I have configured the LAN settings,
I have used the Command Prompt
I have updated iTunes to the most recent update available.
I still get the message "iTunes cannot connect to the update server."
I know it's not my internet connection..
I can't think of anything else to try.
I just want to update my iPod to ios 5 D:

Close the mail app completely and reboot your iPad.

You don't. the ipad is not a backup/storage device. it simply mirrors the selected content of your computer. The sync is one way - computer to ipad. The only exception is itunes purchases.
Did you fail to maintain a backup copy of your computer?
If so, not good.
You may be able to purchase a third party program, not supported by Apple, to get the other music.

So, I have literally tried everything in my power to sync my ipod. I restored it, and it synced everything back on except my music. My apps are there, but not my music. What do I do now? I don't have an alternate computer that I can possibly sync it to.

I know your case well. It comes with the Antec SL350, which has enough power for your system.
I would try different RAM just to see if you have a bad stick.

Hi Chris thanks for the reply , my iMessage was working until I listened to voda domes instructions to do a network reset now it's says waiting for activation , I have reset the phone I have a SIM card change as Vodafone thought my SIM card was faulty and took the phone back to the shop and changed it for a new one , I've been on many forum sites and a lot of people are having the same problem as I can send a txt message bit can't receive them Andy account is set up correctly on vodafones side ... You can do it with Leopard but it depends upon the iTunes version which you did not reveal. Also make sure you are looking in the right place for purchases.
Consider buying a backup drive so you do not need to do this again. If you are going to run old hardware and software you need to live differently because yes, at some time you will find your version of iTunes no longer works. You're lucky it still works with Leopard. As you can see, some versions still work with the iTunes Store but not for repeat downloading.

Did you try restarting it by holding down the hold and lock button at the same time until you get the apple logo? If you already tried that then you should try putting it in DFU mode and doing a restore by following these instructions- http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034

I'm pretty sure it's a bug in either iOS 6 or iTunes 10.7. I kept getting it until I quit iTunes and re-ran it again. I then started sync from the iPad itself.

Ok, IMAP server almost universally allow multiple connections. Thunderbird as you would have observed uses 5 if they are available. As Airmail suggested, iphones just use more and more until they exhaust the available connections. There is no set maximum option.
However there are other things that can consume connections and some may surprise you.
Anti spam tools such as mail washer
Anti virus programs in their anti spam or anti phishing roles
Web mail.
The wife sharing the same account on her laptop.
That is from the top of my head. So could any of those apply.

When I turn on power, the fans start up, and voltages of +5, -5, 3.3,
12, -12 are all present.
There are no POST beeps, and no video output.
Power can be turned on from front panel, but cannot be turned off.
I have placed FSB jumper into Safe Mode. I have cleared CMOS memory.
I have removed all drives, to simplify troubleshooting.
I have also tried removing memory and video board--shouldn't I still get at
least POST beeping?
