I have to upload files from pagemaker 6.5 but no one can open them.

I have a lot of files (posters, brochures, etc) created in pagemaker 6.5. I try to send them to graphics services but no one can open them. They all want pdf files but acrobat will not convert the p6.5 documents. Any suggestions. Or is pagemaker out lived its usefulness and I should get another program.

Everything you need is on the PM Setup CD. However, PM6.5 is ten years so if you are using WinXP SP3, expect problems.
There's some advice here, but it relates to PM7 and Win2K (which indicates it's no longer current). ISTR that you cannot simply copy/extract Distiller because Adobe are very protective of it.

If one drive works and the other doesn't that points the finger at the errant drive. They are cheap, replace it. To check formatting right click it in Finder and choose Get Info and look for Format type. Finally do you eject it when removing it or do you just pull it out of the USB connection?

I have read 118 files from a directory using the list.vi. Each file has 2 cols with 2088rows. Now I have the data in a 2 D array with 2cols and 246384rows (118files * 2088rows). However I want to put each file in the same array but each file in separate columns. then I would have 236 columns (2cols for each of the 118 files) by 2088 rows. thank you very much in advance.

here's a couple of .vi's that might help out. I've taken a minimum manipulation approach by using replace array subset, and I'm not bothering to strip out the 1D array before inserting it. Instead I flip the array of filenames, and from this fill in the end 2-D array from the right, overwriting the column that will eventually become the "X" data values (same for each file) and appear on the right.
The second .vi is a sub.vi I posted elsewhere on the discussion group to get the number of lines in a file. If you're sure that you know the number of data points is always going to be 2088, then replace this sub vi with a constant to speed up the program. (by about 2 seconds!)
I've also updated the .vi to work as a sub.vi if you wa
nt it to, complete with error handling.

If it will not connect to your computer, and it will not connect to the Internet, either via WiFi or cellular data, then there is no practical way to extract the information. There are no magic words that will fix the broken hardware.
You could try a 3rd party data recovery service, but doing so will forfeit your right to a discounted out of warranty replacement. Only you can decide it it's worth that.

I am trying to export all of the separate audio files from Logic Pro X so that I can transfer them into pro Pro Tools, however it won't let me do it without the panning information. The option to untick panning is greyed out. How can I do it?

Is there an easy way to convert and import MTS files from a external hardrive so that I can edit them in FCP?

I am trying to convert game footage that is in MTS format to something that I can edit into a quick highlights video. I have final cut express and the standard IMovie '09. looking for easiest solution, everything seems to involve using one application to convert to Quicktime and then dropping file into Iphoto etc. is there an easy way?

I'm not completely sure that MPEG Streamclip can convert AVCHD footage (.mts files). If MPEG Streamclip doesn't do the job, then get a copy of Clipwrap, which was designed for transcoding .mts files to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec (that's the format/codec you need to convert the .mts files to for use in FCE).

i tried to get the installation disc for the camcorder but mac wont' recognize it becaue it is windows based i guess.

That camera shoots H.264 in an .avi wrapper.
You will have to transfer the files via the Finder.
Get a free copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert them to QuickTime .mov using the H.264 codec if you are presumably editing in iMovie.
Note that your list of video codecs won't look like mine as I have Final Cut Pro, but H.264 is definitely an option for you.

Unable to upload files from local computer to remote server (Was: Dreamweaver)

I have lost the connection between the remote location and the local location for files on my computer. Where to I correct this issues, since I cannot upload files from local to remote. Host server from server to my computer works fine, Running Dell computerr XP operating system with CS3 Dreamweaver. Need all the help I can get.

You cannot get the InputStream of the uploaded file directly. The InputStream you can obtain from request.getInputStream() contains a lot of other data as well as the uploaded file. You will have to parse the data in the InputStream to find the data that belongs to the file.
A short cut is to use the HTTP Multipart File Upload available from www.jenkov.com. It simplifies file upload and makes it easy to obtain an InputStream for only the uploaded file. It also handles upload of multiple files. It is free, open source, Apache license, so if it doesn't fit your needs, you can always read the code and see how it works. Then write your own upload servlet.

Uploading files from the iPad to the web

I'm interested in uploading files from my iPad to the web. Specifically, I run a wiki to manage many documents and often upload them from my computer. This means having to email documents from my iPad to my computer. I have a dropbox account already, but it won't serve as a place to pull files from. Is there an app or a browser that can create a way to upload files directly?

synching doesn't seem to make a difference it doesn't copy whats on the ipad over.
The problem is when i go in to itunes and click on ipad then on books theres a ton of pdfs that are there that are on the ipad but i cant find when i go to ibook, i don't want to delete them off with out knowing what they are and the fact is i dont seem t0 have a copy on my computer anymore

Uploading Files From VC (invoking RFC) into ECC

I have a requirement which consist of uploading files (from any PC) XML or PDF extension into ECC. I need to do this with a web UI. I got no experience with CE 7.1 (and above) and I just wonder if it is possible from CE 7.1 VC or CE 7.2 VC uploading files into ECC with an RFC development. Is there any uploading component available in VC 7.X which I am not aware of ???

ECC SAP invoice manage (1 server)
*Open Text - Invoice Content (1 server)
My requirement is to built a Web User Interface Portal for uploading files (from any computer) and save it into ECC and OpenText Server. I would like to do this with VC but there is no any component for uploading files (not available in NetWeaver 7).
I do not know if it is a component for uploading files available in CE 7.1 VC or higher and I really would like to know and request for this installation.
