I have two computers with WinXP SP3. At first FF 4.0.1 upgraded to 5.0 without disabling 2-pane bookmarks add-on, on the second I get warning that this add-on will be disable after upgrading to 5.0!
Both instalations of FF are almost identical, profile of second was cloned to the first one. What to do?

Thanks one again. I know you helped me the last to. I do have the Deja Vu font set in my folder. I downloaded and the last time. So I don't know if there is supposed to be more or not, but those were installed with Windows-XP after my reformat.
This is really driving me nuts. as I've done several re-formats on my computer and several friends computers and even upgraded hardware so I am not necessarily a software or programming expert, I am somewhat advanced when it comes to computers in general and can usually diagnose the problem but these font's are the problem and they never were before.
I did see in another forum that if you had a Dell Computer and did the Microsoft update for the onboard video card driver that it could be the culprit, but I have that disabled being I have a much better graphics card so the updates from Microsoft for the onboard video weren't installed.
It' a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller so I don't believe it is the culprit being it is disabled. The actual video card that I am using is a PCI Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT with 1 GB Memory. And I didn't have any problem before.
I appreciate the help. But still can't get things to work. Live Help Chat doesn't open for another two hours so maybe they can do "Remote Access" or something and can check setting and help me. But if you come up with other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

i imported two aol mail boxes to each of my two computers. now my mail folders are different on each computer .mac I want to merge the folders not replace them. after several attempts I got the folders to be copied in the server area below, but there is no messages. when I tried moving them manually a dozen at a time, it worked and then the emails disappeared.

If you have an IMAP account (.Mac does IMAP), all you have to do is set up that account on both computers. All the messages in server-stored mailboxes will automatically appear on both computers. If the messages are stored in local mailboxes on one of the computers, you can just move or copy them to a server-stored mailbox.

I haven't tried this myself, but you could probably use Home Sharing to copy your playlist to your other computer. First set up home sharing on both computers (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4620), then on the computer with the playlist go to iTunes>Preferences>Sharing and choose share selected playlists, checking the playlist that you are trying to recover. Then on the computer without the playlist, create a new playlist with the same name, then drag and drop the songs from the other computer into the playlist you just created.

PLEASE HELP. Two computers with the same External IP Address
I have two computers with the same IP address which is causing problems. I tried to ipconfig/release ipconfig/renew but I get the error "No operation can be performed on a Local Area Connection* 11 while it has its media disconnected.
I tried resetting router/modem, made sure "Obtain an IP address automatically" are all enabled. DHCP is enabled.
Two of the computers have the same one and the other IP is completely different (not 1 or 2 off). When I open the router settings and click DHCP Reservation it shows the IPs 1 number off and all different like you said. i.e ***.***.*.106, ***.***.*.107,
***.***.*.108. But with the proxy service I'm using, when trying to allow each computer to use them it shows different IP addresses than what is shown in the DHCP Reservation.
If I clone my MAC address the identical IP of the two computers changes but they'll still share the same IP. The third doesn't change.
I tried ipconfig /release - ipconfig /renew - ipconfig /flushdns nothing yet. Not sure about your #2 and #3. And I just updated my firmware.
Anyone with expertise? Thanks.Cyber_Defend_Team and ZigZag3143x I powered down all three computers and turned off/reset the modem and router.
I restarted them one by one and after, the two computers with the conflicting IP address changed their IPs but their IPs are still conflicting. The third computers IP stayed the same.

I can find no such listing. I have two computers linked to my account so I know that adding another one would be ok. Any suggestions?

After several years of use very satisfied with Firefox, recently loaded version (4.0.1) severely slows my browsing, and even my system, especially when there are pictures or videos. I said that this was not the case before and my system is Windows XP SP3.
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -

To move one of the phones to a different iCloud account (if that's what you want to do), go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data to Off. When prompted, choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This will delete the account from the phone but not from iCloud so the other phone will not be effected. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn iCloud syncing in Settings>iCloud back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new iCloud account.
You will then have to go to icloud.com and sign into each iCloud account separately and delete any unwanted data that you don't want on the phone syncing with each account. -

Hi, is the iMac also 10.6.8? I had an iMac die when 10.6.8 was installed, it worked at first but after some You Tube flash videos the screen just locked and no mouse clicking anywhere did anything. It turned out that most older iMacs [ mine was from august 2007] have a graghics chipset that can't handle Snow Leopard, there were [are?] 77 pages on this "locked screen"topic in the Snow Leopard forum. I checked out a web site that tells you how much your mac is worth by filling in the sereal number-mine was worth only $168, I may give it to a friend for his children to play with, although that seems unholy. I doubt anyone woud buy it,the problem is now so well known that even Apple certified resellars here in the Netherlands refuse to repair them,they claim Apple will revoke their certification if they replace the faulty Graphics unit,it is also VERY hard to get to that unit in an iMac, everything is so tightly packed inside.
If your iMac is running Mountain Lion[10.8.0] you may have to change the app store preference to accept apps from all sites,normally ML will only allow app store apps to be downloaded. -
Auto Attendant - I have two entries with the exact same name when msDS-PhoenticDisplayName set

We want the UM attendant to speak first name lastname so I put in the msDS-PhoeneticDisplayName value by using the set-user command. After this was entered, the UM attendant will say "I have two entries with the exact same name" and speaks both
names identically. When I remove the value the problem goes away so I am confident this field is causing the problem. Anyone else have this problem and solved it?Is it possible to find out what serial or UDID info is stored on iCloud being used by the FindMyIphone site? The FMI website doesn't show anything but the name and the device image (which is a generic iPhone image, and definitely not the 5S )
