanly doesn't know anyhting about lithium batteries and the damage deep discharging does to them.
Again, what the article (and the above-cited comment) advices is complete b*llsh*t and noone should really do this. -
I have the new iPad and the Hotspot disapeared from the settings menu. Carrier is Verizon LTE
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
Although the current devices don't have the photos, the following is advice for the future:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure". -
I have the new iPad and no Apple Map
I have just downloaded iOS 6 and Apple Map has not appeared. I have searched the entire pad and nothing shows. I have Google Earth but never had Google Maps as such unless they are bothe the same. I have other street finder and turn by turn directions, but would like to see what Apple Map is all about. Any ideas where I can find it please?

I have the New iPad and the last two times I went to charge it overnight, it didn't charge. I tried moving the charger to a different outlet and it would click to indicate that it was charging and then it would stop. Finally, it did charge, but today it just won't begin to charge. Is this a common problem? Very frustrating after paying the big bucks to get the latest iPad.
There are probably three reasons your ipad might not charge:
1. The outlet is. It good. But you've already changed outlets so that may not be the likely cause. Just to be sure double check the outlets with another appliance to make sure the outlet has power.
2. The charger is bad. First make sure you are using the charger that came with your iPad. Then double check all your connections.
3. Your connector on the iPad may have dirt in it. Blow the dust out and try again.
If none of these work your iPad may be falty or you may need a new charger. Goto a apple store and have them check out your hardware. -
I have the new ipad and when I stretch the screen a horizontal line appears when I scroll whatever page or location I am on. The line is not there if the screen is minimised. Any solutions?
I can't personally as I never really liked nor used the picture frame feature in iPad. Just search in the App Store and read customer reviews and you'll likely find something you'll like.
